My company is having an issue. At the moment, we are testing APPS10 with an expected go live date in November. Since testing, with a very limited set of users, we have noticed that some are getting .dll errors for pages they frequent. One day during testing they can see it, the next they can’t. In apps 9, the user could technically cause a .dll error if they cancel out of the download at the bottom when they first go to the page. In 10, there is no cancel button available when downloading the package to view the page (good improvement). We did some testing. While troubleshooting I moved the .dll file that the page was complaining about to a separate folder > went to “download all packages” > IFS realized it was missing 1 package and downloaded it > but we still can’t see the page until we delete everything out of the 2.0 folder. The only help I’ve gotten from IFS is to clear the cache which is essentially the equivalent of an uninstall/reinstall of the instance since it delete
My company is wanting to set suppliers inactive and we know how to set the expiration date on the Purchase Tab > Misc Supplier Info sub-tab but the definition of the field says “The date after which details of the supplier are not to be retained. The expiration date only controls the creation of new transactions in the system for the supplier”. The first bit is what’s throwing us through a loop. Does this mean that IFS will purge the historical records of the supplier (e.g. purchase orders, invoices, etc.)?
We would like to print a pro forma invoice for a given shipment but the option is grayed out. The shipment is in “Completed” status and we’d either like to print it manually by RMB in the header of the shipment > Print Pro Forma Invoice OR have it as an optional event for the shipment type. The help says that this should be as easy as RMB in the header and clicking Print Pro Forma invoice and the only prerequisites are as follows: The shipment must be in Complete or Closed status before you can print the shipment pro forma invoice. In order to print the customs value it must be manually defined for each customer order line. The customs statistics number will be printed for both inventory and non-inventory sales parts as well as package parts, when defined in the respective inventory part, non-inventory sales part and package part records. The net weight will be printed for both inventory and non-inventory sales parts as well as package parts, when defined in the respective sales
We’ve discovered an issue from the looks of it between the net weight entered on the part catalog and the total net weight on the customer order. Our general rule for the part catalog UOM is that we match the inventory UOM as there is no conversion (that we know of) between the part catalog record and the inventory part record. We tend to set our inventory parts up as to how we are going to store/consume the product which we believe is best practice.Either way, one of our parts net weight for a CS (which is our inventory UOM and Part UOM) is 220 lbs. We have this setup to SELL in EA (we have 200 EA/CS and 1 EA is .005 of a CS). What happened is, our customer, who also orders in eaches, put in a desired qty of 2000. It looks like the conversion is not looked at as the total net weight of the order turned out to be 440,000 lbs when it should have been a total of 2,200 lbs. I can get to this number if I multiply the qty requested (220 lbs * .005 conversion gives me my EA weight then multi
Our purchasing department would like to know if it is intended that the Purchase Order Lines overview screen is not editable? I’m in IT so I have access to everything and I can’t modify this screen. My reasoning I gave her that you can’t do mass changes on this (e.g. change all the dates or change the inspection criteria) is because this view PURCHASE_ORDER_LINES_ALL combines both no part order lines and part order lines views. So maybe because of this and no part order lines having different primary keys than part order lines that maybe this is why? If someone could give me a reason or tell me that this screen is editable and I’m missing something, that would be very helpful.
We are moving our Accounting department to Aurena and we have come to terms with the fact that we’re losing the “Customer Payments” screen and instead are going to enter “Mixed Payments” now. I agree that it makes sense to have one screen for Payments in IFS. This said, we have a specific scenario that we don’t see covered with this screen. Sometimes a customer will pay ahead without an invoice number, so it’s just a credit on their account. There is a checkbox on the Customer Payment > Transactions that says “New Payment On Account”. How would we do this same functionality using Mixed Payments? We don’t see a column for “New Payment on Account” on the Mixed Payments screen in Aurena.
We have written a function that will create a list of orders as document text on the shipment header with a document text output type that allows printing on “Customer Debit Invoices” and “Customer Credit Invoices”. We thought that if we mirrored the setup of other document output types that print on invoices that simply adding document text to the header of the shipment with order details etc, would print. This is not the case. The collective invoice is only pulling in document text that has been specified on the customer order it seems. Is there something different that I’m missing as to why it won’t pull in document text from the shipment header into a collective invoice?
