WaDaCo - Receive_shop_order / Manufactured_Date

Dear, In APPS10, when using the data Collection Configuration, is it possible to set the Manufactured_Date with a default value : SYSDATE-7? I did a few tests but I’m always running into an issue with the format of the default value. Running the WaDaCo returns an error “String was not recognized as a valid DateTime”. Multiple trials and errors did not result in a succes. Thanks for your feedback. Best RegardsRoel

IFS MWO Service - New Request Quotation

Dear All, Playing around with the IFS MWO Service app for Cloud. One of the features is the ‘New Request Quotation’. When you click it you get a window where you need to enter 4 mandatory fields: Description Customer Service Service Organization Description and customer are no issue. But under ‘Service’ and ‘Service Organization’ my drop down menu’s remain empty. Where do I add information so that these become available? For Service Organization => In IFS app I did find a window called ‘Service Organization’ and I added some default in but this does not seem to go through to the MWO app. Is this the correct window? And for the ‘Service’ field, I don’t have any ideas. :-) Thanks for your help. Best RegardsRoel

Business Reporter - How To?

Hello All, Can somebody provide a good document/tutorial/work instructions on how to create a Business Report? I don’t seem to find any good manuals that describe the possibilities and ways that we can use business reporter. For example: - If I use a Repeater on a row, can I use this repeater and define this immediatley as a dynamic XLS table? - Can I make a Pivot table of this? - How can I create a bar chart that takes into account the dynamic range of the repeater? - How to add an additional ‘calculated’ column to the table? Customer Owned - INT PURCH DIR

Hi All, I was trying to do an INT PURCH DIR to deliver a part that is customer owned but located in a sister company directly to my own customer.So my site is Site 1, But the -customer owned part lies in stock on site 2. I now want to sent a Customer order to my customer selling the customer owned part using INT PURCh DIRECT from site 2. But apparenlty the combination ‘Customer Owned’ and ‘INT PURCH DIR’ is not allowed. Is this expected behaviour? Why is it not allowed? Should it be allowed? Is there a workaround for this? Intercompany Repairs of non-serialized parts

Dear All, I was wondering what the standard/best approach is to execute intercompany Repairs of non-serialized items. The situation: Sales Company A is in direct contact with customer X Customer X has a problem with a non-serialized part and wants to sent it back to check if it can be repaired Repairs are not done in Sales Company A, but in Repair Company B - which is physically a different location than Sales Company A The invoicing of the repair costs needs to be done by Sales Company A to customer X Repair Company B can invoice an intercompany repair service to Sales Company A (at a lower rate than what the Sales Company A invoices the customer X) What proces/combination of processes can we use here? The part is non-serialized, so wherever we can we need to use ‘Customer Owned’ so we can make a difference between regular stock and Customer Owned stock.We are working on IFS Cloud.Best RegardsRoel

WO generated from Service Contract - Customer Empty

Hi, I generated a WO from a Service Contract and noticed that the Customer is empty. The PM that I used is linked to a Work task Template, and the Work Task Templates DO have the Customer on there. So why do the Work Tasks have the customer, but the Work Order itself is empty. This is rather confusing. Or is there a specific reason for this that I am missing here? Best RegardsRoel

Customer Schedule - How To?

Hi All, I’m trying to familiarize myself with Customer Schedule in order to fulfill a demand from a customer. But I’m getting a bit lost in the complexity of theset-up and basic data. Serial Object - Operational Status

Hi All,How do I change the operational status of my Serial Object? Situation: I have a demomachine which was already created as a Serial Object “RTI221202-002-000002”.The demomachine was sold to a customer “RTI-DIST-CUST-2” and placed under Superior SM Object Id “RTI-DIST-CUST-2-GROUP1”. Because of that sales the “Current Position” of the object is set to ‘Issued’. As a direct result the Operational Status is set to ‘Out of Operation’. But how can I change this? (Should I be able to change this??). (For Serial Objects with Current Position = “In Facility’ I am able to change the Operational Status.) According to below table the Current Position = ‘Issued’, and the Operational Status is always = “Out of Operation”.But I would like to be able to toggle this to know if a machine is still running @the customer… How does this work? best RegardsRoel P.S. additional question: how does the ‘Operational Status’ on the Serial Object link to the Operational Status in the WOrk Order and PM Basic D

Track replacement of parts purchased by client

Hi All, I am looking for suggestions on the following situation: we have sold a customer a equipment that helps him in his production process the machine needs regular maintenance and replacement of wear parts (non serial tracked)Now I have 2 situations:The customer buys the wear parts from us and puts it in their stock (Handled through standard Customer Order Process) The customer buys the wear part from a different source, but the part is technically identical (For example: standard electronics like a power supply or TL lights,...)How can we track the replacement of these parts during a standard intervention (Work Order)?I need a transparant and easy way to track inside IFS that these parts where replace on Day/time X so we can keep track of Mean Time To Failure. What’s the best way to track this? Taking into account we want to extract overviews and use search functionality and filters - so regular text fields don’t do the trick. Best RegardsRoel

