Searching by Customer Name in Aurena

When searching by Customer Name in Aurena (Apps 10 UPD 13), the application does not return the expected results.  The same search works as expected in IEE.  Navigate to Customer Orders (Overview Page) Select drop down for Customer and uncheck Match Case (Aa) If I keep Match Case on, then the search seems to work.   Enter a partial of the Customer Name Such as ‘%abc%’ or ‘abc%’  SearchNo records are returned to the user.  If the user searches by Customer Number or other criteria, records are returned.  Has anyone else run into a same issue?

Scan It, Scandit & Data Matrix Barcodes

I’m in the middle of testing scanning a Data Matrix Barcode (i.e. QR code) on IFS Scan It and running into an issue with the below error.I’ve done the following:Obtained test license key from Scand it Set the Application ID/Bundle ID to com.ifsworld.barcodescanner and i also tried  then com.ifs.barcodescanner Entered the license key in IFS for the Android AppAlthough I keep running into one of the below errors. Is this an issue with the Scandit license key or am I missing set-up in IFS?IFS Version: 23R2Using a Samsung Galaxy S23 cameraIFS Scan It Version: 24.1.1092.0

Shipment Type not defaulting

Running into a strange error in which the Shipment Type is not being retrieved from the Site Default.Recreation Steps:Set-up default Shipment Type on Site (there is no Shipment Type defined for the Customer) Attempt to enter/save a Customer Order Line.  The Shipment Type will not be fetched and the user must manually select it through the Required Fields assistant that pops up.This is in a 22R2 SUPD 5 environment.

Serial Object - Warranty not displayed

Hi all,I’m running into an issue in which the Serial Object Warranty badge is indicated as ‘No’, however if you select the ellipsis and select Warranty, you will indeed see a Supplier and/or a Customer Warranty has been set-up.  This behavior is visible on the Serial Object as well as the Equipment Object Navigator.Process Steps:Receive Part with a Warranty Template defined (i.e. 1 year) Deliver this part to a Customer with SM Object creation specified on the Sales Part Navigate to either Serial Object or Equipment Object NavigatorHere is issue I see:  Is there something missing from the set-up?Thanks.

NotifyMe - FndStream Issue

I’m attempting to configure Notify Me and I appear to have the basic set-up completed, although I am not receiving push notifications.  Interestingly, when I selected a “Send Notification”, I did receive it.  When looking at the Mobile logs, I see the below error.  Where do I grant the user access to the FndStream and FndStreamExtension?Environment: 23R1Android App version 23.5.870.0

Sorting Date Issues - Inventory Transaction History per Part

Anyone else notice sorting issues within Inventory Transaction History per Part?Scenario: Attempting to sort records in a chronological order by Creation Date and Time.  Randomly there are anomalies as per the below screenshot:Date Format for reference is: MM/DD/YYYYEnvironments: 22 SUPD 5 and 22 SUPD 4 (different environments).  No recent changes.

Report Picking of Parts - WaDaCo - Loop/Subsequent Process

I’m running into a couple of different issues when using either the Loop or Subsequent process functionality when attempting to pick multiple parts.The following configuration flow is being used:Start Warehouse TaskStart PickingReport Picking of PartBusiness Scenario:A picker within the warehouse needs the ability to pick multiple parts then scan the appropriate Shipment Location to specify where they are physically placing the items.  The picker will not know which Shipment Location should be used until they have picked material and are physically bringing it to the shipment staging area.  Issue with Loop:If I attempt to create a loop with Report Picking of Parts, the loop is not considering unique lines. The next data set is always a duplicate set of data. I assume this is due to the Unique Line ID being Auto Picked so it continues to grab the first data set as nothing has been committed.Issue with subsequent process:If I attempt to use the subsequent process, the configuration promp

Extending search functionality - 22R2

Is it possible to extend search functionality in 22R2?  For example, if you are in a particular page in the application but the user is only able to search using one piece of criteria although additional information is available to query by.A specific scenario of this would be in Part Assortment (Entity: AssortmentNode), a user is only able to search by Part No, although they may want to search by one of the Node IDs or Node Description.Is it possible for this to be configured or would this require a modification of the core application?

