HiIn apps 10 update 8, we want to start using Cost Per Condition for some of our parts as we e.g want to valuate refurbished part to 65% of a new part. Are there a way to do this automatically such that a certain condition “REFURBISHED” is always set relative to the standard cost? Also, preferrably the Level Cost Details are also set relative the the cost buckets of the standard cost. BR Kristian

Application Server Task File Name

In APP10 I have created an Application Server Task and a Scheduled job to run a Quick Report. Is there a way to put a file name with a directory path so the file will be created there? Thank you

Multiple projects for one contract

Is there a way to have several projects in IFS but link them to one common contract number? Because of revenue recognition we’d like to use multiple projects because the profit margins are different for certain tasks. But when we create reports we want to see the results of all the projects.

Accounting Currency vs. O&G Site Move - conflict with use of accounting currency

I represent a company where we need single, unified Accounting Currency (USD) in all the IFS10 companies and then using the Parallel Currency for the local currency reporting. As Oil & Gas client we also need to be able to do O&G “Site Moves” which requires an equal accounting currency in all the companies. However, when trying to use a Global Extension (GET) for Brazil as example, IFS will only allow BRL as Accounting Currency. So problem is that from a GET perspective IFS will only allow BRL in Brazil as Accounting Currency, but in order to use “Site Move” across IFS10 companies it requires same Accounting Currency. As It does not make sense to have BRL as Accounting Currency outside Brazil we cannot use Brazilian GET solution as “Site Move” is business-critical and GET is not. So only option appears to be sponsoring a customisation which caters for GET associated features such as VAT reporting. Any ideas in the community to resolve this without customization?

IFS Apps 9 crashed without reason

Hi,10 or 20 users keep reporting that IFS can crash during the day. It will not happen everyday but 3 or 4 times a week. We can't find any logical reason why IFS keeps crashing. In the Windows Event viewer we find a error but I don't know the solution. Hi all,We often have a scenario like this:We have a shop order for 10 pcs.For that we cut out 1 sheet and purchase a treatment at a subcontractor.We receive the sheet back a cut it out in 10 pcs.Routing:Cut 1 sheet Outside operation 1 sheet Cut 10 pcs The problem is that we cannot ship 1 sheet and make 10 pcs from that. At the moment, we create a extra inventory part for the outside operation, but it is not working well for us.Is there a clever way to handle this?

How to cancel an old Transport task

We have 1 old transport which remaining for months. It it kinda stuck, we could not neither could not execute nor delete the line. This error always appears when we’ve tried to do so eventhough we counted the quatity at the ‘FROM LOCATION’ to be bigger than the transport task’s quantity. Is there anyone know how to solve it.

Hi All ,What would be for you all if there's a capability of defining different running number series for WOs as per below … It could be referring to the site / Maint Org or as a combination of above two or any other method to define different series for Work order Numbers .In my thought having this enabled it would add some flavor to work order processing in real grounds..not sure if RnD has any other plans on handling this , like to hear what you all think on this Cheers Isuru

Logging/Viewing User Activity

Hi AllWe are running IFSv9 Upd16 on Oracle 12c.Is there a way to see user activity? We would like to know what our users are doing and how often etc.. This will give us a clearer picture of who and when users are on the system and which transactions individuals are involved with most often.I suspect there isnt an out of the box solution to this, as I am sure I would have tripped over it already.Perhaps there is a backdoor to such information?Any guidance is appreciated.ThanksMike

Supplier Payment in Advance

Is there a way to make a Supplier Payment in Advance of the goods being received and which can subsequently be matched to the invoice when the goods are receipted? There are very limited instances where this is required to be done, nevertheless it would be useful to know if there is a way it can be done in IFS to mitigate the manual monitoring required to confirm the goods have been received after payment. Freezing forecast in Demand Client for Metrics?

Is it possible to freeze a given forecast within a specific window out of the box while allowing a horizon in the future adjust whenever ‘create forecast’ is run? Does the lead time factor into this within the client or is it just another data point? I’m aware that i could go item by item, toggle the padlock and then move forecasts per period one by one, but it’d be great if they could be locked and the standard ctrl, shift, drag functionality would work. I’d like to use the metrics within IFS so i can compare a lag-1 or a lag-3 forecast’s accuracy/bias/adjustment factor/etc.

Crystal Report Error

Hi,Currently got an error on a couple of Crystal reports, these reports have worked in the past, we have recently upgraded to Apps9 Upd 17 and I’m not sure if this report has been tested since the update ( but other Crystal reports are working so the Crystal runtime has been installed correctly ) the report hasn’t been amended recently so nothing has changed...The error in the error log is:[IFSCRWebSetupIFS9L]-ERROR in [ExportReportWithParametersAndlogonInfo] Error in exporting the report in rpt format.12/4/2020 8:51:34 AM[IFSCRWebSetupIFS9L]-Value cannot be null. The report runs without any issues in Crystal, just IFS is the issue.Regards,Mick.

We have a single occurrence where a transfer to a Customer order, of the Work order (with 6 posting lines) has created 6 separate Customer orders. We have never had this occur previously. We are high used of Work orders, with multiple Posting linesAll lines have been posted on the same day,Any heads up would be useful Thank you in advnace/ash

Is there anyone to having experience to set up packing instructions for customer order? I try to read help’s but I couldn’t proceed with it. I found the place to set up default packing instruction for customer order and place where crate the packing instruction, but then system require capacity requirement group ID. Where that can be defined and created?

Aurena Document Attachments Page Configuration

Dear all,we are using Aurena as approval dashboard, to approve invoices, expenses and POs. The dashboard is being used by people who are not ordinary IFS users, so some screen parts might be confusing for them if too many details and/or options provided on the page.One of the sections which has some space for improvement/simplification is document attachment section, on the following screenshot. We would like to hide/rename some buttons there, but we have not found any possibility to do it via page designer.Is anybody aware how to reach page configuration for document attachments?Is there any possibility to switch the appearance of file attachments in Aurena in a similar way as in EE on the screenshot below?

Mass Update button

On the Tech Portal, I am using the ‘Mass Update’ button on the Task list screen to update tasks in bulk. The issue I have is not being able to ‘save’ the changes to this list. I have tried saving changes via the client script attached to the button, and also via a ‘Save’ button on that screen, nothing works. Anyone know why? or have an example of how to use the ‘Mass Update’ button feature?Just to confirm, this is on the Task List (Search results) screen in the Tech Portal, not the Task detail screen which shows the details of the one selected task.
