Just for information.We are looking into extending this functionality in IFS Cloud (21R2) so that if changing the currency code on the Work Task (not the Work Order) it should modify the all sales lines which are not invoiced with new prices and also the currency code of the sales line will be updated.
Correct. You need to have entered an object of Linear Asset type (Connection Type = LINEAR ASSET in the General tab to activate the Linear Asset type.No use to show that tab if the PM isn’t registered on a Linear Asset.
Hi,I don’t think that the question was related to duplication/copying of work order but the function Master/Duplicate.The function itself is found on the work task (not the work order) and it to be used when there exists multiple work tasks that is in fact the same actual work.This could be a scenario where the work order and work tasks has been created from multiple PM’s that has been grouped together. Some of the work list lines (that will become work tasks in the grouped work order) could be the same physical work (e.g. removing a control panel to get access to whatever should be checked/replaced or turning off the electricity for a certain area in order to get a safe working environment). In such a scenario it it possible to select one of these work tasks as Master and he others as Duplicates. That will allow the user just to process the Master work task in status, the Duplicates will just then follow the Master.I hope that gave some clarity on the Master/Duplicate functionality.Wo
You are correct in the sense that the functionality exists in the Work Order Structure page (previously named Work Order Execution Logic pre App10) @LenaicDAVID.But the functionality is still related to the Work Tasks connected to the Work Orders in the structure.The functionality in this page will set the Master/Duplicate relationship automatically between Work Tasks in individual Work Order or for the whole Work Order Structure.This functionality is originally designed for the Fleet Management process and works based on information created in that solution.In App10 when we introduced Work Task and removed Operations we opened up the possibility to manually set Master/Duplicate relationship between Work Task, so it might be used outside of the Fleet Management solution.I'm not aware of any usage outside of the Fleet Management solution at the moment, but as I stated before - it would be really interesting to hear from someone that has implemented this in Apps10.
Hi,The AUTO_FINISH_ORDER isn’t the property that you are looking for (this one are related to Maintenance Order in the VIM/Fleet Management solution).The property that controls the handling of finishing WO together with the finishing of Work Task is FINISH_WITH_TASK.Change this to TRUE if you want the Finish With Task check-box/toggle to be on as default (or to FALSE if you want it to be off as default). Notice that you always manually can change the value in this check-box/toggle on the WO by using the RMB/Command ‘Finish with Task’.
Hi @EPSDANMI In Update 8 we have introduced the capability that you are after.This is from the news presentation for Update 8 and will hopefully guide you in the right direction:An easy-to-use capability where several work orders and/or several tasks can be marked and assigned to a single person or tool/equipment. Similar concept as the Direct Allocation capability already present where this can be done by task, but the user interaction here allows for doing it all in one go. The new dialogue introduced is called Assign Multiple Tasks. Possible to use this in Prepare Work Order, Active Work Orders and Active Tasks. It is only possible to use Assign Multiple Tasks on active work, not historical. It is only possible to select several Work Orders/Tasks to be assigned in the same WO Site. The allocated dates and hours will be fetched from the Task’s Planned Start, Planned Finish and Duration. If no planned dates, the system time will be used.
Hi @Nipun Gunaratne , When credit invoice is at preliminary status at customer invoice window , you can edit at “ Customer invoice line at customer invoice window” . Yet these values are not updated on Budget tab. Hence i believe it is never intended to edit at Customer invoice line. So i believe correct approach would be , editing additional line with correct value at sales tab, and going again with invoice preview. Hi @Xavier Fernando Really good explanation of this flow and yes the intended way is to edit the additional line and go through the invoice preview again.

Hi @kelli.kaskiw You are referring to the HCM news presentation for App10 Update 10 right?I had a look at that (not working in HCM but in Maintenance, but since you asked about work order related stuff, you got me interested), and from what I can see it has been implemented but just in the Aurena client (see attached screen shot).

Yes you should be able to do that by a setting on each site.
