When trying to create a Calendar based Maintenance Plan, and having entered all the relevant data,  the system generates an error message

Error Message

The system does not recognize any of either the Action specified in the Selection Parameters as being valid:

Actions & their validity

Nor does it recognize any of the PM Actions within the system:

I can find no way at either the Actions or PM Actions level of being able to do anything that will change their status or validity to prevent the error message from being generated

Hi @AsahiNick ,

Thank you for reaching out and providing the details on the Calendar Generation issue.

After reviewing the scenario and your screenshots, it appears the error message:

“There are no valid actions for the entered criteria.”

is likely due to the PM Actions currently being in 'Preliminary' status.
IFS requires that all referenced PM Actions be set to 'Released' or 'Active' for Calendar Generation to proceed. Preliminary records are not considered valid for scheduling.

✅ Action Plan

1. Update PM Plan Status
Go to the PM Plan screen and move each relevant plan from Preliminary to Released.

2. Verify Action Validity
Confirm that the COMPREHENS Action is:

  • Set to Active (which it is, based on your screenshot),

  • Linked to the correct Connection Type (e.g., Equipment),

  • Associated with the appropriate Site and Maintenance Organization.

3. Confirm Valid Date Range
Ensure the PM Plan’s start date falls within the “Date From” – “Date To” range used during Calendar Generation.

4. Validate Object ID
Make sure the selected Object ID (e.g., 3503-3503-1) is tied to a Released PM Plan with a valid Action.

Once these adjustments are made, you should be able to re-run the Calendar Generation process successfully.

Hope this helps others who might encounter a similar issue!
Feel free to reply here if you’d like help walking through any of the steps.

Seems like the PM’s are not Active. Still in Preliminary status?