We have a user that when they try to open this file in Aurena, it won’t open. This is the error they are receiving. They can open other documents but not this one and I can open this document so it’s not document format related. They can also open it in IEE, just not in Aurena. This is the only document they’ve come across that won’t open and always gives this error in Aurena. Any troubleshooting steps will help. When extracting the specific errors it’s throwing, there is an error that says “This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below.” The more puzzling issue is that this is an Adobe file.
So I’ve just had a department here go live on Aurena (Apps 10) and they noticed that in Aurena, we no longer get a prompt or warning when we are about to view an obsolete document. Are there plans to change this or is this fixed in cloud? Basically our users have to be extra diligent when looking at document revisions to open the correct “released” document. IEE functionality today informs us that the document we are about to view is obsolete.View Document in Aurena just downloads the document and doesn’t warn us that the document is obsolete.
So my company is on apps 10 upd 18 and we are migrating to Cloud here very soon. I have an open ticket right now about an issue that we discovered in Aurena apps 10. We have enabled attachments on the Payment tab of the supplier. We attach various payment information about the vendor here for reference. This said, what we discovered is that once we moved our accounting department over to Aurena, that the attachments weren’t showing up. The reason for this, we’ve discovered is that the attachments pane is only showing “header” level attachments and is no longer contextual to what you’re clicked on. In my ticket, I was told that this is a “limitation of the Aurena interface” and that a work around was to go to “document object connection” to view attached documents. I was also told that this community post was “already opened” but this is a different issue. We have been using attachments on the supplier payment tab for 4 years. Is this a known issue? In IFS 10 Aurena, we’ve just kicked off our QC dept and what we found is that entering analysis results is very tedious because we have to enter one line at a time instead of it being a table view that we can enter in each variable at the same time. Is there an overview screen to look at the inspection results for an Analysis Result for a shop order in Aurena Cloud? Basically, is this screen or interface any better in cloud than it is in Aurena 10? IFS 10 Analysis Result, I can just click in the next one and enter results. At the top when I’m done, we “Complete All Registered Results”.Aurena 10, We can only “Enter and View Results” for one Analysis result line at a time. If I highlight multiple, I can’t look at multiple and I can’t enter results on this overview. It takes us 10 minutes each time we have to register inspection results in Aurena 10 in comparison to IEE.
We are on Apps 10 UPD 14 and one of our departments is using Aurena at the moment. We’re having an issue with the approvals panel. The notes get cut off. This field in IEE is 2000 characters long but when the step is approved in Aurena, you can’t see what the notes say. Is there a way to change this behavior? Can I modify the attachments pane approval tab to have the cards show custom fields? I’ve looked at this for a while and I can’t figure it out. Notes are cut off. Text does not wrap and once the step is approved, you can’t view the entire note.
I’m trying to create a shortcut in Aurena that has a saved search so when our operators click the shortcut, Aurena pulls the data in based on what I have in the search criteria, like we can do today in IEE. Any help is appreciated. There is a “filter” option but I don’t seem to be able to modify this when creating the bookmark. I’d like to be able to when I create the bookmark, that it picks up the criteria that I have specified on the page.
Our users have noticed that in order to view analysis results in Aurena (Apps 10) that they have to go from the Shop Order to the Analysis for the shop order and they have to click on each individual line to see the results. Is there not an overview that will show analysis results in Aurena? Shop Order Analysis Result makes you drill into each Analysis Result Line to see the result. There is no column that I can pull the result into this table view.IEE there is a screen called “Analysis Results - Shop Order”. From here, users can see and enter ALL results for a particular shop order.
We’re moving our shipping department to Aurena (Apps 10, UPD 18) and we can’t find a menu that we use on the “Report Picking of Pick List Lines” screen. This option does not seem to be available on this screen in Aurena. How would we do the below action in Aurena today? IEE Create Reservations On Another Location The only options available are Report Picking and Unreserve
I’m looking for a screen that shows demand against package parts. It won’t show under the “inventory part availability planning” screen because these are picked to order. How would I see all open customer order lines for a package part and demand for the components in IFS? Do I have to look by component to see demand?
