Loading Customer Owned Inventory to new system

We are in the process of implementing IFS10 having previously used IFS2003. Our inventory is customer owned. We want to use data migration to load our WIP (inventory parts in stock) into IFS10 but have come across the restriction that customer owned inventory cannot be received via NREC. So we’re looking at using Purchase Orders but with many tens of thousands of individual serial numbers this seems a big overhead. Is there a recommended way of bulk receiving customer owned inventory?

Color codes for calendar exceptions

In general it is possible to define different color codes for different person calendar exception types. My question is: is it possible to differentiate as well between calendar exceptions, which are marked as fixed (fixed_commitment) and which are not indicated "fixed"? As this would be a combination of two criteria (exception type + checkbox "fixed"), the second question is, if such a combination can be represented via color codes. e.g. 1.) Exception type "vacation" has color code blue 2.) Exception type "sick" has color code red 3.) Exception type "vacation" incl. checkbox "fixed" has color code yellow 4.) Approval process of setting a forecast as an active budget

When we make the forecast status as active budget we can use an approval template to authorize the budget as an active budget. But this can be removed by users.Is there a better way to handle this as in Purchase Requisition authorization where authorization is enabled via a rule.

IFS Sales Contracts locked for editing

Hello,Due to the nature of contracts and human mistakes, sometimes it will be extremely useful to be able to change the Status of a Sales Contract from LOST to something else. Also, sometimes the customer in a contract will change and if the contracts has move to an status Awarded we cannot change the customer. In general, we have found that the IFS Sales contract are fairly rigid once you reached certain status in their workflow. I will appreciate your comments regarding any potential workarounds changing the status of a sales contract from LOST and also changing the customer after the contract has been awarded.Many thanks and kind regardsMig

Source Data Migration silent errors

I’ve got my source migration job working, but I’m trying to log errors that just show up as unprocessed records. In this case it’s a bad Operation No/ID and you can see in the debugger it can’t find the Objid/Objversion for the routing operation I’m trying to update. Is there a way to flag these rows so the end users can go back and resolve the issue with the source data? Thanks, Lane

I am trying to see a Non Conformance Report attached to a customer order from the B2B portal. I see it attached to the CO in IEE or Aurena, but not in the B2B. Is there any particular classification of the NCR may I need to do?

Customer Offset query

On Apps 8 has anyone experienced a sporadic problem when deleting Customer Offsets on the Financials> Accounts Receivable> Manual Payment> Customer Offset screen ? From time to time we get the message ‘The field [Cash Amount] must have a value’ 95% of the time it’s fine ! Any ideas would be gratefully received :-)

Display issue in „my absence calender“

We are currently experiencing an issue with how the absence calendar is displayed. The way Windows 10's scaling works at 100% and above causes the absence calendar to be cut off on smaller displays even at 100% scaling. Do you experience the same issue? Custom Menu with Transfer using Persistent Reference fields on Custom LUs

Hopefully not me having a Monday moment... I have 3 Custom LUs: LU1 KEY: MODEL_NO, REV_NO (Persistent Number Fields) LU2 KEY: MODEL_REF (Persistent Reference Field, ultimately the OBJKEY from LU1) LU3 KEY: MODEL_REF (Persistent Reference Field, ultimately the OBJKEY from LU1) I want to navigate from LU3 → LU2 via the KEY (MODEL_REF). At VIEW level there are 2 columns MODEL_REF and MODEL_REF_DB. I have used ERROR_SYS.Record_General to peek at the values behind each key; the results are interesting: MODEL_REF (2019-12-02_16-16-43.jpg) - This value matches the one shown in debug console when loading the screen MODEL_REF_DB (2019-12-02_16-21-14.jpg) - “Invalid Type definition” error... Can someone make this work?

Sorting on Search Screens

Can we enable sorting in the search screen for a coumn which is not part of the primary table,We see taht right now we are only allowed to sort columns which are part of the primary table for the screen and not on the columns which are related to the primary table.

Errors propagating from FSM to mobile

Is there a new functionality in FSM 6.1 where tasks updates in FSM which thow an error are propagated to the Mobile aplication ,We didn’t see this when we were using FSM 5.6 and is there any way to stop this in 6.1?