Case Access Group Issue - Call Center

Move Reserved Stock Issue

I’ve run into an issue while attempting to move reserved stock for a Purchase Receipt Return.  Environment: 22R2 SU 5 and 23R1 core release (no SU applied)Process steps:Register Inspection Results on Receipt Specify Return for Credit Upon report return, a Shipment is created to return material to Supplier When I attempt to move this reserved stock to a different location, I get an error indicating that the material is reserved and I can’t move itMisc Set-up:Move Reserved Stock: Allowed Shipment Type: NP - Receipt Return is set to At Report Return (I’ve also tried not automatically creating the Shipment)Why does the application prevent a material movement when the Site setting allows moving of reserved stock?The business requirement requires material to be moved from one facility to an adjacent facility which will require two inventory moves - first to a staging location, then to the ultimate destination where it will get picked to the Shipment.  Is this a bug or core functionality?  Th

Report picking of parts in bulk - WaDaCo

Can the report picking by part support a bulk pick by part number?For example, if a Customer Order has:5 different lines for Part# XX-100 for a quantity of 5 each These 25 pieces exist in one Inventory LocationIs there any mechanism that would point the user to go the Inventory Location and pick 25 pieces of Part# XX-100 as opposed to 5 different line items of Part # XX-100?The business requirement requires multiple different line items as reports need to be generated in a specific format with unique tags being referenced on each line item.  Although this affects packing of the Shipment, the customer does not want this to impact Picking of the Shipment.  I assume that each line will be treated like it’s own line number (i.e. unique demand) as there is no native function in the UI to support this requirement but curious if I may be missing something.Environment: 23R1 SU1

Packing Proposal and WaDaCo

I’m working with a customer who is interested in utilizing Packing Proposal as well as a  WaDaCo configuration to validate the packing of the Shipment, although, this seems not possible from core.  Scenario:Warehouse worker (picker) will receive a Warehouse Task to pick material to a staging area to await packing.   Warehouse worker (packer) will review the staging area and would like to pack the order using WaDaCo based upon Packing Proposal recommendation Issue:Since Packing Proposal packs the Unattached Shipment Lines into Handling Units, the Warehouse Worker (packer) can no longer use Pack into Handling Unit on Shipment configuration as no unattached Shipment Lines exist anymore.  Since the packer is packaging the box based on paperwork and no barcode scanning, it’s possible they can put the wrong part in the wrong box.Is this on the radar to be addressed?I know it’s possible for the user to forego the Packing Proposal and just use the Max Weight/Volume on the Pack into Handling Un

Process Transport Task Part - WaDaCo Issue

Create and Pack HU - WaDaCo

Looking to combine the Create Handling Unit and Pack into Handling Unit on Shipment configuration.The process would be as follows:Create 1 Handling Unit (i.e. box) Pass this Handling Unit ID to the Pack into Handling Unit on Shipment configuration Create a loop of parts to continue to pack parts into the HU If more boxes are needed, the user restarts at step 1.It doesn’t appear possible to pass a Subsequent Data Item ID to the Pack into Handling Unit on Shipment configuration as the HU ID is not created until after the Create Handling Unit configuration is completed.  Is this a limitation or is this possible in some fashion?The users do not want to tag the Handling Units with labels during the packing process.  Environment: 23R1 SU1

Route Order Logic - Consolidated Picklist for Shipments

Hi all,Trying to understand what the core logic is when determining Route Order when creating Consolidated Pick Lists for Shipments.I understand that the Route Order is a hierarchy and the lower the numeric value, the higher its priority is.  The highest branch in the hierarchy is the Warehouse then Bay, Row, Tier Bin.How does the logic consider alpha numeric Route Orders?For example, if the Route Order is A1, is this considered higher than B1 or C1? What if the Route Order is more complex such as A1A, how is priority determined?The Business Case is to allow the Warehouse Personnel to accurately define in which route they want the Warehouse workers to pick material. This is in Apps 10 UPD 15 – Aurena Client.Thanks.

23R1 - Freight Booking Integration vs Freight Integration

Does anyone have any additional information regarding the Freight Booking Integration vs the Freight Integration?From my experience, the Freight Integration has been available since 21RX and requires integration specifically with 3rd party broker PaceJet.As of 23R1, I see functionality referring to the Freight Booking Integration.  It appears this may be related to the Freight functionality available in previous IFS versions (Apps 9/10, etc.)What are the intended differences between these offerings?

