Hi, Out of the blue I started receiving the error message “The forecast date cannot be less than demand time fence.” when trying to Run MS - One Part. My example, the Demand time Fence is 10 days, so the Demand Time Fence date is 7/16/2021. I’ve re-reviewed many times with other eyeballs on it as well and I have no forecast dates that are inside of 7/16/2021. Any thoughts?

CRM Outlook Panel Security

We are on Apps10 Upd10 and are having an issue with user security in regards to restricting access from creating a prospect or a customer through the CRM Outlook Panel. The Create Customer under RMPanelHandling is unchecked as shown below on the permission set assigned to the user but it does not prevent the user from generating a record as a customer or prospect from the panel. Is the not working correctly or is additional security required?

Fixed Asset - Change Object Value - Residual Value In Parallel Currency

I am attempting to adjust the net value of an asset using the Change Net Value function in IFS9 (update 16). When reducing the value to zero in the base currency, the new net value in the parallel currency becomes negative. As a result the following error is preventing me from creating the transaction.Residual value in parallel currency of object xxxx for the event date xxxxx cannot be smaller than zero The value in the parallel currency appears to be set based on the spot rate, whereas the net value in parallel currency is a blended rate from the various investments/depreciations. Parallel currency for the company is Accounting CurrencyAny ideas on how to work around this?Thanks

How to Reject the parts from the Receiving list

I have requested 5parts from the inventory. Now it would be received by me. But of the 5 parts I need only 3 and rest 2 I need to reject due to certain reason. For the serialized parts I checked on the 3parts and rest 2 I didn't checked on the Receiving Unit list. Then confirmed it. But I can see all are received.How can we reject the same. Can anyone help on this?

Unformatted date-time stamps and Completion codes truncated in iOS

Hi FSM Experts,One of our customers are getting the below error where unformatted date-time stamps and completion codes are truncated in the iOS app. This makes the completion code unreadable. Access/Read oData APIs with Power BI

Hi, I’d like to read and access data in IFS via the oData REST API endpoints using Power BI.We are using Windows Authentication, however whenever trying to authenticate to the API endpoint in the PowerBI oData Setup Wizard, it fails to connect using Basic auth (using Oracle User details/credentials, including IFSAPP), and is unable to using Organisation authentication (i.e. O365/Azure Single Sign On).Is there any special additional config required to allow PowerBI to query IFS data via oData?

Maintenance Priority List of Values hidden

Hi,I am unable to find where are the permissions to enable list of values for Maintenance Priority on Active Work Orders screen.All MAINTENANCE_PRIORITY, MAINTENANCE_PRIORITY_API, ACTIVE_WORK_ORDER_API.Get_Priority_Id and dlgDynamicLov have been enabled to the user but the List of values option is still hidden. We have recently upgraded from Apps 8 to Apps 10 and we did not have this issue on Apps 8.

Supplier forecasts- Automatic Email every month

Our suppliers (or some of them) needs to have a forecast monthly. Right now we have a quick report with all purchase requisitions as the forecast, which we manually send to them. We wanted to use the supplier portal, but the cost is ridiculus for the licenses. So we cannot use that right now. How do you send forcasts automatically in IFS? Is there any built in function?

Non consumption of inventory part

Hi,I have 2 questions for you.1, I want to transfer an purchased inventory part from Warehouse location to a Production location but in doing so once the inventory part arrives into the production location the inventory qty and value is zero i.e. consumed at the point of transfer? 2, Following the above question the next stage would be to make an inventory part and book into stock (receive). Is there a method / set upof being able to book a newly formed inventory part into stock without any consumption of materials?

Lot/batch report

HiIn a scenario where we are purchasing lot/batch controlled parts for our manufacturing processes we want to have a high-level report per lot/batch.The report needs to provide an overview of a given lot/batch or several lot/batches for customs authorities. In essence the report must tell what quantity of the lot/batch do we havein inventory in inventory as a component in a manufactured part (at any level of the structure of the manufactured part in inventory) in WIP (that is when 1. the lot/batch itself or 2. a part containing the lot/batch as a component is issued to a Shop Order where the product is not yet finished) Issued to customer through Customer Order or ProjectI’m aware of the lot-batch master but finds that this provides a way to find the non-aggregated details.Hope someone can help.BR Kristian

Attachments in an FSM cloud installation

Hi experts,I’m trying to understand how the attachments are stored in an FSM cloud installation. There are two parts to my question.1. This is a trivial one. Where is an attachment stored?Upon reading the documentation, I understand that it’s either stored in the database or the network file storage. In the environment I’m working with (an FSM cloud installation) I see the following setup, When I make a query for the attachments So, are the above documents (ex: 34,35,36) stored in the database itself or in a network storage? 2. How do I get access to the network storage location?Just to give some context, I’m reading the following bit from the Odata documentation, I’m not sure how to obtain this fsmshare location. Is it a default location that’s available with an FSM cloud installation, or is this something that needs to be setup?Thanks in advance!

Kanban Circuit - ERROR MESSAGE

Hi tried to create a Kanban circuit but I was unable to save the circuit due to a an error message.We set the supply to location to a out bound location, Floor stock group within a work centre and replenish from location within stores which a picking group. DocMan - diacritic file name - ERROR - "Invalid file name"

Hello,yesterday after power outage(restart all servers) we are not able to attach document to any IFS object (CustomerOrder, PurchaseOrder) that has diacritic in filename (NabídkaMŠ.pdf). We are not able even open(see) the documents, that have been already saved in IFS before (for example 3 weeks ago) and have diacritic filenames. The documents without diacritic we can attach and see in IFS.Very strange behaviour.Any help please?Jan West

CRM Panel - Blocked Contacts

Hello,We were working through using CRM Panel and identified that when a contact is in the database multiple times, you can see that person tied to multiple customers (we have not tested what happens if contact is in as person twice). Since you cannot delete contacts once they have content on them, we use the block contact as a way to remove them from selection in IFS. Is there a way to mitigate this issue in CRM Panel? I know how to copy quotation lines to use in another sales quote. My question is how can we ‘hold onto’ the Description? When I save I lose that information and need to recreate the wheel so to speak. Don’t know much about computers so please answer in the least techy way possible. :)

Changing directory for temporary files during generating big report

Customer has version 10. In previous versions, adding in reconfiguration in custom arguments e.g. -Djava.io.tmpdir=F:\temp -Dfndext.reportDebugDir=F:\temp was causing that files *.fo was generated there instead in C:\Windows\Temp.Now I added in Main Cluster\Managed Servers\Startup Parameters. It didn’t work. How to change this directory in version 10?

Order gap time - U.O.M?

Hi does anyone know what the unit of measure used for ‘Order Gap Time’?I have set the order gap time to 1 (assuming 1 day) on a top level inventory part to prevent MRP scheduling multiple units to be assembled at the same time on the same day. my aim is to get MRP to schedule the assembly of 1 unit per day to level the manufacturing schedule. regardsJamie
