Map Different Accounts to one manfacture Part under Posting Control 'M1'

HI Team,Could you please guide me is there any way.Can we define two different GL account to one manufacture part under posting control M1.Ideally this is scenario will arise when business want to buy to manufacture part in the market rather than manufacture on their own.We are thinking to use Control Types C32 -Accounting Group & C46- Location Type, but the problem is Location Type ‘Picking’ is available in all the places like during arrival, shop order etc.Regards,TecAlages

No reverse button for "Collapse All" button in Structures

The “#” or the “Collapse All” button above the structure allows you to fold the entire structure (to switch from the first to the second screenshot). But it is unable to reverse that using the same button and go back to the unfolded structure as in the first screenshot.

Auto shutdown of IFS APPS 10 system - power outage

Hi Everyone,I have posted here as there appears to be nowhere to post relating to IFS admin / infrastructure.Does anyone have any thoughts on the best way to auto-shutdown a Windows Server environment that runs IFS APPS10 in the event of an extended power outage?We were told to shut the system down in a very specific and manual way when I did the IFS admin training about 18 months ago:shut down TA and Reports virtual servers run shutdown script on MW virtual server then shut it down run shutdown script on DB server then shut it downThis is fine when you are doing a manual shutdown but what about when there is a power outage?I can get my UPS to send shutdown requests to the windows servers in our infrastructure, but this would just shut them down. Does anyone have a setup that allows them to run the required scripts in the required order then shut down the IFS servers?My specific environment is a Windows Hyper-V cluster (2016) running a mixture of WIndows Server 2016 and 2019 virtual

Handling unit capacity

Dears,When I want to use handling unit in register arrivals IFS APPS 10 checks for handling unit capacities on the part. When we create them on parts that r already in inventory he doesn't. Why is it required in register arrivals and not when the part is in inventory?

Custom list should not auto populate on Work order screen

Hi All , I have created a tab with list in Prepare work order screen using custom entities . custom entity name -- > CePiecesUtil I have used standard projection(prepare Work order handling) of the work order page to connect the standard entity and custom entity .Active separate -- parent entity , CePiecesUtil -- > custom entity Association name is CUtilRef using page designer , added the list within a tab , and the list is displaying data . has connected it using a data source field set (CePiecesUtilSet)The issue is the list is supposed to populate only when object Id and object site is choosed or when a work order site is used . till then it must be empty , but right now , it is populating with all the values even before a work order is saved . Tried using binding in page designer , but it is throwing error or not displaying the list .Thank you

CAMRO Purchase Order Connection to Project

Hi all, Apparently it is not possible to connect a purchase order line with demand code ‘interim order’ to a project activity. Only demand codes Inventory Order and Non-Inventory Order are allowed to connect. Is there a reason why this works this way? Trying to figure out the implications this might have. Is there some kind of workaround that I am missing?

External file Budget - Upload error

Hi,I’m trying to upload a csv file with External file Budget Periods and I have an issue that the first line is always with error : Invalid value format or invalid Decimal Symbol in the Loaded File. The other lines have been unpacked without error. I have verified the line with error and there is no difference vs the other lines.But If I delete the line with error from my csv file and upload the file again, the same error appears for the new first line (second line in previous upload) even if this line was unpacked without error in the previous upload.There are always an issue with the data in the first line, even if the data (with same format) was unpacked without error in previous upload. Could you please help with this issue? Thank you

Primary Picking

I am wanting to create a primary picking and a secondary picking location for my inventory. I have tried availability controls to mark as “over stock” and have that availability control set to not auto reserve. This works somewhat, but if the pick ticket is over the quantity in bins with out the availability control we struggled. Replenishment happens daily to the optimized pick paths, but sometimes that isn’t fast enough and I would like to direct picking according to availability as well as FIFO. Any options outside of availability controls?

Cannot delete Valid for Site on Work Task Template

Hello,I’m trying to remove sites from Work Task Templates where the site has been decommissioned. There are no active work orders for the site(s) I’m trying to remove, only historic. I’m getting this error when trying to delete the site from the Valid for Sites list: Does anyone know if this error is poorly written where it also applies to Historic work orders? In our DEV environment, I can delete sites that do not have active or historic work orders, but if they have either I get this message. I want to be able to ‘clean up’ work task templates when sites are no longer active so I’m wondering if I’m missing something? Thank you!

