Is it possible to increase the character count length on the Directive field in Fault Reports/Work Orders? We’re finding that the current length is too short for us and making work a little difficult. We understand there is the Long Desc field which is where we put the more detailed, but for many of our Work Orders the Directive simply isn’t long enough for what we want.
For some reason, the system did not create the Financial Project when the Project was setup and approved. Is there a workaround to create the Financial Project or some way to create the Financial Project manually and link back to the Project?
Does anyone have experience with cleaning up Project Snapshot data in IFS Apps 8? I reviewed IFS Cleanup routines but did not come across anything covering the project_snapshot_data_tab. There is a Cleanup_Snapshot_Data.Cleanup_Snapshot_Data procedure but trying to figure out how it gets called in the Application instead of executing it manually. Thanks in advance.
Hi community, in the following screenshot you can see a new Revision, with the Revision No.: 0 Logically, the system should continue counting with the next higher number instead of counting down. Even the IFS help says so: "The internal counter used to keep track of all revisions for a part. For each new revision, the counter is incremented by one. This is used to correctly order part revisions in forms and reports. This field cannot be updated manually." What happens here? Thanks a lot for your help! Best regards Nadim

Does anyone know if there is a process by which we can undo a customer order delivery for something from a project? When we try to use Undo Customer Order Delivery, we get an error message - Customer order delivery has not been undone. Please let me know if additional information is needed to help answer this question. I’m not sure what else would be helpful. Thank you.
Hi all, We have files as large as 10 GB. When we try to create them in IFS, we get this error after 25 min. It happens on both database and ftp repositories. Any ideas on how to handle this?

We have some document attachment opening issue, its opening for one time out of 3-4 times rest of the times it is throwing an error “Received an unexpected EOF or 0 bytes from transport stream”. To diagnose this we want to enable N/W Trace in IEE, Please suggest how can we.
Hi all, At one of our customers we have a "sizing" / "scaling" issue when printing (.zpl) Labels on Zebra printers. In the Label Designer or a ZPL Viewer, the Label Size seems to be correct. However when we print the actual labels, the information which is printed on the Labels is much smaller. Please look at the attached pictures. Although the picture is not perfect, the information on the actual printed label in real life is nearly not readable ( to small). And as you can see, the information printed is aligned to the upper left corner. While in the designer /or ZPL viewer, the information is nicely centered over the entire label. Does anyone of you have an idea what can be the cause of this? Can this be a printer setting, or something in the layout design? (Of course the actual label size is also 8 x 4 cm, as the label was designed. So we are not using the wrong label size.) Thanks and best regards!
Hello we are looking for a way to restrict some customers to place drop ship orders. Is there a way in IFS or someone have some tip/trick to do so. so, when sales try to place drop ship order for that specific customer ,which is not allowed to place drop ship orders, they get error message. any ideas? Dear community, Using the same instance of IFS, with multi company, multi site, we have a scenario where SITEA buys parts from a supplier via SITEB (different companies). The supplier delivers the parts direct to SITEA, however SITEB processes the supplier invoice. I have used EDI/MHS and Purch Order Direct supply code to automate most of the processes however I cannot see how I can do the purchase order receipt at SITEA, which then registers the Direct Delivery in SiteB so that the customer order can be closed and the supplier invoice matched. From the help i see that typically the Supplier would provide the direct delivery EDI to SITEB. I thought i could use the Receiving Advice EDI/MHS from SITEA to SITEB however this requires the customer order lines been delivered to match the receiving advice. Our 12 offices have just upgraded form UPD4 to UPD7 and just found out that in UPD5 that a change was made on the Business Opportunity Line that the cost cannot be changed on an inventory item. Once IFS recognizes the part, the cost is pulled and the user cannot change it. Has anyone else run into this where it is a show stopper for your organization? Our costs can vary depending on the source, depending on the quantity ordered or any deals we may have with certain customers. So it’s common practice for us to adjust the cost for our parts. Any of you have any experience in storing a report from the Report Archive to Document Management (Apps8) ? We are searching a solution that automatic connects a printed reports in IFS report Archive to any business object. For instance, if you print a purchase order (PO) we would like it to be connected to the PO as a document in IFS Doc Mng or a printed customer invoice to be connected to a invoice. We are having an intermittent situation when picking parts with warehouse data collection. Here is our custom created pick list. First, I go to REPORT_PICKING_PART in WaDaco. Then I enter the data for line 1, and I get an error message that says Location No 24A18 does not exist in the context of the entered data and this process. So I start over and I enter data for line 2. It processes completely. Then I go back to line 1, and it processes completely. It appears that IFS is expecting us to pick these 3 parts in a certain order. How can I find out what that order is? I want to print the lines in the correct sequence because its causing workers to go back to a location they were just at to redo the task. Typically this isn’t an issue if material is kept in different bins, the issue comes when the material is in a shared location. Within the WADACO process “Move into Stock” I am trying to generate an Inventory Barcode Label. There is a data item within the configuration titled “Print_Inventory_Part_Barcode”, however there is no “Original Pack Size” following this data item. When selecting “Yes” to print labels, nothing appears in the Print Manager. If I look at other configurations that have the “Print_Inventory_Part_Barcode” data item working properly, it is always immediately followed by the “Original Pack Size” item in order to determine the number of labels to generate. Any ideas as to how to get this to work within the “Move into Stock” configuration? Can the “Original Pack Size be added to this configuration easily? Thanks!

Hi, As am unable to record ongoign sickness on APPS9 - I wanted to record a ‘To’ absence date a long way in the future. Unfortunately, it wont allow that because of holidays booked already it wont allow overlapping absences. Is there anyway i can configure to have more than once absence recorded for a different reason but a the same time?

Hi, Please see the screen of Inventory Transactions History below. You can find Posting error checkbox ON. I would like to find why those errors appeared. 2 lines from top to 2nd might just transfer Inventory from Stock location to shipment location then 3rd line shows parts delivery to customer. The invoice is still NOT issued. In my thought, financial transaction may not be needed, so the checkbox “Has Erroneous Postings “ shows ON with the meaning of Posting NOT required…. Please advice me thet my thought is correct or not. if NOT, please let me know how to check the error and solve it. Regards; Yasuda