IFS Cloud 22R2 - Dissassembly proces

Hi All, We have following situation for a machine building company: Their machines are build using different modules which are easily interchangeable. So we have for example a Serial Object with Serial ‘1’ which is composed of 5 modules A,B,C, D and E; Each module is also a Serial Object and ‘Contained’ within the structure of Serial Object 1. The Serial object 1 was purchased by a client X years ago, but his machine was outdated and he replaced it with a new one, our customer got the old one back as part of the new machine deal. Now they want to ‘upgrade’ that old machine. Upgrading means: they will disconnect all modules, and re-insert a combination of new and existing modules into the machine frame so it becomes a new model (= new part number, and new part serial). So Serial Object 1 is back on stock after the sale has been made. They will strip module A,B,C,D, E and put these on stock - together with the machine frame. IPAP - Filter on Condition Code

Hi All, I have a customer that is focussing more and more on his Supply Chain planning and looking at the IPAP details. Now they have parts that use Condition Codes (NEW/DAMAGED/REPAIRED). The repairs are done externally by their supplier and this is handled through the External Service orders. Now, the external repair process creates a CO to send the damaged parts to their supplier and a corresponding Po to receive the repaired parts back. In the IPAP we see these PO’s with repaired parts. Now comes the crux: the company has an internal decision that the repaired parts are only to be used in the Service Department, not in Production. So they actually don’t want to see the incoming Po’s of repaired items because this throws their supply chain for production a bit off. So actually, they would like to exclude parts based on condition code from the IPAP overview. But i don’t see any possibilities on this in the standard IFS solution. Print Serviceability Tag

Hi All, In the APPS10 versions we had ‘Report In Work Order’ and where you had the RMB option to ‘Print Serviceability tag’. In the cloud version, ‘Report In Work Order’ seems to have been renamed to ‘Conclude Work Order’, but I can’t seem to find the ‘Print Serviceability Tag’ anymore. Unit based sales price list vs Customer Agreement - deal per part

Hi All, I have a situation where we want to use ‘Unit based Sales pricelists’. We have a huge number of sales parts, all belonging to the same family and having same price strategy in function of volume. However, it might be that a customer negotiates a specific price for an inidivual sales part belonging to that product family. So I was thinking about ‘Customer Agreement’ - ‘Deal per part’, because this special price would only be applicable to that one customer. Alle other customers would still use the regular ‘Unit based’ pricelists for that part and the related product family. Howver, in order to use ‘Customer Agreement’ - ‘Deal per part’ I need to use ‘Sales Part Base Prices’, but it seems you can’t select parts belonging to a ‘Unit Based’ Sales price Group. Is that correct? Is there a way to combine these 2? Or do we need to change the part from a ‘Unit based’ sales price group to a ‘Part Based’ Sales price group and add this to a new sales price lists so the normal customer use

Resource Scheduling on Work Orders and Shop Orders

Hi All, I have a resource that is working on both Shop Orders (Production) and Work Orders (Field Service Engineer).Case:a field service engineer that has no immediate work orders will jump in and help the production guys. We want to be able to schedule this. A Production resource is required to go on-site to a customer because of his specific expertise and will need to be assigned to a work orderShop Order planning is done through Advanced Planning Board.Work Order planning is done with Allocate Resource and Resource Monitoring Gantt. Problem:On APB, I can see my production resource/Field service engineer but I do not see when he is assigned to a Work Order(s).On allocate Resource: I can see my production resource but I do not see already scheduled Shop Orders. Is there a way to have these 2 planning methods interact and at least show that Person X is working on a Work Order/Shop Order and is unavailable at that specific time? Best RegardsRoel

Technical Attributes and Class connected to Functional Object

Hi All, I have a question on connecting my Functional Object to a Technical Class (and Attributes). I did following:Created a Technical Class Created Technical Attributes (Numeric and Alphanumeric) Created Technical Class Template and connecting various Technical Atributes to the Class Template, and including ‘Attribute Values’ to the Alphanumeric AttributesCreated an Object Type Connected a Technical Class to my Object Specified the correct values for my Technical Attributes connected to the Object Type Approved my Technical Class for the Object TypeNavigate to Functional Object Add Object Type to my Functional Object This populated the tab ‘Requirements’ with the attributes from the Technical Class connected to the object type But…..Why are the values I specified on the Object Type not copied to the Functional Object? Shouldn’t this be populated as well? Maybe I am not understanding the functionality correct but I would assume the Technical Attributes of the Object Type Technical Cla

WaDaCo - Difference "Fixed" and "Default"

