Hi all,While working with ProjectsHandling projection in Apps 10 environment I came across an issue with serialization when one of the field values contains carriage return character. <ERROR>{"error":{"code":"ODP_SERIALIZATION_ERROR","message":"Error while serializing contents."}}</ERROR>https://<host>:<port>/main/ifsapplications/projection/v1/ProjectsHandling.svc/ProjectsIn my case, the field which has the bad data is ‘BaselineRevisionComment’. Everything works okay if this field is not selected in the OData query. Aurena Client is also breaking when this particular Project having bad data is selected. Did anyone experience this before? In Apps 9...I would like to know how and what criteria needs to be done to use this option from the RMB menu of a purchase order. I know all about setting up an event action triggered off the PDF_REPORT_CREATED - but this is not what I want as that would be something that is triggered upon every PO printed and not just when I select the menu item while on a certain PO. Has anyone used this feature and can help explain it a little to me?

We are in the final stages of Aurena Apps 10 implementation and I work in CRM and Call Center and I want to make sure we have all understood the sales roles correctly. If I create a quote or an order, I think: the coordinator creates the quote/order, but is not responsible for it the representative is responsible for the quote/order the main representative is the representative’s senior and can override their work the salesperson can be internal (colleague) or external (e.g. reseller)Is this right? Hi,I’m trying to move our SMTP from our on premise exchange to O365… I’m trying to use smtp.outlook365 as the SMTP host, ive tried port 25 and 587 but nothing works..someone mentioned that they used a mail.protection.outlook.com host and port 25 which sort of works for internal addresses but i still cant send external…has anyone successfully got this working? what settings have you used? Hi all,Some time ago we figured out who to batch print work instruction (using pl/sql).Batch print Work Instructions for Shop Orders, IFS9The solution has been working great. And now we would like to print the attachments too. We have our files with connection to routing head. But they will not automatically be printed because they have to be on routing guidelines. We solved that with a custom OCT to routing head. When using the IFS RMB for printing, it is working: However, it is not working from pl/sql when I add this parameter:client_sys.Add_To_Attr('PRINT_MEDIA_ITEMS', 'Yes', parameter_attr_);It is obvious why it is not working (we are on the server). But does anyone have an idea, on how to get the attachment printed without the pop-ups?
Hi,Please can you provide information on the below issue we are seeing across our estate while rolling out Microsoft Edge.We are using IFS Apps 8.IFS Users use Edge to open IFS with ClickOne and are now seeing this additional pop up: We would rather that a User not be forced each time to go through this step and click Open.Our infrastructure engineers have confirmed that the GPO settings that manage the Microsoft Edge browser are compliant with Microsoft Security Guidelines and have tested to the limit their solutions. Hi,We are looking into using custom application messages to create and receive XML files in order to make an integration to an external customer system. My initial thought was to create a custom plsql api package to fetch to correct data from the database, and then create the application messages by using the Connectivity_SYS, Plsqlap_Record_API and Plsqlap_Server_API api packages. Then also set up the correct transformers, rules and adresses in the solution manager. Something important I am missing? Furthermore, I noticed some functions in IFS Developer Studio, which is called BizAPI Model and Transformer Model. Is this something that can be used for this purpose? I don’t find the documentation especially helpful, so it would be great with some help to get started. Some examples would also be great. Is there other things I need to keep in mind while setting up the integration?
Hello, Our company has been utilizing Microsoft Power Apps for a while now and we’ve created several Power Apps over time and we think utilizing Microsoft Power Apps would be useful for creating applications for our users who also may need to retrieve or enter data into IFS Application 10 Update 8 and higher. We are thinking about creating applications which would integrate with the IFS HR Onboarding and Training, Call Center, NCR and Corrective and Preventative Action modules. Has anyone created a Microsoft Power App which integrates with IFS and could you share how you created it and utilize your application. We are just beginning to research this topic. I’ve seen this community post but there isn’t much details in it. We’d really like to look at a sample application so we can understand how to support having our users log into IFS from the Power App. We use Azure AD and have IFS configured to utilize this as well. A sample application would go a long way to helping us understand
Is there a way within IFS to have charges on an invoice show as actual “charges” versus a line item in the INVOIC XML file? As an example, when an invoice for a customer order with a freight charge, drop ship fee, etc. is printed, the charges show at the bottom of the invoice after the line item; where as the INVOIC XML file for the same invoice shows the charges as an additional line item on the order (see screenshot). This causes issues when the X12 810 Invoice is generated as the charges are listed as lines versus in an SAC (securities, promotions, allowance, or charge information) segment. I checked the XML file for the INVOIC within IFS Apps 9 and there is not a section for charges. I’m sure other IFS customers must have experienced this at some point so I’m hoping there is a way to correct this without rebuilding the INVOIC XML schema.
Is there a way to make a Supplier Payment in Advance of the goods being received and which can subsequently be matched to the invoice when the goods are receipted? There are very limited instances where this is required to be done, nevertheless it would be useful to know if there is a way it can be done in IFS to mitigate the manual monitoring required to confirm the goods have been received after payment. Hi, We’re having a lot of trouble with our Start Pages/Saved Searches in Apps 10 UPD4 (happened before UPD4 as well). They load fine at first, but if a user tries to refresh them (after a few minutes), they return ?’s instead of the number of hits. This is just one example, but it happens on many queries/profiles/permission sets/start pages/etc: I created a test start page with a simple query (I believe it’s simple, anyway, I’m unfortunately not very knowledgeable with SQL) The first time I opened this test start page, it loaded fine (all 1’s for the result). Now when I refresh after about 10-15 minutes of waiting on this screen, some will error out: This happens on start pages that don’t have duplicates like this, if that matters. Hi,Using Apps10 UPD8.Background jobs are stuck in Posted status and not getting executed in any of Queues.If I run Transaction_sys.Process_all_pending for a particular queue manually via plsql then it process the jobs in that queue but only for that time. So every time to execute the jobs in queue i have to run it manually for the queue I want to process.Already checked below:Job Queue processes value is fine in database. CJQ0 backgorund process is running. Batch Queues are enabled. Done Init All Queues and individual batch queue. No jobs stuck in Executing State. Restarted Database and IFS MWS servers.Issue is coming in Prod environment. Will appreciate the quick response.
We purchase a part from an OEM who always supplies 3 different physical items in a box. When the box of 3 physical items arrives, we would like to receive 3 separate part numbers into stock, instead of receiving the “kit” part that we ordered from the OEM into stock. If we try to purchase the 3 individual pieces from the OEM, they charge extra to break out each item into individual pieces. We need to receive each item into stock individually because the pieces are components on different shop orders. Any Ideas? Thanks in advance!
