Dears, In a current setup, a Customer Order in site A will generate a Distribution Order to get the goods in site B. Always, Site A will always get these goods from site B.I would like that this process happens instantly, automatically, in a 1 on 1 relation. So each CO that is placed, must generate a DO to get this amount. Example: Customer places a order for 10 pcs at site A. a distribution order is created instantly to get these goods from site B.Seconds later, another customer places an order for 5 pcs at site A. Another DO is created, now to get 5 pcs. How can I set this up? I don’t want to wait on the scheduled MRP. I don’t think there is a planning method which takes each order individually?Thank you!

Crystal Reports - reads all records before applying filter

I am looking at a Crystal Report that prompts for parameters to filter the report results, however, it seems to read all the records of the table before applying the filter and then producing the report. It wouldn’t be a problem except it has almost 4 million records to read and makes the report take way too long. Any suggestions out there?Thanks~JV

Permissions Send Email Supp Invoice/Posting Proposal

Does anyone know which permissions need to be applied in order for the Email to be populated with data, please? User is able to invoke the email popping up when selecting “Send E-mail” but invoice no, supplier details etc are missing.Thanks

API calls versus rights & roles

User has restricted menus and functions to READ only. Example Request or ProductUsing API calls with the same user the same data can be modified. Migrating Transactional Data to IFS from a Legacy System

Hi, What is the approach to be followed when migrating transactional data to IFS from a Legacy System?When migrating these data should those posted in IFS to create GL vouchers that will ultimately calculate the GL Balances as at Cut-Over date.Or just migrate GL Balances separately and transactional data without posting to GLFor example, the customer need to have last 3 years(2018-2020) Invoices in IFS when Implementing IFS. Can we migrate invoices just in PaidPosted state without posting them? What will be impact to Analysis windows?

Need automated daily export of financial data

I had a request come my way and hoping for some guidance. We have a new Controller here and he is wanting to utilize a corporate account reconciliation process. This would involve exporting data daily from IFS in a certain format (see below). I’m sure this is doable, but don’t know best way to do so. First look seems like the External File functionality in Accounting might be a place to start. Wondering if anyone has set this type of transfer up before and if I am on the right track. Thanks in advance! We are on Apps8 sp1+ To integrate we’ll need a trial balance and ledger transaction file published to a FTP directory daily. Hello All, I have a report and on the last page it contains document ‘HEADER DOCUMENT TEXT’. The problem is that the data is truncated and doesn’t go over onto a new page in print preview? Anyone have any idea why please? Thanks, D.

VAT reporting in other currency than accounting currency

Hi, does anyone has experience in a similar requirement as described in the example hereafter :Belgian Company, country code = ‘BE’ created with a Belgian VAT number. Due to Brexit, this customer has to register for tax in United Kingdom. So, besides Belgian VAT number, there also will be an UK VAT number, active as from Jan 1st, 2021.Accounting is in EUR. Customer invoices sent to United Kingdom customers can be in EUR and GBP. VAT reporting for Belgium is in EUR, that is OK.VAT reporting for United Kingdom must be in GBP. Following questions are raised:Is it possible to have a tax reporting done in another currency than the accounting currency ? Does anyone have experience with that ? To allow the Belgian company to use the S089 tax template, is it smart to copy this tax template (i.e to S089_BE) ? Report Printing - Object reference not set to an instance of an object

When attempting to print certain reports our users are running into the attached error. Event Action not working

Let me start by saying I have plenty of email event actions that send out correctly, so I do not think this is any sort of MAIL_SENDER issue.I am trying to setup an event action to trigger from the (Notification_Events_Util_API.Start_Notify_Next_Auth) function. The background job posts and executes with no errors. But my email event action does not hit the application messages and notification queue. So, I get no email. Strange thing is, I have this working in one environment…..but getting this working in a new environment is giving me trouble.The Event is already setup, the Event Action is setup and enabled. I have a schedule tasks to run this event at a given interval….same as the working environment.What piece am I missing?Thanks for any help…~JV

Manual pegging of Purchase order wich is created by a Distribition order

Dears, I want to peg a costumer order with a purchase order. However, the purchase order is generated by a distribution order. Is this possible? The help function tells me that “Furthermore, only the purchase order lines that can be manually pegged are displayed, i.e., those with the demand code Inventory Order”In this case, the demand code of the purchase order is ‘Distribution order’. Does this mean that I cannot peg? Thank you!

Too many transactions are made when Customer (Kamstrup) use material bounded operations

Case:Kamstrup make operation report for every 3 pcs.(PCB’s) with 500 components on a shop order with lot size 3.000 = 3.000/3*500 =500.000 backflush transactions on one PCB order.PCB production line: On daily basis 3 lines runs with a speed of 140 pcs per hour = 140*3/3*500 = 70.000 per hour, 24 hours per day = 1.680.000 backflush transactionsFirst day we had 1.7 mill.When we run full scale (PCB/EL, Water and Heat/Cooling) approx. 25 lines will be up running. Three tables that involves:INVENTORY_TRANSACTION_HIST _TABMPCCOM_ACCOUNTING_TAB (here you will have the transactions times 4 due to nonstandard cost)INVENTORY_TRANSACTION_COST(here you will have the transactions times 2) Q1: First of all we need to find out if there are any other IFS customers running production with that many backflush transactions and if that’s a problem other than it takes out some space on the server and the processing of daily finance transactions will take hours. To increase FSM application performance can i increase the Maximum worker process of the application pool value to 2 instead of default value 1 in the IIS settings. Because am facing the maximum cpu utilization issue in the server always by the FSM worker process.

Scheduling Maintenance Plan Lines through the MPB

I have a customer, who configured PM Actions with ‘Performed Date Based’ option, and wants to schedule the Maintenance Plan lines through Maintenance Planning Board.The Maintenance Plan Lines are scheduled through the MPB and generate the Work Order for the first line and execute. When the Work Order is completed, the succeeding Maintenance Plan Lines in the PM Action will be regenerated and the lines revert to ‘Needs Rescheduling‘ status. With this, the customer not able to use the MPB for the PM Actions. Any Idea how other customers are doing scheduling with these type of data setups.

ABC Classes all parts set = C

Hello, we recently ran the task “Perform ABC, frequency and Lifecycle Classification” process in IFS using our cost = 1. After the process had completed, all our Inventory Parts ABC class is now = C. Our accounting group did recently copy a older cost set to cost set one. Could this be the cause? I guess it would be helpful as to understand why the system would ever assign class C to all parts. Thanks!
