Transfer of MO from one customer to another

Hi @karthik.rajakumarS. Having had the same scenario at Tarmac Aérosave (commercial aviation however) when they store or maintain an airplane transitioning from one owner to another. During that process, it is often required to invoice old versus new customer, change the registration number of the airplane, meaning issuing a release certificate for the old registration, and another for the new one. Seems very normal 2 different WP are created to achieve these steps. Now, I understand that deferring a list of tasks is not straightforward. I would recommand you having a BPA or any other logic to quickly defer a list of maintenance events and reassigning them to a child MO.

Task completed in mWO not updating to Work Done

@Uthpala @James Ashmore @JerryB Jerry has a fair comment. We often use resource demands for tools in addition of labor demands. While we close the labor demand through the complete process explained, the tool demand remains open because used as an information only (not meant to drive any allocation). The work task will remain started even if it is work done in real life. This is another example explaining that this process delivered in IFS is not straightforward on the field. It might mean it should be revisited as the core product might not meet customer requirements, shouldn’t it ?

I recommend that you keep the solution with having separate part numbers for a new vs refurbished product since those may have a different cost, price and should be planned separately. A suffix on the original part number is a good solution I believe. @Bjorn Could you detail why condition code is not preferred versus part number duplication ?

@tvance2 It works fine too if you build a read-only custom field that is made of variables retrieved from the context of navigation. Is it what you try to achieve ?

Deprecation of the FTP and Shared repository types in Docman in 24R1 - a heads-up

Who benefits from this and how do they benefit? This seems rather capricious and difficult for customers who rely on currently available options. Aren’t there more important things we could do to help our customers instead of making their lives more difficult? By having fewer repository options we will save time spent on maintaining them, and we can spend that time on "fun" things which will benefit customers. Also, FTP support is getting rather long in the tooth and does not provide much benefit over IFS Cloud File Storage, provided by the platform. Seems these options are there for ages. Thus, I’m a bit skeptic about the workload spent in support. We’ve been smart enough to let our customers choose between remote and Cloud hosting, which a differenciator from the competition. Even if Cloud hosting on Azure is in our favor from a business perspective of course. It’s like we want our customers choose the most expensive option with file storage or premium database.

Hello @mmoss. Work tasks returns are really tied to WOs. So here are the possibilities :Having a dummy WO that is the source of the work task returns Having an inbound interface from your service management system to initialize both the work tasks and the returns Or using a feature which is independant from work tasks, e.g. “Receive Inventory part”

Hello @Akshaya S. If the problem is still open, you can use the hereunder syntax that allows to bind the new tab with the selector of the main page. In your case, it should be ActiveSeparateSelector with the corresponding keys set as properties.

Hello @ElioJ. At which step of shop visit process have you created the PO ? In general, if it is interim order related, it means the component will be automatically assigned and reserved for the shop visit. It means project inventory is not meanful in that context, which is similarly achieved with the interim order connection.

Navigate to page with treeview from Aurena lobby

Hello @Björn Hultgren. I do have the same issue navigating to projects, which seems a bit more complex. I’ve tried this URL : tree/ProjectMonitoring/ProjectLevel?$filter=ProjectId eq $Project_Id$&navicontext=Monitoring after having tried a few other syntaxes that give a 404 error.But the result is average as the expand button is there but the tree view is not loaded. Any tip here ?

@Dario Zani @Björn Hultgren Interesting feedback here. It points out two weaknesses where I can quote other customers to better explain the challenges in that area :We have a CAMRO project at OGMA in Portugal to run their engine shop. They are moving out from Oracle EBS. In Oracle, they’ve done a modification to be able to track a part between two operations, just because they need to track where the part is in a large facility, and organize the daily work for part trackers (employees responsible to move parts from one machine to another). What was done at your customer, creating interim operations, is really a workaround, and the requirement would be to use transport tasks in that context, even if the part is in WIP. That one is for @Björn Hultgren At SAMES, a manufacturer, they are moving out from Infor Movex, and wants to execute shop orders in Scan it. The use-case is that warehouse keepers assemble final products before shipments, and execute other usual transactions enabled in S

Hello @Björn Hultgren. Interesting input here. I agree this process is disconnected from the wishable shipment process, that opens the door to transport tracking, customs declaration, normal printings,… And I remember a modification done at Figeac Aéro on that idea (Applications 9, upgrading to IFS Cloud). Are you aware if the idea was created ?