Shop Order Planning with Parts Available Only in Defined Packages and UoM Not Each

Hello,Is it possible to have IFS plan/issue in minimum unit quantities? For instance, PartA has inventory UoM in mL and is issued in mL, and it is only available in 1 mL increments. So, if a shop order calls for < 1 mL of material, we want planning to see demand for 1 mL. For example, if we need 0.6 mL for the shop order, we are going to open one of the 1 mL packages, use 0.6 mL, and ‘scrap’ the remaining 0.4 mL because it can not be used after the package is opened. We don’t want Planning to ‘see’ demand for 0.6 mL on one shop order and demand for 0.4 mL on a 2nd shop order and think that we have enough material when, in fact, we would need 2 mL (2 x 1mL packages). Since we are going to use 1 mL increments no matter what, we want planning to see demand in 1 mL increments and we want to issue in 1 mL increments. Defining the UoM as each would be the best way to handle this, but is there a way to handle it in another UoM.

Repair shop order - stuck in a loop

Hi, We use the repair Shop order. Never has issues with it, untill now. If we want to receive to SO, We get the error: “Serial number XXX cannot be received because it was not issued or has allready been received to this repair order’ However, if i take a look at the part serial History of that part, the lates line created says under transaction Description: “Issued for Shop order YY” The shop order number is the same as the shop order giving a problem.On the shop order itself, the material line status of that part is also ‘Issued’The status of the shop order is ‘started’, all operations are closed. We just need to do the reception. In the Part serial history of that part, you can see:Part was manufuctured using SO Blue Part was issued to SO Red As the part was faulty, it was unissued and unreserved for SO Red. It’s also not visible in the As Built Structure. The SO is still open Part was issued to repair SO Black. This one needs to be closed, so we can issue it back to SO Red and cont

Shop Order Picklist - Automatic Issue to Shop Order

Hi,Is there a way to have a picklist generated and reported for a shop order but not have it automatically issue to the shop order? We have distinct separation between the operators who pick the stock and the operators who use the stock.We would like the responsibility of issuing to the shop order to sit with the person using the stock.

Is there a way to see company wide employee absences.

Hello Experts,Generally HR Access prevents employees from viewing other employees’s data such as absences if they don’t have access to those employees. However, a customer has a requirement that everyone need to see each others availability. They don’t want to see what type of leave others have applied. Only the availability. Apart from this normal access should work according to the position access and access role setups. I think this is a valid request and would like to know whether there is a solution or workaround for this. Thank You

Apps9: Purging no longer valid price lists

Am hoping someone can give me some guidance on how they manage price lists that are no longer valid. We operate on a system where haulage is included as part of the price per part. Which means that each price list has to factor the distance from the source to delivery point. As a result, we have a price list per delivery post code, per pricing level for all of our customers. Currently 22k price lists. We revise our prices approx twice per year, so the number of lists are growing. The update procedure we use (Migration scripts from CSV) takes a long time to run as it performs checks on previous lists. I would like to remove the price lists that are no longer valid to speed this process up. Is there anything anyone can suggest to remove those price lists or archive them perhaps?

Hi everyone! Maybe you can help a newbie:When we read mails from a mailbox via ETM to create a ticket from them, the ticket is properly created in Assyst. But the original mail is not deleted in the mailbox. As a result, the same process is created over and over again. Where can I set in the ETM channel that the mail is deleted after successful import? Community, May I know why warehousE task SHOP ORDER PICK LIST subsequent process ID is REPORT_PICK_PART_SO_PICK_LIST rather than START_SHOP_ORDER_PICKING? This is out of box configuration ID 1. Is it wrong?

depreciation proposal does not capture one object

depreciation proposal does not capture one object.I check for the basic data and all look fine and similar to other objects and this particular object doesn't get included in dep. proposal. and has not depreciated from the activation in 2021.the asset is in active status.

connect to IFS with Report Designer

Hello all,I had a working Report Designer on my old laptop (Win10 Pro). Since I have a new laptop (Win11 Pro) and installed the Report Designer again, the application starts correct but I cannot connect to IFS. I have looked into the other questions on this forum but the solutions mentioned did not work for me. Can anyone help me out ?System is Win11 Pro, IFS10 Upd10, Report Designer as shown below. I also have PL/SQL and the Oracle client installed, that works fine. Also connecting Excel to the IFS database gives no issues. Just the Report Designer fails.