Project Deliverable Alternative Parts

I have been approached by an existing customer, who has a specific problem that they need to address and are struggling to find a direct solution. They currently use Project Delivery to delivery different configured items to their customers. However the delivered product can comprise various combinations of parts and revisions within the product structure along with different alternatives for the structure. They have attempted to use Phase in Date (Using a Custom RMB) to align the dates for the different alternatives (which represent the different Engineering Part Revisions, however the revision increment upwards i.e. 1 to 2 to 3, but in many instances there revisions are 2 way alternatives) for the structures, however the issue that they experience is how to determine which Inventory part meets the requirement to 'build' the required product as they cannot determine the 'Revision' of the Inventory part needed to build the product at time of reserving or issuing to the shop-order. Serailaized Part in Inventory

I am wondering if anyone has run into this or has some insight on how to resolve an issue we have. We are in environment IFS 9. We have a serialized part that has a configuration attached to it. At some point we duplicated the serial in the live system. (Same serial number two different config numbers attached) due to the part numbers being connected one was the superior of the other someone decided to scrap the incorrect part out of the system. This made the serial number still in inventory unusable we do not have the part physically so we need to get this off the books and out of inventory. The part has a current position of Unlocated and operational status of Scrapped, and operation condition non operational when looking in the part serial screen. Any one have suggestions on how to remove from inventory? I have already tried to scrap, count out and issue out the part.

Initially A part was included in work scope as a piece part and not as a module . Later, work scope was changed to include it a s a module. System is not able to remove DSO for A part even though we have not touched it .

Correction Invoice document - Corrected lines only

A printed correction invoice document shows all invoice lines before and after the change. Issue: We have invoices with sometimes more then 50 lines. When 1 line is changed, for example for the price, 50 ‘before correction’ lines are printed an 50 ‘after correction’ lines. Our users and customers complain that it is very hard to find the 1 line, which is corrected. Work around available now Use e correction reason code on the line and print the description on the Correction Invoice document. This helps a bit in the quest to find the corrected linePreferred solution: Only print the lines, which are actually changed. So from the example: Only print the original line and the Corrected line are printed Any ideas how we can achieve this ?

BA Execution Server - Schedule and Run on demand

In BA System Parameters there are only three options for the BA_EXECUTION_SERVER_AVAILABLE: NO/FOR_ALL_INFO_SERVICES_REPORTS/ONLY_FOR_SCHEDULED_REPORTS However this doesn’t really suit our needs as we want to run some through BAES and others direct. For example Report A: Lets say Finance have a report they wish to run on demand (no schedule) and this should open up in their Excel using the BA Addin. Report B: Now we have a wide range of “Cost Centre” reports which breaks down all of the invoices to various managers and they should be able to run these reports on demand also (no schedule) - we don’t want to have to install the BA addin to everyone's machines so want the BAES to handle this functionality and store the report back in the report archive as a standard Excel file. Can anyone think of a way around this? I first thought about creating schedules for the “Cost Centre” reports and giving the users the ability “Run” the report from the schedule reports screen - which I have te

Cost Estimation Software Integration with IFS

COST ESTIMATION INTEGRATION I am busy with an implementation for a construction solution and I am looking to find out some more information around a cost estimation software integration with IFS as this is a requirement from the customer.Has this kind of integration been successfully developed in another implementation? Cash Account Validation error in payment order.

We have Created a payment method connected to payment format BGF and defined cash account 70438632. Then we have connected the payment method to supplier. While trying to pay for the supplier through supplier payment proposal > payment order below error is received: Cash Account Validation error when '70438632' is used as the account number in creating supplier payment. Kindly advise how to resolve this?

Sale prices & costs to more than 2 dp for very small values

We have an increasing number of products that have a very small value (< £0.01) A good example might be a transaction against a mapping interface. Whilst these might be bought in quantities of thousands, we still need to represent the unit costs as they are generally billed on a consumption basis for odd quantities (e.g. 12,345). We would need to be able to specify both cost and sale prices in this way.I have been looking at whether this is feasible in Apps 9. I have done a bit of testing and have something that looks as though it should work following a bit of configuration - it appears that you must set the clients currency format in the regional setting of the profile. Other than that I’m not sure what if anything needs to be done. I’m a little concerned that the Currency Codes screen specifies the number of decimals in the amount but only allows 0 or 2. These values appear to be used in some calculations but I’m not sure where. Does anyone have any experience of this? Are
