On Screen Keyboard Issue - WaDaCo

Noticed an issue while working on a configuration regarding the On Screen Keyboard.

While working on the Register Arrivals configuration, I’ve set the LOV to Off and accepted the default of having the On Screen Keyboard disabled, however, when testing this configuration on a handheld device, I’m still able to use the on screen keyboard.

Is this an issue or a specific system limitation of some kind?

Environment is: 22R2 SUPD 5

Device tested was: Honeywell CT40XP (Android OS) and a Samsung S23.

Hi,

Yes, this “On-Screen Keyboard Enabled” feature is not working as expected in “IFS Scan It” app (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ifs.cloud.ScanIt) due to a framework limitation.
Disabling the feature will not have any effect, the keyboard is always able to be used.

I am not sure, but we might have a fix planned for this issue in the near future.

Please do report this if it affects the efficiency of the worker.

Yes, the customer would like this feature as they find it quite useful to have a control point (i.e. forces user to scan instead of typing.

Should this be submitted as a standard ticket?  Any special notation?
