Hi. We are using IFS10. I am trying to understand the cashflow forecasting tool. Is there a user guide as to the information selected and where it comes from? In particular I am looking at the ‘event date’. We have some open authorised Purchase orders that have been released, showing as cash flow forecast status 4, cash flow type IFS_PURORD, the planned/wanted/promise dates/delivery dates are all in the future (March/April/August 2024 and beyond) however the event date is pulling back as this week and therefore the slot date is this week . Does this report also take into account payment terms on supplier accounts? ie age when the cash will be due for payment based on the terms agreed with the supplier and showing against the supplier account. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks
We are on IFS Apps9.Using SSRS to replace some IFS operational reports.We intermittently have SSRS operational reports fail in the IFS Print Manager. I have a saved search that I use to find them and restart them, to get them to print. Is there anyway to troubleshoot why the print jobs are failing and resolve the issue?
We are working on moving to standard costing from weighted average and in our analysis, we do have a question on explaining why doesn’t Cum Qty per Assembly <> Qty per assembly? What condition causes this? Please see the example below: Both part numbers 11032 & 11033 have 1 unit per assembly but the cumulative Qty per assembly = 0. When adding on to the Total Cost to next level, it therefore does not take into account the cumulated level cost even though the unit cost has a cost. Part# 11033 - unit cost = .9994 x cum qty per assembly = 0 = 0. So the Total cost to next level just carries over the cost level from part# 11007 =.73So, I guess the question is if there is a qty per assembly value (1 in this case), why does it not carry over to the Cumulative Qty Per Assembly (0 is this case)? Before I log this in LCS, I thought I’d post it here in case someone has also seen this and has a solution!I have been getting the attached error on both FSM6 update 7 and update 8 (I have not seen it on update 6). I have created a new mobile design and have created a couple of non related client scripts. The sequence is as follows:Install app on mobile (iOS or Android - fails on both) and activate (or initialise an existing installation)From Home screen tap Jobs to go to the JobList screen - all OK - no errorsGo to Design Screen (JobList)Refresh ScriptsPreviewFrom Home Screen tap Jobs to go to the JobList screen - get the attached errorThis now always happens until an init as above.Note the error is referencing the baseline script although if I replace the script with a custom version with the same code, then the same error occurs. If the Field Service baseline design is used, the same thing happens.
We have an issue on the Customer Portal where we can see thumbnails of image attachments, but cant retrieve the actual file (or any file attachment type for that matter), it seems to lock up for a while then get an error when trying to open it. I am assuming that it can ‘read’ the file (or at least the thumbs.db in that folder) for it to be able to show the Thumbnail, or does it produce a Thumbnail via another method. I am trying to understand why it can retrieve a thumbnail but not the actual file?

Hello Currently, we have some automatic MPL vouchers hitting a non-ledger account (account 1270 Manual WIP) monthly which should be hitting a ledger account (account 1271 WIP) . So we do a manual external voucher to move these transactions to the ledger account . We would like to cut down on this extra manual entry. Is it possible to write some sort of script in IFS that automatically creates and posts this external voucher to move those transactions that hit the non-ledger account to the ledger account?
I created a custom field on the customer window “Prepaid Customer” with True and False values. I referenced the “Cf_Prepaid_Customer” key on the validation workflow condition. The BPA inspection tool does not read the “True” value on this custom field when it is “turned on” on the customer screen.
Is it possible in IFS 10 to make it so credit limits do not consider future orders against a customers balance available. Just invoiced orders. Thanks!~

We would like to be able to assign shop order labor to expense and not to the balance sheet. Example. Shop order has two components – a part and 2 hr of labor: Material $100 Labor $20 The goal is to have $100 in Finished Goods (balance sheet) when the shop order is complete and $20 on a P&L account. With the current setup, the labor cost rolls into inventory cost, which results in the total of $120 going into inventory. Since we are not sure what makes up the current set up - we don’t know what needs to be changed in IFS. Any ideas on set up/configuration that needs to be done to accomplish our example?
When going to the web-based administration site for Touch Apps for one of our instances, we are unable to login. The error seems obvious - remote certificate is invalid according to the validation procedure. But multiple people have looked at the cert and it all looks good. Maybe we’re missing something. Does anyone have any tips on checking the cert? Has anyone else gotten this when it isn’t the cert? We’ve had no issue with our other instances, so it’s not as if we haven’t been through a cert install, etc., before.
Hi,I’d like to create a lobby element with a field which has no SQL column. The column represents the projected quantity of an item, and can be found in Inventory Part Availability Planning > Availability Check per Day. Ideally, I would use this column to show a list of all items which are projected to have a negative quantity in the next two weeks. However, the column is a calculated aggregate value, where on each date the demand quantity is subtracted and the supply quantity is added.Is there a way of storing the projected value as a custom field? or perhaps calculating it within a SQL query for a data source? In window “Work Task” there is two tabs called “General” and “Object”.In the tab “Object” i want to adjust the Layout regarding the segment “Action and Information”I just want to move it up further in the window.The problem is that we also using this in Tab “General” and in that window, i dont want it to be moved.But since this two windows seems to be connected, i dont know how to just move Action and Information” in only tab “Object”. It is also affecting tab “General”. Anyone know how to make it work?
Hi, This is a problem which started occurring suddenly in our production. None of the managers can see the time reporting's done by their subordinates (They are trying to access in the Authorize window under time management). If anyone has experienced this please give some tips. Thank youChaminda
When we 'View' a document in IFS, it is being saved in the IFS checkout path e.g. for me, it is in my C drive, but the file is never deleted from that location. Can we remove the cache from IFS as we don't want these documents to be stored in a temporary file path upon viewing them?
Hi Team, Could be possible create a new project copying from other (used as template) including in the copy the workorders related to each activity ??Obviously creating new workorders, equivalent to those of the template project.The intention is avoid a process of:Copy of Project and Activities Copy of WorkOrders. Hi Community. we have only a few employees unable to clock onto shop order operations due to the error message below about being unable to get costs from the labour class.the operators are in the correct labour classes and are active shopfloor employees connected to the correct site.we have recently created new manufacturing labour classes and update the labour costs and the issue has only happened since then. Other employees are able to clock onto the operation without any problems.Any ideas what could be causing this for a certain few employees? regards Jamie
We have IFS 9The following picture shows the organizational structure that I have created.present, faultyEmployee A03 is in the DEP_10000 department. Employee A04 is in the DEP_11000 department. DEP_11000 is a subdepartment of DEP_10000. Employee A03 is the manager of the DEP_11000 department. In this way, the manager of the A04 employee is the A03 employee.I could not implement this structure in the organizational chart.And I'm just at the beginning. For example; 3 of the 5 employees in a department have subordinate departments, 2 of them have no subordinate departments. There are many such structures.
