Possibility to close the period for a user with a user group

Possibility to close the period for a user with a user group is not available in IFSThis is a request from a customer and I wonder whether the same received from any other ?Lets say there is a user group for AP where all AP users are connected this includes normal users and a super user.If in case you want to close the period for AP users but keep it open only for the super user, its not possible now. Because now you have to close the user group for the period !Workaround is to have more than 1 user group which is possible but a bit of extra admin.

IFS10: bad perfomance & slow startup when accessing app through a shortcut

Dear IFS Community, Background:We’re hosting IFS10 UPD8 on premise.It was recommended to us, that we should startup IFS through a Desktop shortcut.That shortcut points to a share on the MWS, where the executable is located: Issue:All users who’re using this method experience - independend if its a buisness notebook or a power pc - very long startup times (30 sec+) and - once logged in - very sluggish behaviour (views loading time, field selection, data search time and so). There are no CPU / HD / Memory / Network spikes neither on MWS, DB nor the client itself. When IFS is being accessed through a webbrowser, then IFS behaves a tad more responsive. (Even though the Web variante brings other issues). Basic question:Is anyone else who is hosting IFS on prem accessing IFS through a Destkop shortcut?And if yes, do you or did you experience similar behaviour? Any pointer into the right direction would be appreciated.BR,Cesar

Customer Order COnfirmation

Hi, I have a requirement from the customer where he wants to know if he has got the customer order on 10th of the next month and that order needs to be manufactured (with 70+ plus purchased and sub-assemblies in the BOM) first. Then do we have any functionality where system calculates all the things (like lead time, open supplies etc) and give the result whether they will be able to deliver on 10th or not. if not on 10th then on which date they will be able to deliver. Thanks

Getting ORA-20105: Transaction.UNSUPPORT_DATATYPE’ on event background processing

Hi All,There is a new event action for event ‘History_Log_Modified’ and when it’s running in plsql test window via Fnd_Event_Action_API.Activate_Action not getting any error. But when it’s running from iee from a scheduled task the background job fails and error text is ‘ORA-20105: Transaction.UNSUPPORT_DATATYPE’. Anyone as any clue?

Custom surveys on mobile app

National Insurance Threshold Increase in Apps 10

Could someone help me on identifying which screens in IFS Apps 10 we need to update the change (Increase or decrease) in the National Insurance Threshold? I found one screen called “Regulation Details”. My question was; Where else is this value held and/or changed? This is usually part of the annual payroll update from IFS. Thank you!!!

How to make a custom page, read-only from the client.

Print barcode label for non-CTO part

Is there a way to print barcode labels for a shop order where the part has a serial number but does not have a configuration? We use shop orders for non-CTO parts but we are unable to print the barcode labels report. (we are using IFS 9) Suggestions?

How do you print barcodes from an IFS shop order?

Hi IFS Comunnity, Bartender Software is used by our company to generate labels. Does any of your company use Bartender software? If so, how can you connect IFS to Bartender to print shop orders with barcodes? In my proposal, I would like to create a right-click option to generate a window where the user is able to select the type of label and then print it. I would like to know how others have printed labels from IFS. Please share any documents with me that you may have. Your assistance will be greatly appreciated.We are still using IFS9 Sincerely,JL

Uploaded Bank Statement not Showing transactions

Hi,I have uploaded the bank statement through a slightly modified external template copied from the STDBNKSTAT. The file gets transferred and the header information (opening balance) is also shown in the automatic bank rec window - but the transactions aren’t.In the External File Transactions, it can be seen that the columns are assigned correctly. What am I missing here? Auto recAs you can see, the bank transactions are missing. I might be overlooking something simple, but cannot figure it out.help!This is App10 UPD13Pamith

Invoicing - Service & Maint

Trying to get back to a work order from an invoice ? After creating a work order and completing the work in service and maintenance, I have then created a customer order to generate an customer invoice. The invoice is then sent to the customer to check and pay, however if the customer has a query and gets back to the business, at the moment there is nothing on the invoice that references to the work order that was completed. How does the business establish what work order the invoice is for? Thanks

Why does Pick List for Customer Order print Blank?

What would cause a Pick list to print blank? We print many pick list daily without any issues but once in a while the pick list will be blank. I checked the report view “CUSTOMER_ORDER_PICK_LIST_REP” and there is no report data for a specific Result_key. It seems like the parts are not being added to the list. Is there a status or checkbox for the customer that would cause a blank pick list? I created another order for the same part but for a different customer and the pick list prints fine! The part is a packaged part. We are on APPS10 UPD11 IEE.Thank you,

Hi,Every single object has got a ROWKEY ID, is there a table centralizing a kind of log of who generated this ROWKEY so you can know who is the creator of any data in IFS? and when it was created?If not, how can i know who has created a Supplier? and when?idem for Customer, Employees, Persons …For Purchase Order, there is an history, but for most of the rest, it is not obvious…I know I can create an History Log on every item but 1- that’s a lot of work2- that’s maybe redundant3- It’s not that easy to audit4- It’s slowing down the DB at some pointThanks for your help !