Hi @mlowicki You shouldn’t need to do more then you have done.A shot in the dark - are you using WIP cost codes? If so, can you double check that the WIP code has been reversed to the ordinary cost code on all transactions.The only reason I can think of would be that for some reason one (or many) of the transactions has a WIP cost code (that is the criteria that are checked).
Hi @JStack No, there is no way of changing this behavior.Information is not going back to the Work Order/Work Task from the Customer Order, thus a change on the Customer Order wouldn’t be reflected on the Work Order/Work Task which would result in incorrect data.
It would be nice to have something in this direction..But there would of course be things to consider like when to put it back (checks on open Work Orders/Work Tasks) and also we need to have a check on if there is mechanism to consider in Manufacturing where they can have operational plans on the equipment (I don’t know if there is some way on that side to set an equipment to out of operation).But yes - interesting area.
No, that is not possible without doing some customization outside of the core solution.
First question - this functionality can’t be turned off.The base for the reposting code string is also posting control setup.I’m wondering if the setup for the Account (Konto) has been changed in posting control between the original transaction and the time when the reposting was done?Could be good if we could see State and Cost Code columns in the example above also (best would be to see ALL columns), so I could get some idea on why the Account has changed.Also M50 setup in Posting Control would be something that would be good to have a screenshot of.
Hi, no there is no option turning this off.There is a flag on each work task and cost line called ‘Finally Posted’ that will stop the reposting of transactions. That flag is automatically set when finishing a Work Task but can also manually be set (if prerequisite is fulfilled).
And if we are talking pre APP10 then the only option is the Route-WO functionality. But that requires that the WO is generated from a Route-PM.In APP10 and beyond this is catered for by the Work Task an Work Task Step functionality as Mayura points out.
Hi @lisa.gilesAB If you are using Application 10 the Due Date stays even after closing of the Work Order, so I assume that you are not using Application 10 but an earlier release.Without testing it out in your version, I would think that you would need to go on the planned and actual dates on the Work Order to get what you want.
These dates have never been transferred over to WO from a connected activity.However I know that this has ben requested from customers in the past, but haven’t been prioritized.
Hi @ssmith_DHP I don’t think adding an Override Cost Code will do much in this case.The strange thing are as you say that you haven’t got any TP3 record created, that is really strange.What are the status on the Work Task?I would try to have the Work Task first in like Work Done stage and then use Release WIP to Final Accounts on the rows that have WIP codes on them and then again try to remove Finally Posted.Still I’m puzzled why you didn’t get a TP3...
In your example with Work Order Cost Type = ‘External’ the planned cost are calculated based on what you have planned to purchase via PO (No Parts or pure Purchase Parts).This planned value will not change just because the PO’s are closed (=material etc are received).The receiving of the material etc on the PO’s will update the Actual Cost, but as said the planned value will stay (planned is planned and actual is actual outcome). So the cost are not transferred over in some way.Hope that helps.
I tested this a bit.When cancelling the PO you will get a message asking you ‘Reopen Purchase Requisition Line(s) and Connected Approval Quotation Line(s)? YES/NO’.If you are answering YES then you will either be able to create a new PO from the requisition line or just delete the line(s) and the header and in that way you can set the WO to finish.If you answer NO then you should have ended up with a closed requisition header and line with status ‘PO Created’. In this case you will be able to finish the WO without doing anything with the requisition.Since you have the requisition in Release status then I assume you answered YES and then go with 1 above.If you answered NO and still have the requisition in Release status and the requisition line in PO Created status you are in trouble and must have stubbled across a bug. Have a look a the status on the requisition line. If it is Released or Planned you can just delete the line and move on from there.
Hi,From what I can see this is a purchase of an inventory part. If so then in Application 10 the cost of such purchase will come to the Work Order/Work Task when doing the actual issue of the material.The material cost will in fact be the inventory cost and not the purchase cost.Hope that answered you question.
Hi,Yes I can see now that this is a external service order flow.Had some discussions and conclusion is that it would be good if it was possible for you to record a flow where you show what is done in this process (from A-Z).There are some different flows in here and it is hard to make conclusion just by looking at the attached screenshots.FYI @hastse
