Users have training materials from "IFS AdminTrng (Apps9)" That material contains a link to a "List of Activities and Windows/Screens": ..........ifsdoc/f1doc/Foundation1/040_administration/210_security/020_permission_sets/reference_itd/feature_activities.htm. However, that list does not cover ALL the Permission Set Activities, for example, "Document Management" Activities. Where can I find or get "HELP", i.e., explanations, on all the Activities NOT covered in Foundation1 help as noted ??
Currently running IFSAPP10 and the IFS freight interface. Is there anywhere you can add DIMS or boxes in IFS that will pass to the freight systems?
As of now, the system generated emails (eg: emails via Custom Events - Email action) have sender name as ‘IFS9PROD’ or ‘IFS9TEST’.We are on App9.The email address of the sender is what we have put in MAIL_SENDER1 (in IFS Connect).Email address is fine for us, but we would like to have the sender name something else.Do you know where we can change this?
Hello Community!Where/how can I get a detailed description for each Activity which does not show any “Where Used” links? For example, all of the “Document Management” Activities - they show nothing in the “Where Used” pane; and many seem redundant with the database objects (although I know they are not, just not how). Hi,I’m using IFSAPP for both IEE and Aurena. In IEE it is possible to edit addresses. But, Why can’t we edit Supplier Address in Aurena? It only allows to change the country but not the address info. Is there any option in Aurena or is this a limitation in Aurena?Please advise.Thank you in advance.
Here is a scenario that creates a bit of confusion for our SAs (and dispatchers):A SA is at a customer, but has to make the order incomplete for some reason. This flags the current activity as Fulfilled, and creates a new activity on the order (assigend to the same SA).If we now assign the order to another SA, the open activity gets reassigned to the new SA (fine), but the order is not removed automatically from the original SAs device. It is kept, but without any activities. In v12.5, orders without activities (for the specific SA) had a different colour than orders with an activity.Is there a way to automatically remove orders that are reallocated/without open activities from a device? Or some other way to flags this so it’s easily visible for the SA?
Hello,Do you have an idea concerning the transaction ID accounting error after counting per inventory part (M7 or M184) :=> “Code part Project must have a value for line IN Material Requisition”Indeed, after counting my Standard Inventory part (ID project is null), the accounting transaction linked to the accounting M7 (COUNT-IN) or M184 (COUNT-OUT) are in error because it needs a Project_ID even if it is a Standard Inventory. The generation of accounting transaction is working for Project Inventory because the field Project_id is filled, but when it is the Standard inventory, i have the message error in the field “error description” in the inventory transaction history. It would be helpful if someone in the community can help me. Thanks a lot
Using the Excel Migration Job is very nice. I've noticed that sometimes a dropdown on fields is opening up in Excel. It seems to come from the settings in IID Values Fig 1 - IID ValuesSo in this case there is the Manufacturer Number field. I know the content of IID Values is weird, but this is just for the examples sake (please bear with me). This results in the following: Fig 2 - Boolean values as dropdown valuesIf I change the IID Values to something like (have to duplicate the line, make the change in the new line and delete the original one): Fig 3 - Different LU used on IID ValuesThis leads to the following dropdown values in Excel: Fig 4 - Resulting DropdownThese come from basic data: Fig 5 - Basic dataI've noticed that this doesn't work for all LUs. So if I used a different LU as in Figure 3 I would assume different dropdown values in Excel. However that is not the case. Most of the time it doesn't work. Hi,I am trying to create Consolidated Transport Task via Inventory Part in Stock Reservation. My question is whenever the reservation records have different location groups (same location type -picking) it triggers a separate Transport task instead of consolidating into one despite the parameters I have set up in Site level ( refer the attachment) . The warehouse setting is NULL so Site should override ( I have thoroughly tested different scenarios, but ending up with same result). I got this checked technically as well. Can someone pls explain the logic behind having the location group preventing a Transport Task Consolidation ? Or whether you found a work-around for this ? Thanks in Advance !RegardsYashodha
I’m trying to pinpoint why demand for a specific part in our system is fluctuating from day to day with no input changes other than the occasional order entry. We have a customer that takes 1,000 units (per forecast). As I’m still only 2 months into using IFS I’m trying to make sure I understand this properly in regards to flow:-Customer sends forecast-Planner enters forecast into system for finished unit-Forecast drives supply side to enter purchase orders which then show as system supply-Customer sends an actual order to fulfill-Planner enters the order in the system which should then reduce the forecast (ie. order is for 200 units so June demand should drop to 800 with the hard order for 200)-Nowhere should the demand fluctuate for a given part just so no orders are made in excess of the actual forecastNow I may be misunderstanding this but since I started here I’ve been monitoring IFS reports daily to try and pinpoint where there are opportunities to understand the system better.

Need help for a suggested way of overwriting the default PRICE_LIST_NO value on the Postings Tab.Thought I could do it by using an event, but not sure exactly how that code would be written to function as intended.Function needed:When new posting lines is added to a Work Order in the “Postings” tab, each line pulls the Preferred Pricelist from the connected Customer, using that Customer’s Price List value. Problem is that the same Customer can have more than one Service Contract (and more than one Object / site), but with different service types depending on the Contract. Therefore we need to be able to pull different Price List No values on the same Customer, why the Price List or Customer Agreement is not fully enough to create proper sales price invoicing. So what I’m looking for is a way where the standard Price List No value can be overwritten to another one, using an Event, if fx the Service Contract Type connected to the Work Order has a certain value, and then overwrite the Pri

Hi All,Can the 'Release for Mtrl Planning' flag on a customer order line set to default as unchecked when the order header is in the Planned status and only check when the customer order header is released. The default in IFS standard is to have this checked and user to uncheck. Speaking to our technical team it looks like we may need to create a custom event for this, but I wondered if anyone knew of a standard way to do? Thanks,Susan

It is suppose to be like a BOE, but the VCOM is using the id Format FRCOFor exemple:The invoice is due for the 1st JuliyYou have your payables on a balance account C 401Then when the VCOM payment is done let say today it should trigger an IP1: D 401 / A PP26: C 403In then the 1st july we should have the cashout mouvement PP26: D 403 / PP1: C 512 Today when I trigger a VCOM Payment type I only see an IP1 D401 and a PP1 C512 Thanks for helping Ivi

And how to change it?My first thought was it is decided by the new functionality from APP10 in Graphical Organization Structure ‘Direct Supervisor Selection’ - if select ‘Based on immediate parent position or above’, indicator Direct Report on Employee File will be turned on to YES. But after testing I found it is not so.
Hello,Is there a way to add a newly-created GL account to a single Accounting Structure that is being used across multiple companies at once? Currently, when a new account is added, we have to go into each company, query that single Accounting Structure and add it manually into the structure node. We have potential for 50+ companies in the future that will be using the same balance sheet structure for consolidation purposes and it would be very cumbersome to go into each of those companies to manually add it. Is there an easier way to manage this if the same exact structure ID is being used?
Hello,we have 3 node application server IFS 10 SP6we had one node which was throwing error“server reached MaxRequestWorkers setting, consider raising the MaxRequestWorkers setting”this hung the whole application cluster.the default value of MaxRequestWorkers is 400.can you suggest.How can i check what made this parameter reach 400 how do i ensure if one node is stuck other nodes keep on workingBest RegardsPankaj