Dear All, I was working on the “Receive_shop_order” configuration.My item lines are in following order:Handling Unit ID Order No Release No Sequence No Part No Eng_Chg_Level Serial No Lot_Batch_NoUnder ‘Lot_Batch_No’ I used these parameters:Use Fixed Value = When applicable Use automatic value = Default Default Value = * Fixed Value = *Running the program, I need to input the Handling unit ID and the program automatically fetches all information and stops on the Lot/Batch no with a default value * proposed. So far so good. Now I always want the Lot_Batch No to be = *, and not present this to the user. So I changed the settings to;Use Fixed Value = Always Use Automatic value = Off Default Value = NULL Fixed Value = *However, when I run the program again, it will stop on ‘Part_NO’. It seems the application no longer finds the connection to the part number - somthing that worked perfectly in the first attempt. Customer Order - Connected Work Order no longer visible after 'Release' of WO

Hi ALl, Working in 23R1 and I noticed some strange behaviour.I created a Work Order from a Customer Order using ‘Related Pages’ > ‘Service Request’. Once the Work Order was created I could go from CO to WO by using ‘Related Pages’ > ‘Connected Work Orders’. But strangely enough, as soon as the WO goes into status ‘Released’, you can no longer navigate from the CO to the WO because the ‘Connected Work Orders’ link is no longer present. It is replaced with ‘Service Request’ again. (see printscreens below). I am happy that there is a possibility to connect a second WO to my CO, but not so happy with the fact that the possibility to easily navigate from CO to Wo is now gone as soon as my WO becomes ‘Released’. Is this intended behaviour or a bug? Looking forward to any feedback on this. Maintenance Plan - Inventory Part Demand Published

Hi, Can anyone tell me how you can check/uncheck the “Inventory Part Demand Published’ checkbox on the Maintenance Plan of a PM action (APPS10)? The help file says it’s read only, but somewhere there must be a way to define whether it should be checked or unchecked for a certain Part/PM action, right? Best RegardsRoel

Mobile Work Order versus Cloud application

Dear All, I’ve noticed that the standard IFS Cloud has a lobby called ‘Service Technician’ that seems to be using similar functionality as the Mobile Work Order application. When you click on ongoing Work Orders you get the possibilities to start travel, start work, complete work and do a report in. But I am still missing some things like: issueing parts, a service report BEFORE customer signature (so my customer can read what I’ve done - similar to the MWO). Is this functionality present in the IFS Cloud application, if yes, where can I found it? Or is it still under development or how is this moving forward? Best RegardsRoel Timmermans

Refill Remote Warehouse - Transport Task/Shipment Order

Dear All, I am in a situation where I want to automatically be informed when remote warehouses need to be refilled.To do so I have define my Remote Warehouse as a putaway zone, I have created a Remote warehouse parts assortments with refill order point and refill to qty with Refill source = inventory. The remote warehouse planning is ok. On site level I have set Transport Task automatic consolidation by multiple parts. So when I now run the ‘Refill all putaway zones’ it auto creates my transport task to move the goods from my main warehouse to the remote warehouse. So far so good. But now: actually I do not want to use a Transport Task but rather a Shipment Order. As indictaed on the “About Shipment Order” help page. Transport Tasks are good to move stullwithin the 4 walls of your building. Now I have a remote warehouse (the definition of remote being= not within the 4 walls of my building :-)), so I would like to use the shipment flow that is available in the Shipment Order process to

No Maintenance Organization when selecting 'New work'

Hi ALl, Does anyone have any ideas why my ‘Maintenance Organization’ drop down is not populating here? I’m trying to use Solution Manager > Mobile Apps > Configuration > Apps for Page Designer > Service Engineer > New Work. I can select my site, but my ‘Maint org’ remains an empty list. Allthough I do have MO’s defined and I am a Maintenance Employee. On the IFS MWO Service App it works fine but I also wanted to see if this functionality works the same. Additional info from CO to SO or Shipping

Hi All, What is the easiest way to get ‘additional info’ from the Customer Order to other departments - for example to Shop Orders or to Shipments. The info we are talking about are small remarks from the customer that need to be taken into account when producing or shipping the goods. For example: “Pack in boxes no larger than 50x50x50”. Or: “Truck needs to be loaded from the side”, or “do not use plastic when shipping” - “Courier needs to call delivery contact at least 1h before arrival”. Sales qty in fixed multiples

Hi,On the sales part it is possible to set a minimum sales qty, but is it also possible to set the sales qty as a fixed multiple. For example, you can only order multiples of 100 (100 - 200 - 300 -...) and not 250 for example?I would think there would be a standard field for something like this but I can’t seem to find it. RMA - Error Message

Dear All, I am trying to receive an RMA but I get this error message:The mobile application on the IFS10 was recently installed. The error does not occur on all RMA’s (I’ve identified 2 RMA’s as a problem - they use the same part number). I have tested with other RMA’s and they work fine.The part in question is a serialized part. best RegardsRoel
