Hi, We are upgarding APPS10-UPD3 to UPD7. When we are deploying it from Installer it is working fine without any issue and and no invalid objects. Its successful. But when we are deploying it manually using install.tem, there are issue and the upgrade is failing. Is there any more scripts we need to execute before the install.tem? If yes what are those and please share the sequence also to execute it. Thanks & Regards Shitanshu Sharan

Hide Customers from List of Values

Is there a way to archive or close customers so that they do not appear on any list of values search? We are looking to use the Service Quotation functionality and when opening the list of values we a customer list of 1600. A number of these customers will no longer be active but I cannot see how to set a customer to expired or closed, so that they no longer appear on lists of values.

How to resolve error "install_fndmws.xml:546 and 590: Java returned: 1: Failed to install Middelware Server!"

Purchase Order Print Out - manufacturer No

Does anyone know why this extra line called “Manufacturer No” would print on your embedded purchase order print out ? It just started happening for us for all Sites PO’s (all lines regardless if part or no part line) Thank you

Std Report migration from IFS v8 to v10

hi, We are upgrading to V10, current standard reports in 8 needed to be imported to 10. Some suggested the version change is not an issue just needed to update the layout in 10. We have minor customisation on these reports and don't have developer license so cant do any changes to run in version 10. Will the reports work as it is in v10 if no customisation done in v8 reports with customisation what are the chances report may work in 10 thank you

Quick Report: How to Display the PromptWindow w/o any Parms

We have a quick report with no parameters, but we want the Parameters window to pop up to show Comments in which we’ve documented each column on the report. Can this be done? How do you document your quick reports for users since there’s not other place to put user info?

Excel Migration of Business Leads - Note issue

'Issuing could not be done because no inventory locations exist to drive negative without reservations for part' - SFWB Error message

We have an error message that we are struggling to get past when creating shop orders via SFWB: 'Issuing could not be done because no inventory locations exist to drive negative without reservations for M-FACTOR’. I have checked through the setup, nothing has changed - settings allow negative qty: Setup is exactly the same in our DEV environment and all working fine there. Any thoughts?

Custom block PL/SQL and only popup window information.

Hello. When i am writing in custom block PL/SQL : Error_SYS.Record_General(‘This program was executed ’,’Some text’) ; then application show popup window whith this two texts, but block "pl/sql" is return/exit and not execute. How show in application only popup window whith this information, but don't stoping the block pl/sql ?

Can anyone please tell me how i can do some admin level changes in Web client portal.i want to do some customization that should affect on the web client. Do I need to do some code level .dll customization for that as there is limited option to do the changes from the smart client back end which reflects on the Web client.

Aurena Shop Floor Workbench Shop Orders

I’m working in the Apps10 demo environment (both IEE and Aurena). I have set up Shop Floor Employees, assigned them to companies/sites and created Shop Orders for them to work on. I can see the Shop Orders in the workbench in IEE, but cannot see them in Aurena. I’ve attempted creating Filters and selecting ‘Filter By’ > Shop Order to select the SO individually, but that has not been successful either. Has anyone else seen this issue and can help explain the error in my setup? IEE vs. AurenaThanks!

Creating journals issue

Bad Debt cash written off pre implementation of our IFS has been received by the administrators and allocated to the customer account, this now needs to be journal to the bad debt account in the P&L. We are not aware of the process for doing this? Is there a way to washout open AR to a specified account? Thanks

Handling standing order transactions within IFS

Does anyone have any tips on how they handle standing orders (Fixed monthly payments leaving the bank) within IFS. We have quite a few, and currently are uploading the bank statement, then creating single mixed payments for each item. Its a long winded process. Is there a way I could pre-load these items? Am thinking external file load into the mixed payments screen but not entirely sure how to achieve. Thanks

Assign employee in Shop Floor Workbench

I'm trying to test this feature under Shop Floor Workbench but it is always greyed out. I've tried looking at Help and it implies you would RMB-Assign... but there must be some pre-requisites that aren't defined in the F1 Help. The AppOwner never sees this option so I don't think it is a security issue. There seems to be some link to Competency - which we do not have setup - but it doesn't say this is required to use it. Go to Shop Floor Workbench, Enter As an employee with SFW access, RMB on any operation but Assign Employee/Team to Operation is grey..

Aurena - Customer Relationship Management Setup

Hi Everyone, We just got update 7 installed last week and I’m looking into the CRM. Does anyone know of any work instructions or flow charts on the setup? Trying to figure out where to start with the Business Representatives, roles, groups, etc. We are going to have higher level VP’s wanting to see all of their sales people on the dashboards and be able to drill into their teams. The regular help section is geared towards EE and not Aurena and there is nothing in the technical documents section. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Mike

We have some users that rarely need to log into IFS only to approve. Is there an event I can enable to send stream notifications out by email? Thanks Bruce

FSM-Reports

When i am trying to print a custom SSRS report from FSM Reports screen it is redirecting me to the Web browser where it is not printing. I want to print that report within FSM report window.Some application parameter i need to check for this in APP PARAMS, Can somebody please tell how i can fix this. Remember i can print baseline reports within my FSM Reporting window.

certificate of conformance management

does ifs provide management of certificates of conformance ? when we send goods, a delivery note comes with the shipment. for each part and batch, a certificate of conformance should also come along the shipment. for instance, we would like to have one delivery note and as many CC as there are parts and batchs in the shipment.

IFS8 - Sharing product from one project to many, but not back

Seems like this should be easy, but we are having difficulty sharing product from one activity sequence or project to many other activity sequences or projects. We don’t want the inventory from those other projects to be shared at all. We’ve messed around with a few settings in PMRP and can’t seem to get it right. Has anyone else had to do this? Like I said it seems ‘simple’. Many thanks!

Purchase Order Printing (Operational Report)

I have created a Crystal Report version of the PURCHASE_ORDER_PRINT_REP Operational Report for Purchase Orders. However, on the Purchase Order line there is a field PROMISED_DELIVERY_DATE. We wish to print this field but it isn’t available in PURCHASE_ORDER_PRINT_REP. Is there a way of adding this field to the report? I initially tried creating a link to PURCHASE_ORDER_LINE_PART but this invalidates the report and it fails. I know you cannot add custom fields to the PURCHASE_ORDER_PRINT_REP. Can you advise how I can achieve adding other field(s). Can I create a IAL and link this to the PURCHASE_ORDER_PRINT_REP?
