Hi all,

Firstly thank you for your help in advance. 

I’m looking for a bit of guidance on what is hopefully an easy fix. 

 

I’m looking to apply some conditional formatting to a table, based on the value (number) of a particular column being the “highest” in the column. 

Naturally right clicking on the appropriate column header>”conditional formatting” allows me to apply basic logic such as  > “higher than”, however is anyone aware of a “value”/formal which would simply highlight the largest number in the column?

I have never used that feature but I anyway guess it's not possible (because it would require logic that I think we did not put in place).

Obvious question back at you: can't you just sort on that column? 🤔

Hi Mathias - The table is custom and used for a fast paced production input with dozens of lines entered per minute at times. Unfortunately after every new input IFS “re-sorts” the table sporadically and the most recent line entered is rarely at the bottom. After a while, this has proven to be difficult for staff who require a visual aid to quickly identify their most recent input. The column i’m looking to conditionally format (highest number) is a custom “sequence” number which marks every new input with a new number, however as stating above, this doesn’t sort automatically and IFS likes to reshuffle after every input. 

Could Chart View help in this situation, can you use this in your custom table? With this you at least have a visual of the data and can focus on the object with the maximum value.

Here I have a list of my planned shop orders with Lot Size as the y-axis. Of these 38 orders I can see which one has the greatest lot size.

Okay. It's hard without seeing what you mean to suggest ways around this. Can you provide a screenshot?
