 Our user reported the following

In the  Business Opportunity the current field is setup to be entered using the ID, however from a user perspective it would be nicer to search by Main Representative Name. Has anyone come across and resolved this issue?

Unfortunately, when I checked the code (as of APP10 UPD10), you are only able to search from "Representative ID" but not the "Representative Name".

However, you could use the following workaround to achieve this,

1. Click on the drop-down arrow at the right-hand corner of the "Main Representative" field and then click on "Find".

 

2. Click on the "Filter Panel" icon to show if hidden and then enter the relevant search criteria for "Name" field.


However, if you really need to search for "Representative Name" within the "Main Representative" field, you can achieve this by performing a customization.

Hi @kirish,

I have also experienced the same in latest UPD as well.

The Representative can only be searched by his/her User ID. Not the name.

I think this is worth to report to RnD for a possible correction.

Could you please raise a support case for this?
