Hi. We are currently running IFS Cloud 23R1 in the Gov Cloud. My understanding based on release notes is that Constraint Based Scheduling (CBS) / Advanced Planning Board (APB) functionality will eventually be deprecated, to be replaced with Manufacturing Scheduling and Optimization (MSO) functionality. We recently upgraded to 23R1, but the MSO functionality is not available, presumably because it is licensed separately. We have security configured to secure ITAR data at the site level, so we have set up a regular non-ITAR site and an ITAR site for such locations. These locations have work centers that are used for both ITAR and non-ITAR work, so separate work centers are set up in each site for the same physical work centers. This results in a lot of manual work to maintain the schedules and capacity, so we are looking into a possible customization to have work center capacity / scheduling automatically updated for these work centers - so that when a shop order operation is creat
Dear All, We are currently working on an IFS upgrade project to transition one of our IFS customers from IFS 9 UPD 14 to IFS Cloud. We have completed our first upgrade iteration and have upgraded the customer to IFS Cloud 23 R1. The customer belongs to the telecom sector, and work orders from IFS applications are the main area they are utilizing. During this initial iteration, it took 78 hours and 20 minutes to execute the main upgrade script. Out of this total time, 72 hours and 52 minutes were spent on post-installation data file deployment. Within this time frame, the work order module related files took up 69 minutes and 37 minutes. We always manually issue materials on shop orders without reserving them first. We currently have a shop order for which we were able to manually issue the materials. But now when we try to Approve the Operation in the shop floor workbench, we get the error message “There are not enough reservations to issue this amount. Part ##### needs to be Reserved before issue. What is the cause of and or resolution to this error message? thank you
Hello IFS Community! Our opportunities are worked on for an extensive period of time, after being closed won, during which, at times, customers change the initial order. As we’ve already booked the initial order against revenue, we cannot just re-open a closed won opportunity and update the initially set estimated base value as that would wipe out the booked value from record.A potential solution is to copy an opportunity and create an adjusted record of the same for orders that have increased from initial order value but it does not work for opportunities that now have a decrease in value, as the estimated base opp value field will not accept a negative value entered. Anyone else dealing with anything similar to this? Is there a way to enter a negative value in base opp value? Thanks in advance!
Purchase Order Receipts on MWO Service App show ALL parts requiring receipt to all engineers and I cannot work out how to prevent it. I thought the PO Receipts should only go to the MWO when the Engineer has the Work Order that the parts were ordered on but it appears all Purchase Orders linked to a Destination Warehouse appear in the Purchase Order Receipts Box. Example, I currently have 250 Purchase Order Receipts showing that I can mark as received but none of them I should be able to receive as they are not mine to receipt. How to we prevent this? Thanks,

Hi,We have a serious issue with a posting that is using IP31 - I don’t know why but it just posts the amount and credit amount to voucher rounding. We effectively have to setup the Company Page here to be a ridiculous difference to allow the the invoice to post or select override on the voucher when processing in customer invoices with errors. Row 14 in the posting below is to 7199 (IP31 defaulted to this code). But it should not need to use this and should be posting to 2442. I don’t understand why the amount and credit amount decide they are better off elsewhere and it doesn’t just post to 2442 alongside the currency amount.Also Currency Amount and amount are the same currency so how is there possibly a difference. This posting then means the GL is out of balance on Currency amount and AmountYou cannot directly update tab accounting_balance_tab with the correct posting_combination_id as posting_combination_id is a primary key to correct the voucher in the Database.Our only solution i
Hello to the communityI am trying to transfer to cost accounting the project postings but get the error “activity sequence number must have a value”. Do you by any chance know how i could get a default activity sequence number on my posting lines when the code part “project” depends on posting control and not preposting? The PRJT2 and PRJT6 are setup to have project according to employee category, but no sequence number is mapped on posting line, and the error comes from the fact that it does not have a value; i tried to exclude from project follow up the 2 accounts used in PRJT2/6 but then the project no longer comes from the posting control defined but is the same as preposting. Hi all, I am trying to reference an incident (Event) in ETM via the Event Ref and Event Type field (I cannot use the Event ID) but ETM keeps throwing an error … The database and the wiki appear to show the int 4 as a valid value. HiHave an issue with the time not appearing on the “Absence Calendar > New Absence Plan/Request” screen when we are requesting a “Part Day” absence. So we want to be able to book an absence for just part of a day (ie a number of hours) but when we select the “Part Day” button only the date appears - not the time. When we click on the calendar icon we also don’t get the “time bar” appear next to the date to select from there. This is working fine for some users but not others. It’s a bit random. See screenshot below of what it SHOULD look like. Any help welcome :-)
I am seeing there is a Component Summarized Where Used table in IFS and I am wondering how this information gets updated? We have a part that if you look up on the “Component Where Used” screen does in fact show parent parts. I read on the help page that in order to show here it must have a part cost. The part was added after our go-live, and it was originally missing a cost, but I have it valued now. However, it is still not showing up on the “Component Summarized Where Used” screen. Is there a job that has to run to update this information?

There is any option how to consume Information Source/Access View via REST API?I know that Information Source can be used in IFS Business Reporter and Access View I can read from database via IFSINFO user.But there is any other option? I mean eg. wrap Access View to Projection Configuration? I tried it but Access View cannot be used in Projection Configuration.Is any chance how to publish Information Source/Access View via REST API only by tailoring, without programming standard customization?Thanks. Hi,I am trying to invoke a REST endpoint using OAuth2 Client credentials in IFS Cloud 22R2. But it ends up with a 401 Unauthorized access error.It works in Postman for the below configuration.Does anyone have an idea of what I am missing? Or anything else that I could check to figure out what is going wrong? Any help is much appreciated.I’ve tried out some of the things mentioned in earlier community posts, but with no luck yet. One thing I could notice was that the “Client Authentication” in Postman config is set as “Send as Basic Auth Header” and when I changed it to “Send client credentials in body” the retrieval of the token didn’t work and I wonder if IFS by default use that Client Authentication type. Hi experts,I see two types of main error in Customer as below. regarding the error 1, what can we do to sort this, it seems this is happening when there is no DB record but we see many such errors. Does that means data got deleted? Regarding error 2.Can we ignore failes appliction messages connected to mobiles if the same marked as completed in Sync transaction screen as stated in below post, if I am not mistaken? Here’s my scenario… Technician 1 completes Activity 1 using an incomplete stop code and completes the checklist associated with Activity 1. Technician 1 then reassigns the service call to Technician 2. I need Technician 2 to be able to see the checklist answers from Activity 1. Any suggestions on how to make this happen? We can see them in the web portal, but it would be ideal for the tech to be able to view in Mobile.
