ASCII characters to data matrix code in report designer

Hi,Need to create data matrix code to layout. The code should contain several values structured to data fields with separators ASCII 30 for record separator, ASICI 29 for group separator and ASCII 4 for end of transmission.Created custom field in IFS 10 where required fields are concatinated.If using the ascii separators directly in the custom field Report designer will not be able to read it.Tried using other ‘acceptable’ characters in my custom field but is there a way in report designer to replace those with the required ASCII characters?

XML to JSON, XSLT transformer issue

I could convert xml data set to json format using attached xslt transformer, I tested trasformer using online tools and it’s working fine for online tools.But when I am using that transformer from the IFS for the same data set( same format ), the application msg is giving below error. In my xslt I use “xml-to-json” to print the data What should I do for this issue?

Make Report Designer PDF/A compliant?

Hi,(Using IFS9)In Solution Manager under System Parameters there is an option to make Report Designer PDF/A compliant. If we select yes, print a report and open it in Adobe Reader it will say “This file claims compliance with the PDF/A standard and has been opened in read-only to prevent modification”. All well so far. But if we run the file through a PDF validator it says something along these lines:Validating file "TEST.pdf" for conformance level pdfa-1bThe property 'pdf:keywords' is not defined in schema 'Adobe PDF Schema'.The document does not conform to the requested standard.The document's meta data is either missing or inconsistent or corrupt.The document does not conform to the PDF/A-1b standard.Done. The validator succesfully validates other PDF-files from other souces, but so far no file from IFS. Have any of you tried out this option, and does it work well for you?Perhaps there is some additional configuration to be done which we’ve missed. BRGeorge

Number Counter

Hi Everyone, We have set up a number counter in the Document Basic screen.When adding order lines it is generating a unique number in sequence however as soon as you save the line or refresh the order (in a planned status) the numbers all change? Any ideas? Thanks

Error when scheduling Application Server Task for quick report

Hi, I scheduled a Application Server Task for weekly sending quick report. For some reason, I got it worked just one time (I received the email) and all failed after. The error stated that I have no privilege to export reports, however, I’m using IFSAPP account and managed to get it worked once. Does anyone have the same situation and had the solution? I read many related topics but haven't found any suitable answer for my case.Thanks in advance!

Customer Order Lines are always in Released status

Every module in IFS has the logic - first status planned and when ready to process release (purchase requisition, purchase order, sales quotation..) Apart from Customer Order whose lines are always in released status. That is causing our business troubles, parts not meant for MRP are considered by it, purchase requisitions are generated without project connection etc. We have to constantly search for ways to “trick” the system while our problems would be solved if also CO follows the general IFS logic. If there are business which want even planned lines to be considered in MRP, there is Release for MTRL planning option. Is there any way to preset CO having first planned status?

EDI incoming orders

We are configuring IFS to process incoming orders via EDI. Is there a way for the system to validate the pricing information and create an error when the price sent on the PO (incoming order) is different from the price set-up with the customer based on price lists or agreements or standard price? We are on Apps9 UPD16We find that when the customer sends an incorrect price on the order line, when approving the order, the system automatically creates a customer order with the wrong price.Incoming price from customer’s .xml file: Price comparison after the order is created: In this case, we need to use the price from Price List 2 which is $97.92 vs. $96.00 which is what was sent via EDI.

Hide a mandatory field from a different user?

Hi,On a PO, I made a purchase group mandatory and applied that base profile to another user. However, when I logged from that particular user’s account, I can see the mandatory field but still it allows that user to untick and proceed. How can I make this field non-editable or hide/gray-out?

Consolidated view of Part Lines & No Part Lines in Requisitions

Hello Community, When raising a Purchase Requisition or Purchase Order, is there no way to consolidate the view of all lines in the document. Having to toggle between Part Lines & No Part Lines tabs is problematic when you have high volumes to deal with. What is the best transaction to view / manage these?

How do you use the "Bundle" options with a custom menu that calls a Quick Report?

I have created a custom menu that calls an IFS Quick Report with a type of Crystal Report. How do I use the bundled data in the Crystal Report. For example, the bundled data forORDER_NO looks like ‘1’,’2’,’3’,’4’. RELEASE_NO looks like ‘1’,’1’,’1’,’1’ SEQUENCE_NO looks like ‘1’,’1’,’1’,’1’ How does Crystal know to break this into 4 different order numbers, release no, and sequence no values?

Crystal Runtime files give error when opening reports, IFS10

hello, we had recently installed Crystal Reports addin within IFS10. I have downloaded and installed the Crystal Runtime files (addon) with 2 users now but they both get the same error:I can run the reports from my own account via IFS without errors, but i have the CR developer installed. Anyone know how to solve this ?

How to use SYSDATE as in parameter to a method call in Aurena ?

I have a method that accept company and the system date as in Parameters. But when I specified ${TRUNC(SYSDATE)} when map the values to parameter it gives the error saying “Sorry, there was an unexpected server error.”

Deploying Multiple Deliveries in an Upgrade Project

Hello,I am reaching out to you to get some information regarding the upgrade projects that you might have done.I am currently working on an upgrade project from APPS9 to APPS10. It has about 15 deliveries in total including 2 UPDs. This takes about 30 hours in total to import the upgraded database and to install all the deliveries for the Managed Cloud.I was wondering whether it would be okay to deploy multiple deliveries including both UPDs and sending it as a single delivery. Has anyone followed this approach before?It would be great if you could share your knowledge and approaches that you followed in the upgrade projects.Thank You

FSM 6 Update 7 Mobile Refresh Scripts broken

Since the upgrade to u7 I have noted that performing a Refresh Scripts from mobile is corrupting the data that is in the scripts on mobile. The best example I can describe it seems that the data coming to mobile has been converted to make it XML safe, meaning < > and & characters have been converted to &lt; &gt; and &amp;. This has only started happening since the upgrade to u7. It seems like it is breaking all scripts in this manner and the only workaround is to completely initialized the device. When that is done the scripts are all stored in the mobile database correctly. Is there a setting that needs to be configured to make sure these characters are re-converted when they are received on the mobile device? I have opened an LCS case for this as it appears to be a significant issue, but I am hoping someone can add some insight here.

Our user reported the followingIn the Business Opportunity the current field is setup to be entered using the ID, however from a user perspective it would be nicer to search by Main Representative Name. Has anyone come across and resolved this issue?
