Hello,there are differents ways to create routing alternate by copy :from copy part,copy alternate , copy routing head …we would like to keep in all cases the origine routing alternate that create the new one.Is ther a way to get this information?Thanks

IFS Print Service Errors

Hi AllWe are on IFS Apps 10 and have recently tried to add a new logical printer to IFS. This is our first time adding a new printer. Our Application and Print Servers are separate to spread the load with the print server hosting all print and reporting services.On our Print Server we have completed:Installed the Printer Drivers and created a Print QueueUpdated the config file (ifs-printagent-config.xml)Restarted the Print Service (IFSPAService_IFSL)Within the Application we have:Created the new logical printer with the same name/ case as the print queue on the print server and what is in the config file (e.g. TESTPRINTER1)Attempted to print a report.On the Print Jobs screen in IFS we get the following error:“The Print Job can not be printed. The selected printer is not mapped to any Print Agent.”When I check the Print Service logs on the Print Server it is full of errors similar to:“[059] 15/10/2020 12:26:59: Registering...[059] 15/10/2020 12:26:59: Failed to register![059] 15/10/2020

ATP to include planned Purchase Requisitions

Is a setting available that can include planned Purchase Requisitions as expected supply when calculating the ATP in in a customer Order Line? The MRP runs once a week and Purchase requisitions are not all followed up the first day. This results in customer order lines moved to a later date (when the availability check is set on the inventory part) as the purchase requisition dates are not considered.

Customer Order shipping query URGENT

Hi Members, I have a doubt here:A part has a stocking unit of measure of “EACH”. A case is made up of 12 each. Scene 1: Customer ABC orders 4 eaches, and the order is shipped for 4 eaches. Scene 2: Customer XYZ orders 1 case and the order is shipped for 1 full case. In this situation, the system should ship a complete case and not split it into eaches. Is this possible? How do the parts need to be setup? Is there additional setup need for parts like unit of measure etc.

Integration of IFS operations with a different finance system

Hi Everyone,I’d like to hear from someone who has implemented IFS for operations i.e. mainly manufacturing, supply chain, project etc., and use a system like SAP, Oracle or any other system for finance. I know majority of you may say ‘don’t do it!’ due to some obvious reasons but quite keen to hear from someone who is actually a user of this/similar setup.Cheers

Currency Rate entered incorrectly

The currency rate for a certain day was entered incorrectly. The rates for USD and EUR were reversed. I have several customer invoices that I need to correct. What is the best way to do this? I went into the customer invoice and entered the correct rate in currency rate correction. Then I tried to create a correction invoice, but nothing happened. The background job has a warning that says the Invoice ID does not exist in Company 14. I’m not sure why it isn’t working, because I’ve done this before.

Need Dates

Hi all, How can I update Need Dates for Shop Orders, in the event the Required Date for the independent demand against the top-level is changed?For instance, a product could be given a Required Date of next month. MRP then calculates backwards to determine the date at which each material in the bill must be available to salsify said date, using the component lead time (unprotected). I take it this is how Need Dates are calculated. But, if the business has a change in priorities, and we decide to amend our master schedule, I’d like to find a way to update the raised/released/started orders based on us having manually edited the Required Date.That way, when APB is executed over a group of orders, taking Need Date as a means to determine sequencing, it can reflect changes in our priorities at the top-level.Is there a report to provide this alignment? Any data requirements? As of now, we are not using pMRP or DOP. Just IFS Apps 10 (with APB for CBS Scheduling). thanks,Jay

Purchase part description

We want to work with “dummy” parts that can be used for multiple purchase orders and change the description each time on the purchase requisition. After we transferred the purchase requisition to a purchase order, the description changed back to the original one.Can someone tell me where I can find the setting for this?

correction Invoice Remove Button in Tax Lines

We use Correction invoice to credit back Sales Tax only.In IFS8, we use to ‘Remove’ these lines using ‘Remove button in ‘Tax Lines’ Right Mouse Button on line of PR Correction Invoice.In IFS10 ‘Remove’ button is not highlighted. Looks like IFS change few things in this area… any ideas on how to get this ‘Remove’ button back so we can remove these lines and return only tax,In following scenario, when remove button is not available, the tax amount and gross amount both becomes zero and it effects postings too. Thanks

Conditional Formatting Question

Hello,I am looking for a way to create conditional formatting for the available Qty column within Customer Order Lines. I am looking to have the cell highlight green if the value is greater than the Sales Qty (BUY_QTY_DUE). I am trying to put in the below formula, but it doesn’t look like conditional formatting has the ability to compare the value against a different column value. Is that accurate, or is there a way to accomplish this that I am missing? Thank you,Matt

Sending documents at certain times

Hi everybody!I have some documents to send to users and want to send them from IFS(via email). The problem is I want to schedule when I can send. For example: every month,every hour exc.. I looked over Document Distirubtion but the trigger is only when document release.I dont want to use backround jobs or event action because these are not depent on an event. I want to use as a reminder. Is there another way? I use IFS 9 Thank you

Using Report Rules to Multiplex Reports?

Has anyone ever use report rules to send output to multiple printers from one print job?(Is this even possible?)I’ve got a set of report rules to save Invoices as a PDF using IFS Connect but I also want to send a hard copy to specific printers depending upon certain data fields on the invoice.There is a logical printer, ARCHIVER, that the user selects and then I have two rules, executed in the following order:If Logical Printer is ARCHIVER and certain Site code - Print To Logical Printer HARD_COPY If Logical Printer is ARCHIVER then Route to ConnectI can see both rules firing in the Print Rule Log,Rule #1 sees an entry in the print agent log file but nothing is outputRule #2 sees a file created via IFS Connect. Any ideas?

In other words, if we go with IFS, do we still need to use local solutions to cover all the accounting & taxation requirements OR we can rely on IFS financial module and get rid of all the local financial software? VAT Reverse charge on certain products

A new VAT regulation will be implemented in Sweden in the beginning of 2021. The VAT regulation imply that VAT reverse charge will be applied when sale of certain parts/products decrease a value of 100 KSEK. If the value of the same part/product is below 100 KSEK the ordinary VAT rules will be applied. The VAT regulation will impact both sales and purchases.Does anyone have a setup in IFS to handle multiple VAT-codes in the same supplier invoice and is applying automatching against purchase order (Note: not on part line)? Does anyone have a setup for customer invoicing where the VAT-code used is dependent on the value of the invoiced parts/products? Also, if multiple VAT-codes can be used in the same customer invoice applying the above rule?Thanks.

Minimum Service Charge

How would you suggest going about setting up a service contract line to have a minimum service charge? For example, for a particular work type, the customer will be billed a minimum 4 hr labor charge and anything over that would be at a set hourly rate.
