FSM Import/Export : Importing multiple child records with the parent

Hi Experts,I’m trying to import the following structurepart with two associated models and an associated supplier. The models and suppliers I’m loading already exist in the system.My map looks as following,When I import the following data,I get this errorI assume it’s becasue the supplier part was already added in the first record. in the import/export wizard I chose the following,So my question is, what am I doing wrong here. What changes should I make to be able to get the above data setup imported with one map?

Deploy some personal releases on every FSM environment

Hi All,One of the IFS FSM customers is having following concerns. Could you kindly provide your valuable suggestions.Do you know it could be a problem if we deploy a personal release on an environment that is under a different IFS release? The subject of this question is : - If we generate a package using the "package deployment" feature from a source environment in FSM6U13 ; can we deploy this package on a target environment in FSM6U16 ? (and conversely)Thanks.

Access Groups - child records to have same Access Group as parent?

(FSM 6) We’re making some changes to data visibility in FSM and are trying to set all Tasks to be in the same Access Group as their parent Request - even when the parent Request updates. The predefined business rules for setting Access Groups (67, 70) only fire before insert/update for their associated tables. This means a Request’s Access Group may change and the Task won’t follow it. Those rules seem the only way to change the Access Group of a record in FSM - meaning I can’t just make a custom rule that updates that column. I could make a custom rule that updates a userdef on the child Task when its parent Request is updated to trigger the appropriate predefined rule but that seems hacky. Am I missing a better approach to this or some key understanding of how the rules behave? Would rather write a hacky rule than change how we’re using the fields because that would break some of our reporting, but if I can avoid creating a new rule entirely - even better!

How Can I Add Object Conn. Form As Custom Tab To Change Order Screen

Hello,I tried to use that codes as source when i trying to add custom tab;tbwEcrObjConntbwCapaObjectsBut when i used that forms its populated as ecr connections or capa connections ofc.So probably i should modify Object Connection but dont know what should i do.Thats the problem. I want to add standart Object Conn. form to some screens like Change Order etc. clearly.So can you tell me which “frm” or “tbw” i should use?Best Regards.

Change Unit Cost of a part

Hi Team, We have a requirement to change the “Unit Cost” of a part using IFS APPS 9.My concerns as below.Since this is Apps 09, there is no option to “Modify level cost details” when RMB on line. Misc Part Info as below.Even though we have change the part cost in Cost Set 01, the unit cost is not changed as 50.00 We have tried to change the unit cost by setting “Count per inventory part” to zero and adding original value. But the unit cost is automatically fetched. There is no define cost option in Apps 9 How can we change the unit cost of the part in Apps 9?Is there any patches available to add Modify Level Cost detail menu option or Define Cost checkbox to Apps 9?Thanks and Best Regards,Thilanga

Sending SMS

Hello,In Apps 8, we used a custom event and Oracle API to send an SMS to our engineers upon a work order being assigned to them.The Oracle API Command_Sys.Send_Sms_Message works in Apps 8, but it seems it has been removed in Apps 10 and we need an alternative method of sending SMS.Does anyone have this working in Apps 10, and are they able to share how they have achieved this please?RegardsShaun

Mass Update button - Screen refresh doesnt complete automatically

Hi Team, I have configured mass update button on task table only. It completes successfully as expected and the run log also shows the status complete but on the screen it keeps refreshing but doesnt complete.Update is done on the task table though. Only option I find is to refresh the browser to work on the screen where mass update button is enabled. Is this a product bug or should we check something to make it automatically?Please note that run ID is completed with the results and update on the table is also effective. Regards,Jithesh

How to change the default queue for Inbound Request connect messages

We are receiving a Inbound synchronous message into IFS, by default it is posting to “DEFAULT” queue. No routing rule is created for this integration. But when I tried to create a routing rule by giving a different queue, the routing rule is not picked. My question is Can we configure routing rules for Inbound synchronous ? If not possible by routing rule, how to change the default queue for Inbound synchronous messages ?

Export map for parent-child structures

Hi Experts,I am trying to understand the ins and outs of the import/export functionality in FSM. I have a couple of questions as following,Can we use a map to export parent-child structures? I tried this with a simple map The record I’m trying to export, The result after I export using the above map (model info is missing) What’s the use of group name and parent group name in the column map?Appreciate any help.

Custom Event Project to Project Totals tab - Access denied

Hey everyone, I am creating a custom event on the Project screen that will make the Project Totals tab ‘Manual POC’ field an automatic zero is a Project is in a certain Project Group. This is dictated by a custom field checkbox. I have debugged the ‘DO’ action of the Manual POC field and it requires (info_, objid_,objversion_,attr_,’DO’) In attr it requires Company, Project_id, Ledger_id(That is always ‘*’), Manual_POC(That will always be ‘0’ when this action runs). I have created the action to run after the Accounting_Project table gets a new Project_id, Company, and Project_group data. Error re manual pegging when trying to cancel PO line

User cancelled line on Customer Order first - now when we try to cancel line on PO we get the error that manual peggings exist for this line - unpeg before cancelling except we can’t unpeg because line is already cancelled on CO.Help!!! How do I find the record to unpeg

MRP Planning Forecast

Hi all, I have a question (well actually 1000 questions) in regards to MRP. We are trying to move the planning process into MRP, I am fairly new to the company and to IFS. We want the forecast to be generated in the DP client, and then transferred to MS1 and MRP, and then for MRP to plan purchase requirements. However, we are raising shop orders for our finished goods, as well as assembled parts. As far as I can tell MRP would plan for both, Forecast from the DP client and shop orders, which would a duplication. How can I set MRP to look at Forecast only, not at shop orders? Thank you, Jess

Hello community, I would like to know if it is possible to create and manage discount coupons in IFS. For example, if my customer buys 100€ of goods I offer a 20€ discount on its next purchase.How could I :create the discount coupon in IFS apply the discount coupon on the next customer order see how much money remains for the discount coupons of my customer (in this example if the next customer order is less than 20€ and there is still some money remaining on the discount coupon)Thank you,

Depreciation Method MACRS with 168(k) Bonus Allowance

Hello We have US assets that will required MACRS depreciation that includes a 168(k) Allowance % of 50%. For example, we have this asset with a 168(k) allowance % of 50% and a depreciable % of 200. Is there a depreciation method from the existing ones below that would be appropriate to use ? Or if there is none, how could one be set up? When I look at some of these methods I do not see a field where I can specify a 168(k) allowance %. Would appreciate any input and assistance on this.
