Fetch source data from 3rd party product

A customer of has asked whether we can enhance some information displayed in the shop order work-guidelines by including information from a source reference manual.Currently not all operations are contained within a shop order routing or the work-guidelines, however technicians can access these via a Customer RMB into the 3rd party tool as the manuals are not stored in IFS but rather a central repository. The question is therefore is it possible via either Data Migration or IFS connect to fetch source data from an external system and then to insert it directly into the relevant container in IFS Apps10. The reference needed to be passed between IFS and the source is currently contained on the SO Order Operation as a column. It is understood that the source is not currently available as xml but rather as structured PDF!.

Error "sub part is of serial type and parent part is not of serial type"

When trying to add a component in the structure of an Engineering Part Revision I get the error “sub part is of serial type and parent part is not of serial type!”. I don’t get that error when adding that same component into that same product structure of Inventory Parts :-(Is there any way to deactivate that check and avoid this error when I alter my Engineering Part Revision ?

Price List Discount and Customer Order Line Amount Discrepancy.

We are seeing some issue how IFS price list discount works and It is very hard to explain customer and normal users that same discount % can charge you more for each unit if you order quantity changes. We are wondering if other IFS customer also faced such issue and how they are dealing with it. ( though it is few cents to dollar per order but math doesn’t match.Please see my scenario:Price List Line with a sales Price of $55.01/ea and discount of 55%. ( Net Sales Price $22.50 /ea)- Screen shot below: Now from Customer/user perspective :Order Qty and Total should be following:Order Qty Line Total IFS Calculated Line Total (Discounted Price Per Unit X Qty)1 22.50 22.5010 225.00 225.04 (Added Extra 4 Cents)100 2250.00

App 9 - Web Lobby data and image problems.

We are using app 9 and we made lobbies. There is not any problem with data or images from the desktop. But in the web lobby, some of the data of elements are not seen. On the mobile side, Android phones show images but, iPhones are not. Also, mobile devices not shown some of the data of some elements. Has anyone faced this?

[Aurena] Add Custom Page to navigator

Hello, According to the IFS Apps10 UPD6 documentation, the custom pages are in the menu My administration/Custom pages. (Aurena UPD6).But that doesn't work. Am I forgetting something? Here is my projection. With the associated custom page. I give access to the projection but no page is associated. And it does not appear in My administration. Thanks in advance.

IFS 10 supported languages

Hi Our customer want to use its regional language. So I want to ask is there any official list of supported languages by default? I follow through IFS archive location and there is no croationa, bulgarian, etc languages. Best Regards

Email PO sends from wrong sender

Hi IFS ExpertsI tried RMB from the PO header > Email Order. The supplier gets the email, but he got it from the account of one of my colleague’s emails - not mine. :( So I checked the below setup in IFS. ‘Supplier Contact’ in IFS has the right email address (anyway he got the email - no issues there) PDF_REPORT_CREATED event is enabled The event action has the following setup Setup IFS Connectivity has the following. Can someone explain to me why does the email is sent from another email address than mine?CheersEnzo

FSM 6 - Download multiple attachments efficiently

Hi all, I am wondering if anyone has worked out, or has knowledge of, a solution for a Smart or Web client (named) user to download multiple attachments with 1 click. Our challenge is that a technician may upload upwards of 30 photos through the FSM Mobile App. In many cases our Request Owners or Project Managers end up downloading these photos, for delivery to clients, close notes, or other reasons.. and are spending too much time clicking each attachment. Is there a function that allows us to download all task-attachments or all request-attachments at once? I have noticed there is a perform_get_attachment and a plural, perform_get_attachments, MPM. Which gives me hope that there is. Thank you in advanceRudy

Regarding CAD Intergration

Hi, Currently , my Customer want to import CAD file(Dassult ENOVIA) into IFS.It means, IFS read the CAD file, recegozie the EBOM , import into IFS as product-stucture. Purchase Requisition Authorization Rule with "Include Steps Based on Limits"

Hi, I hope someone can help me with the below expectation.Basic DataUser 1 has Max Authorization Limit for PR of £5000 PR Rule is set up for a Cost Code 1234 PR Rule has the Authorization Routing Option set to “Include Steps Based on Limits” Authorization Template has 3 steps: Step 1 - Group (all users have limit up to £5000; User 1 is part of this group too) Step 2 - 10’000 Step 3 - 999999 Transaction: the User 1 creates a Purchase Requisition with Pre Posting cost Code 1234 that’s less than £5000. Once released system currently pulls through the 1st step of the Authorization Rule.Expectation: There is no PR rule pulled through because the User 1 has enough Authorization Limit. Can anyone tell if the expectation should be different based on the set up and if so how to set up the data so that the User with Limit of £5000 doesn’t have to authorize the step 1?

hide a column in a table window

Hi experts,with EE, I know it is common question but still don’t know how can I hide a column in a window table for some users .If I hide it with column chooser, They will be able to bring it back! unless I revoke column chooser and this will impact all screens ... what are my options ? is custom event can be a solution …can I duplicate the window and hide it inside the new one ? how exactly can this be done …Much appreciate your help

Multi-Company Project Reporting Invoicing

Hi all,(Using IFS10, UPD7 - on the verge of updating to UPD9) We use the Multi-Company Project reporting mainly for (Project) Time Registrations. Invoicing between companies is done manually through Instant Invoices (So far, preferred by the end-users) Now we are looking into using Project Invoicing to send the Invoices across. Creating the Invoice is all working fine. But the create Supplier Invoice is not auto-matched against the transactions.Posting Control PRJT11 is setup, but not automatically kicking in.We are using Message Class INVOICE and Media Code E-INVOICE to send the invoices. Anyone else using Project Invoicing to send such Invoices who can tell where to look?

Best practice on streaming documents in and out of IFS Applications using projections

Hey all, is there any known best practice in how one should check in / out documents via projections in regards of integrations and automation?E.g. scenario might be:1. Read file using Power Automate or Logic Apps2. Run some logic against IFS e.g. verify that a work order exist or similar.3. Create new document or new revision (with a potential view copy).4. Stream the document into IFS Applications (NOT using the AccessProvider but via projections or similar e.g. Aurena agent).5. Run some additional logic.Preferably with rollback if possible e.g. if step 5 fails, we need to rollback the entire thing.Any help, input, examples would be much appreciated.