We are rolling out Aurena apps 10 upd 18 to our user base and we have found that clickable hyperlinks in streams in Aurena do not work. In cloud, can you create a hyperlink that takes you to the page the stream pertains to like they are in IEE today?
We’ve noticed that in IFS10 Aurena, you can’t sort any table like you can today in IEE. There is an explicit sort on the due date on the IPAP screen which is how it should show on load but we don’t like the idea of having to export the data to excel and add a filter to it to group orders together. We used to be able to click in the column header and sort the column but now on this screen, we can’t do this. We also can’t filter this table (search in context).Is this fixed in cloud or are we doomed to exporting to excel?
My company is trying to get more users over to our Aurena environment and one of the things we are testing is the shop floor workbench at the moment. We noticed that there is a button already labeled “scrap” which is actually “Scrap Part” in IEE. We have moved “Scrap Component” out from under the drop down menu to a button menu next to “Scrap” (which I have relabeled (“Scrap Finished Good”). Is there a way for me to configure the new menu item to have a trash can icon next to it and be a different color like “Scrap” is displayed? I just don’t want it to look like a regular menu item.
I posted this question before but the conversation has gone stale so I’m posting it again.. Can we do “search in context” in IFS Aurena (cloud) on the IPAP screen like we can in IEE?The reply that I got was not on the IPAP screen but another one, if you post screenshots please verify that we can sort and filter on the IPAP screen. I know that search in context is available elsewhere.
We are upgrading to cloud and we read a community post that hinted that IFS was making customer change their app owner names from a custom name defined in the interface to IFSAPP. Is this true? If not is this “recommended”? Does IFS support have a standard document that would guide us in the right direction in making a decision?Our technical resource said that when he was running the pre-scripts that he was able to modify them to account for our custom app owner name. If it helps we are going to be a remote installation (on-prem).
I have a user who is trying to connect to Trip Tracker 10 and every time he authenticates, it throws an error “unable to connect to IFS 10 Trip Tracker cloud”. We do not have trip tracker cloud enabled but where does this setting live on the phone? We’ve looked in settings under the app and everything and we can’t find a “cloud” slider to slide off. This user has an iPhone7+. To my knowledge there is no such thing as “cloud” being an option to turn on for Trip Tracker 10.
We have a custom menu that we use that calls a custom procedure that we wrote in house. Today, in IEE, this menu is setup with a PL/SQL Block that calls our custom package. Does anyone have an idea of how we could do this in cloud?We have a background job that runs today along with this menu item. Could I set it up to call the db task instead? We normally just have the users RMB and then click this menu item and it starts the background job without taking them off of this screen.
My company has been having an issue with a single part when we manually issue it to a shop order. This isn’t consistent for this one part, meaning one moment it will take 5 minutes to save the page when manually issuing and the other moment it is instantaneous. To troubleshoot this, we created a separate part from scratch that was the same without using the “copy part” functionality and we found that for a bit this was working, manually issuing was instantaneous, but eventually we were back to that new part taking around 5 minutes to manually issue. We ran a debug session to see what exactly is the hold up and it shows that one API (&AO.Shop_Ord_Util_API.Manual_Issue) took around 100k ms to complete. Has anyone else had this problem and how did you fix it?Again, this is for one part. We have more than a handful of similar parts that are setup the exact same way that don’t have this problem.Any help is appreciated.
We are currently on apps 10 upd 18 Aurena and in the middle of a cloud upgrade. We’ve noticed in apps 10 that the Inventory Part Usage Tracing page doesn’t load when you click it from the navigator. It’s like there’s no URL under the page.I can RMB on Inventory Transaction History and see “Open link in new tab”When I RMB on Inventory Part Usage Tracing in the navigator it shows me the menu that looks like I’m not clicked on a link. Does anyone else have this issue? Eventually after clicking it (~10 mins of waiting) it will load but there is no indication on the screen that it’s loading.
