Delay notification email until attachment ready

Is there a place to set in FSM that an email notification should not send until all reports set to attach are generated. By default, if the report is slow to generate, the email will send without the attachment.

Multiple Serial # on single work order quotation

Hello, Is there a way, we can record upto 4 serial numbers in a work order quotation under one work order. Currently we are manually recording multiple serials under Planning Tab in Sales part Description field. Moving on we want to use more serialized part and looking for a way to have multiple serial no.’s attached to one work order.. Serial Structure can be the way to record it? any experience or ideas please. Example: Thanks

User Level Permission - Saved Search

Hi There, Need your assistant, We had to create multiple Work types for each site ( we have around 10+ Sites) in order to cater business requirement at posting control level. However now each users at sites can see 100+ work types to select even though they want to display around 10+ work types. Current Workaround for this is create a global search condition and save it to user profile. Users are not educated enough to make this so IT have to logon to their account and do the necessary things My question is , Is there any chance to create the global search condition at super user level and grant the permission for relevant users without login using their user profile ? or Any Suggestion please

Supplier Consignment Stock - Identifying

We have started using Consignment Stock for Supplier-owned stock. We want to be able to identify such stock within the “Inventory Part In Stock” data. I could join to Inv Trans Hist using the Part_no/contract/Lot_batch_no to get the CO-ARRIVAL record, but at 75 million Inv Trans Hist rows, even forcing an index takes a very long time in an SQL statement. Any ideas as to how I can include/exclude within some of our Inventory Part In Stock reports? We are running IFS2003!

Delay notification alert (email, sms) based upon contact availability

Does anyone know if it is possible to create a notification (email, sms) to be sent at a later time? I have a requirement to send notifications to contacts only when they are available, and if not, to wait until they are available. Related to this, what DB table holds this message queuing information?

SOAP Access Provider - change queue fro Async message

Hi All, We noticed that the messages received by SOAP Access Provider (SOAPAction = urn:soap_access_provider:<BizAPI_Name>/post) is always put in the DEFAULT queue. Is there a setting to change this? IFS version: APPS10 UPD 6 Cheers!

I’m curious what the Parent Part Field is used for on the Material Tab in a Shop Order? I understand what parent means, but I’m curious who uses that field and what it’s used for, or tied to? We don’t use IFS as our engineering tool, is that what it would pull from, or? Thank you!

WO Number Generation

Hello, When we started with IFS, we started PPM WO numbering from 600,000. We are now up to 500,000 from service requests. So, I’m assuming when we get past 599,999 IFS will find the next available number to use, however, if we are generating new PM WOs and a work order is logged at the same time, will both processes fight for the next number? Where is the number sequencing controlled for work orders in IFS Apps 8? Regards Shaun

Waste management on package materials

I got in contact with a company that buys a lot of materials. All these materials are packed needed to protect the content when arriving in the warehouse. The company wants to have more clearity on this package materials (plastics, wood, carton, etc.). As they need to pay for the waste. Now that they don’t have full control over it, they pay the maximum. How does your company handle this waste. Does your company have a waste management system connected to IFS? Have package information connected to supplier for purchase part? All ideas welcome, Steve

Support Issues and Solutions

IFS has support issues under support center. Just wondering if anyone has used this module and if there is any functional document available. Looking at IFS screen help it seems to allow sending email from the support issue, which emails issue journal. However, when user emails reply does it automatically get appended to journal. I am trying to understand if this module is like Zendesk type ticketing system.

Create oracle acl for Extended server install in linux

Hi all After installing one extended server in Linux Apps10 upd 6 oracle database 19c. I have realized plsqlap access provider is not working well due to one oracle acl problem. I was trying to create new acls but the problems is not solved. I got this error ORA-24247: network access denied by access control list (ACL). Any help about how create the acls. I thought recreating the instance of the extended server will resolve the problem but not. Any help will be welcome? Regards

Hello Community, after installation of IFS, the processes will start all correctly (startifsAPPS10.bat). The website will shown https://HOSTNAME:48080 correctly. But when I start EE it will be get an 404 Error. There is no service under https://HOSTNAME:48080/main/default/clientgateway Does anyone have an idea?

Query build will not allow to select (First Distinct) value of Part Description

I have created a fairly simple query here selecting all order lines in a “Planned” or “Released” status, where Part No is like “-”, and any value in part description. I then sum the Sales Qty for the Part No that is grouped. Our issue is our Part Description is not unique so I really do not need to separate by part description, but if I do not group with it the field does not return values. As you can see for Part No 100-ST50 we have a description of Diamond 20# and a description of Diamond 20lb, I simply need the first description shown for a reference and need the subtotal for part no to include all entries so the subtotal for part no 100-ST50 should be 950. I do not know how to have SQL simply return the first distinct value for part description.

Print Preview - Purchase Order Change Order

A user wishes to print preview a purchase order change order, before the change order is authorised and the purchase order is updated. The reason for this is the person wishes to review what the updated PO would look like before they commit to authorising. However whilst on the ‘Purchase Order Change Order’ screen, there is no option to print preview. My initial thoughts are a custom RMB click to a purchase order quick report. However I would want this to reflect our current PO layout which is designs using report designer.

Doc Management Custom Field - how to view in the 'attachment' view on connected objects?

Hi All I’ve created a Custom Field in Document Management and ideally want it visible in the attachment view on the connected objects. Is this the view the ‘DOCUMENT_VIEW_ACCESS’? If yes how can a OBJKEY be made available as I can’t get this view approved. Or is this just not possible? If I expand to the ‘more’ option on the view the custom field is available.
