I would like to manipulate the Lot/Batch Number for By-Products as it’s received on the Shop Order. Currently, the Lot/Batch number for By-Product will automatically generate the same Lot/Batch group for the overall order. I would like the By-Product Lot/Batch Number to be in the same family of the component part the by-product was created from. Example of current scenario:Shop Order 123 lot batch number= 123-*-*-1 andBy-Product from that Shop order auto generates lot batch = 123-*-*-2 Goal:Single component used in the Shop Order 123 is from PO 321 therefore, component lot/batch no = 321-*-*-1I would like the By-Product Lot batch to be 321-*-*-2 (same beginning as the component lot batch) when it is received on Shop Order 123. I know the ability to manually enter the information is possible but increases the chances of user error greatly. Can by-product be auto generated to match the sequence of the component lot batch?

Azure to IFS Azure

As part of the cloud migration, we created an app-service and deployed the API that would connect to the IFS database. Even though the AA’s Azure IPs are whitelisted in the IFS side, still we are having issues connecting to the database. The attached screenshot shows that we are able to establish connection to the IFS servers from the Azure App-Service. However, when we try to invoke an API that connects the IFS DB, the API fails to connect to the DB. Attached is the stack trace of the error that we receive from the IFS dll. Could you please point us to someone from IFS who can help with this and make us understand what could be causing the issue.

How to Identify multiple serials by scanning Barcode ID

I’m trying to scan Barcode ID when identifying multiple serials during reservation and picking on a shipment.The problem is that after first scan and choosing Next, IFS Cloud does not bring you back to the scanning field. You need to manually click in the scanning field to continue. This means you cannot scan multiple parts without having to operate the keyboard also. Not very efficient.!Any ideas on how to do this is highly appreciated.

Tool Crib Management/Tools Allocation, Issue/unissue tracking.

Hi, how to configure Tools in a MRO setup, such that tools can be allocated against tasks in work order as well as be able to track the tool issue and return? I understand that I can avail one of the functionality either Resource Allocation or an indirect way of monitoring the issue/return through Maint Material Issue/unissue feature. Any ideas? please share.

Invoice creation event action?

Hello,I’ve created an invoice creation event action to trigger a workflow that is supposed to be executed every time an invoice row is added to the INVOICE_TAB but for some reason, even though IFS creates new entries with new Invoice IDs in this table, they do not trigger the custom event and event action when a correction or credit invoice is created off of an invoice.Any idea on why this is and when some limitation like this might occur again in other areas? is this just a different table/view I have to focus on for my custom event?Thanks,Bryan

Adding Ship Loose Parts To Shipment

If we have ship loose parts (like bolts, nuts, etc.) that need to be shipped with an order (sometimes known at order onset and others not known until Manufacturing done) how can you add this to an order in IFS Cloud or at least have a notification of some sort for Shipping to know that these are required? We are on 23R1 SU10 currently.

Hi all, Can i check if the standard user accounts (not IFSAPP) cannot see the lobby or quick reports they created? Currently, Additional projections need to be granted manually rather than auto. Is there something that could be permission set to allow users to view quick report they create on the spot rather than look for system admin to request permission. Thanks.

When multiple valid agreements exist, default retrieve the agreement with the lowest ID to the customer order.

“When multiple valid agreements exist for the same customer, site and currency, the system will per default retrieve the agreement with the lowest ID to the customer order, and display this in the customer order header.” Is there any logic to selecting the lowest ID?
