There is a checkbox “Use Part Catalog Description as Description for Inventory Part” under Inventory Part à Inventory Part identification tab which seems just a display of the checkbox for “Use Part Catalog Description as Description for Inventory Part” from the path i.e. Site à Extended Site Info à Inventory à General path for the field.We are not able to control the checkbox from an Inventory Part à Inventory Part Identification tab for a single part and if we uncheck that checkbox from the Site then the rule is applied for all inventory parts and it allow users to change the text in inventory part description for all parts.The requirement to change Inventory Part Description for some parts without changing the part description in Part Catalog field and without changing the setup in Site à Extended Site Info à Inventory à General path for the field “Use Part Catalog Description as Description for Inventory Part”.
Community, I have a question here, not sure how to fix it.I have a project delivery created and I calculate the cost at in Project Item Navigator window. please see attachment “Project Delivery 6388307 Cost Roll Up”, so in this window, you can see the roll up cost $1758.2874, which is correct, please refer to the second screenshot “ 6388307 Standard Cost”. now comes the question, why there is only one cost element “MATERIALS” available in the Project Item Navigator window, per the item standard cost, it should include at least Labor cost element, whereas it is not.wondering how to fix it? posting control? Hi, I am using IFS Enterprise Explorer. Client vers: 9.0.57.0, Server vers:6.90.20.0 I am a new to the application - with little training, so I am sorry this should be a veryy easy question. I would appreciate some orientation around the ’Structure in Tree’ dropdown options for (I am assuming) ...ordering the Object Hierachy. See the attached picture. I seem to have (by default)... an Object ID ordered Hierarchy. The Dropdown for ‘Structure in Tree’, displays ‘Location’ and ‘Process’ fields (amongst others). I would like to know where these fields are exposed in case I can edit them to display the Hierarchy more intuitivelyI am aware that I could add Structural Parent Objects (and provide Alphanumeric ID codes) however it seems from the drop down and from other answers in the knowledgebase that options for re-ordering the tree are already available .. I have Serial and Functional Objects, and have been looking in the Serial Object and FUnctional Object Tabs (to the right of the Tree),
We have a number of projects that we keep getting an error stating 'Project cannot be completed until all active acquisition values referring to this project has been moved in IFS|Fixed Asset.'The process to follow to get the error is:Go to Financials|Project Accounting|Project, then search for one of the projects, RMB and select Rollback Sub Project Completion. Complete the necessary fields on the window and click ok, this is when we then get the error.In Object Transactions Analysis window those objects/FA records are with object transaction value type as "Acquisition" and status as "Ready". Hi i am looking for an instruction how to do a elimination of interim results. Is there an automatic way or is the elimination fo interim results a manual adjustment? A profit within the same Group must be eliminated. For Example Company A sells Goods to company B for 150’000 EUR. Cost of good sold in Company a would be 130’000 EUR. This means 20’000 EUR must be eliminated during the consolidation. BRSophal

Currently they are using SAP project module for this purpose and they would like to change into IFS project management module.They define the structure of project/sub-project/activities based on their requirement. They face the issue of managing activities because of the assumed number of required activities. Hello,We are trying to test IFS Cloud Project Management features based on some of our large-scale project work for next year. I’ve created a 30,000 task project in Microsoft project and I’m trying to import it into IFS. If I keep trimming down the tasks of the project, I can eventually get it to import. It usually works somewhere below 1000 tasks. (Note: operations are not related to tasks.) Is there some kind of limit setting that we can adjust to get this to work?Error: The current change set contains too many operations. Only change sets with a maximum number of ‘1000’ operations are allowed. Does someone know where we might be missing a setting? Is it in IFS or MSProject? Thank you,Joann

Hello, has anyone had to deal with this problem? We have lots of different parts that use the same raw material and are all manufactured using the same machine. To make an efficient process, we would like to “batch” all the shop orders that use a specific component so we can make those parts in one hit. Then “batch” another set of shop orders that use a different raw material and make those. These manufactured parts are then used to make another assembly.OP Blocks doesnt seem to fit this scenario as we are not wanting to batch operations but batch at the shop order level.And because we making a large qty of the parts that use the raw material, we would prefer to book labor at the batch level not on each individual shop order and let IFS apportion the labor across all the shop orders in that batch.Grateful for any comments, etc. Thanks in advance. This is being done in Cloud.

Hi, we are using apps 10 and would like to know if there is a way to block the reserving and issuing of material from either a specific location, location group or warehouse but still be able to receive parts to those location?couldn't see any check boxes on the Warehouse navigator or inventory locations.The reason for this requirement is we are looking into the shop floor employees issuing there own liquid raw material (paint) after processing a shop order but when using the ‘Manual Issue’ option on the work bench is allows the operator to issue material from all locations including the paint stores which we are trying to stop.regardsJamie

Hi,Is there a way to have a picklist generated and reported for a shop order but not have it automatically issue to the shop order? We have distinct separation between the operators who pick the stock and the operators who use the stock.We would like the responsibility of issuing to the shop order to sit with the person using the stock.