Enhanced ATP Questions - 22R2

Has anyone used the Enhanced ATP functionality released in 22R2?  After playing around with this in a reference environment, I’ve noticed some interesting behavior and it appears I may not be grasping some of the intended value by this enhancement. Below are just a few points I’ve seen thus far:Batch Release of Customer Orders It’s only possible to batch Release Customer Order Lines if the Planned Due Date is before or sooner than the Expected Unlimited Supply Date (EUSD) from the Inventory Part.  Why would you not be able to Release Customer Orders after this date?  Isn’t the assumption that all demand could be satisfied in theory after this date? Replanning of Customer Order Line Dates The Replanning feature does modify the Planned Delivery Date at times but only if any incoming Supply is arriving sooner than the EUSD. For example, if the Purchased Lead Time is 6 days (4/3/23) and the EUSD is 14 days (4/11/23). Availability Check will not allow you to enter a Customer Order Line

Part Characteristics vs Assortments

Interested to hear how others have handled a requirement for a hierarchical sales part catalog that allows individuals entering Customer Orders to easily search for and bulk add parts.It seems like Assortments offer the most out of the box functionality as they allow for a hierarchy and if you’re using the Quick Customer Order registration, you can add parts via an Assortment as well as a specific node.Part Characteristics seems like a ‘simpler’ option, but there is no way to bulk add parts based upon characteristics a user has searched for.

Excel Migration Job - Modification Issue

I’ve created an Excel migration job to modify values on a Sales Price List, but it seems that each time that I execute the job, a new record is created instead of updating the record that already exists. For this particular migration job, there will never be a requirement to insert new values, only update existing.   Any ideas what I am doing incorrectly? Environment: 23R1 SU 1 Source Mapping:Method List Attributes:

Customer Order Block Reason - Unable to modify

Has anyone else noticed a change in which a user defined Customer Order block reason cannot be modified?This was possible in Apps 10.  Has this functionality been removed?Noticed this in 22R2 SUPD 4 & 5 (two different environments)Recreation steps:Create two different user defined Customer Order Block Reasons Create a Customer Order Click Operations and Manually Block Order Select a Block Reason Save Edit the Customer Order and attempt to select a different Block Reason Either you’re unable to Save or the change value reverts upon saving to the original

On Screen Keyboard Issue - WaDaCo

Noticed an issue while working on a configuration regarding the On Screen Keyboard.While working on the Register Arrivals configuration, I’ve set the LOV to Off and accepted the default of having the On Screen Keyboard disabled, however, when testing this configuration on a handheld device, I’m still able to use the on screen keyboard.Is this an issue or a specific system limitation of some kind?Environment is: 22R2 SUPD 5Device tested was: Honeywell CT40XP (Android OS) and a Samsung S23.

Contacts vs Comm Method on Customer & Supplier

Curious how others are using Contacts and Comm Methods specifically around how configuring emailing Reports.  Do you use both tabs?  Do you have your contacts set-up as separate Comm Methods?  Do you just use Comm Methods or Contacts?

Purchase Requisition Authorizations for Projects, Sub-Projects and Activities

Hi all,I have a customer (Apps 10) requirement in which they want to have Purchase Requisition Authorization rules with varying approval templates based upon the Project, Sub-project or Activity.  For example, when the PR is released, the application is checking to see which sub-project or activity is associated with the PR and fetch the corresponding PR Rule and associated approval template.  Within Purchase Authorization Basic Data, we can define the applicable Project Role ID, however on the Purchase Requisition Rule itself, we can only define a Project ID or Project Category 1 or 2.  Is there anyway this can be accomplished with core functionality?Thanks,Faraz

Distribution Order created for incorrect Customer

Hi all,Curious if anyone else has some across a strange issue I noticed in a customer environment:Version: Apps 10 UPD 13 - Aurena & IEEIssue: Somehow when the Distribution Order was released, the internal Customer Order created was for the incorrect Customer ID.In the below scenario, we would expect the the internal Customer Order in Site 100 would be created against Demand Site internal Customer: 200, however, this did not occur -- instead, somehow, the internal customer ID was 300 which is the internal customer for an entirely different Site.  When the material was shipped from Site 100, the SHIPTRAN were created, however, no subsequent ‘Move to Internal Order Transit’ transactions (INTOORDTR) were created.In other words, the material is a bit stuck as we are unable to receive this into Site 300 or Site 200.  Has anyone encountered this or have any other suggestions?Seems maybe a DB change is required?Thanks!

Multiple Sales Pricing UoM

Hi all,I’m working with a client in Aurena (Apps 10 UPD 13) who would like the ability to toggle through multiple different Sales UoM on the Customer Order Line. For example, for the same part number/site, they may price the material by various weight UoM such as metric ton, lbs or short tons.   Is there any method this can be achieved via standard functionality in which I am missing?  If not, any alternate suggestions from other customers looking to achieve something similar? Thanks!
