Having an issue with Planning method A - for purchased finished good. Using MS Level 1 - but if I set Min/Max/Multiple lot sizes to anything other than zero, Purchase req’s go away and get MS Supply lines instead. Also, I am using planning time fence as a surrogate for purchasing lead time, which doesn’t seem to have any functionality. How do you specify whether MS1 or MRP is doing the planning?This is all in IFS 8 (upgrading to IFS 9 soon I believe).
Hi evryone, I have issue in copying/importing Accounting report from existing company.I have imported Colum, Row and Report template file from company A to another company B to view exactly same Accont report in different company in Report Generator.However, Net assets and Expenses rows shows opposite sign of plus and minus on Company B compared to Company A. Does anyone know where I could change plus and minus sign on Company level?I have tried to copy templates from Company A to B instead, but the result shows the same… So I don’t think there are some error at copying and importing, but it must be setting in some place I should change in Company B. Hope anyone could advise, thanks.

I came across a case where a simple search in Supplier Schedule Line takes around 1 hour to return results.We’ve investigated and narrowed down that the condition that gives the biggest performance hit is the between condition applied on ‘Created’ field.However, further investigation showed that the supp_sched_line_tab had more than 40 million records. So, the performance hit is self-explanatory.40 million is a way too big of a number to exist in a single table. My question is, is there a procedure to clean up older / completed Supplier Schedule Lines in apps 8? If there is, where can I find more information on that?

Hi, We are having a weird issue where reports are taking 20-30 seconds longer to generate depending on what company/site they are pulling from. For example, the customer order acknowledgement, which is a crystal reports file. For Company A, Site 1 it takes about 25-30 seconds to generate a preview. For Company B, Site 1 it takes 50-55 seconds. Both are using the same crystal layout and oracle view. Any ideas on what this could be?Thanks,Mike

HiWe have made use of Resource Attribute Basic Data, by creating several Resource Attributes with corresponding Resource Attribute Values. We would like to use this in custom fields on our resource, but how could this be done?We want it to be used as a persistent field, so that we can choose which of the attribute values the user wants. We ideally don't want an Enum, as it would mean two separate value list that both should be maintained, but we can’t get a reference field to work, because all the Resource Attribute Values are in 1 view, as opposed to separate view?Is this even possible?Best Regards
Having trouble displaying a BLOB field in Crystal.If I drag media_thumb from media_item onto my report, it displays the thumbnail in design mode, but when I preview, it errors with If I insert a picture and change the properties of the picture to use the media_thumb field, that also crashes saying you can’t use blob fields in queries.Any ideas how I get around this. We are trying to change our Apps 10 instance to use a custom url such as ifs.domain.com so we can use our wildcard certificate to secure the connection. We have a .local internal AD domain (can’t be changed right now) and don’t want to point users to the app server name to access IFS. DNS is pointed correctly. We have changed the <ifs.system.url> in the instance XML file and started services again, but not sure what else to do to get this to work.

Hi,We are using IFS Cloud Build Place to do development. When we set up local development environment, some cloud developers cannot login DEV environments with error “Too long” but the others can. The VPN connection is fine with green light. In this scenario, the developer also couldn’t login DEV database through PL/SQL developer. What’s the root reason of this? Thanks in advance!
