Does anyone know what it is that determines whether or not you see a document preview in top right of Instant Authorization screen? Many thanks!

Is there any way to exist check in migration rule?

Hello,I created a migration for insert rows to product structure. But i need to exist check on migration rules or something like that. Because when i use twice same migration about my case, the rows created twice. So i dont want to do this.I need a little bit help for avoid this situation. If the row values are exist than it should try to only modify instead of new.Best regards.

Supplier Expiration Date

My company is wanting to set suppliers inactive and we know how to set the expiration date on the Purchase Tab > Misc Supplier Info sub-tab but the definition of the field says “The date after which details of the supplier are not to be retained. The expiration date only controls the creation of new transactions in the system for the supplier”. The first bit is what’s throwing us through a loop. Does this mean that IFS will purge the historical records of the supplier (e.g. purchase orders, invoices, etc.)?

Configuration Package does not overwrite

I am doing an upgrade of custom events and fields in Applications 10. I have two instances of Apps 10: In one instance I am adding all the custom events and custom fields to configuration packages. I am then importing those package in another instance of Apps10. The custom events in the packages already exist in the Apps10 instance I am importing them to. However when I import them it tells me that the custom event already exists (which is true) and in the case of the custom fields it does not overwrite the the existing field, it creates a new one with “_2” appended to the name.When I was creating the packages there wasn’t a setting to allow me to overwrite the object I am exporting if it already exists in the IFS instance that I import it to. Likewise when i imported the package I was not given the option to overwrite the object if it already exists. Is this the way Configuration Packages work? It isn’t possible for me to delete all the objects in the db before the import.

Person ID/User ID

Afternoon all, I have come across an issue that I am sure has plagued others before. Way back in the heady days of 7.5 being implemented the business made a decision to opt out of a numerical ID system for our Person and User ID records. Instead we opted for <First Initial><Surname> e.g. NTAYLOR. The problem we have is that one of our users got married and now the Person ID and User ID do not reflect her now taken name and has asked if we can update the Person ID/User ID to correctly reflect her new surname. As these are somewhat key fields within the system I am pretty sure there isn’t a standard way of achieving this as it would need to flush the entire system to update everything that was ever posted with these ID’s. If anyone knows of a way how to do this or (for the IFS employees) if a data fix exists for this kind of change it would be interesting to know! Regards Nathan

How to capture IFS Session's Logoff timestamp

Hi,Is there any way to capture the timestamp once Users close their IFS IEE Session?We are trying to create a Quick Report to calculate total login time for IFS Users.I can capture the LOGON time using IFS or Oracle views. However, capturing LOGOFF time is proving to be challenging as IFS doesn’t disconnect the backend Oracle session immediately, so there is no LOGOFF event recorded at the point of session disconnection. Any help or pointers in this regard is appreciated.TIA,Sri

We have a scanario which the order line price is too low in the EDI message. We would like to generate a 855 to indicate the order is reject due to the price is too low. Is there a way to do that?

Solutions for the mutating problem

Hi all, I constantly have to deal with the mutating table error when creating events. Usually I need to: Save (F12) Run some PLSQL in an custom change event (mutating if same table involved) The only solution I know, is to start a background job. However, for some scenarios I need the code to run “online” or lock the UI until the job has executed. Does anyone has some solutions for this?

Hi,I want create task automatically based on product selection Bill of material.Suppose if i selected product in request and if that product model or task has BOM,task needs to be created for each model/ part in BOM.I am able create task for product when it is selected in request through XML business rule, is their any way i can create tasks for BOM also,Please suggest. Aurena Time Clock

We currently have IFS Application 10 Update 8 installed in our environment and we plan on moving from IFS Enterprise Explorer to Aurena in the coming months. I’ve been playing with the Aurena environment and I haven’t been able to locate the Time Clock terminal within Aurena. Do anyone know if IFS as ported the Time Clock terminal to the Aurena client or do we need to wait until a future IFS Application 10 Update packag? Thank you,William Klotz

Can delete Work Task Step off Work Task Template with Revision Control enabled

Hi, we have a Work Task Template with Revision Control enabled on it.On the Active revision, IFS correctly restricts the ability to add new lines into Work Task Steps etc., however it allows Work Task Steps to be deleted on the current Active revision.Shouldn’t revision control prevent Work Task Steps from being deleted from an active revision Work Task Template, or is this normal and why?Running Apps 10 Update 6.

Apps 9 UD14 - monthly invoicing support services (call center)

Hi, We are about to implement Call Center for our internal and external support teams. What I’d like to know is how other users are handling periodical invoicing of base services (fixed monthly fee). Basically we would like to make it simple and possibly automate the invoicing as much as possible.One possibility is to use Service Contract, and its periodical invoicing feature. However is do not have connection to actual Support Agreement, and is quite complicated for simple contracts, where there is only one or two service lines.At the moment we are using Customer Order where coordinator is creating one order for contract period (or year) with lines for each month and invoice lines one by one..I’m quite sure that other companies has had similar questions and would like to know how others have solved this?

Lobby Element Drill-Down Loading all CustOrd

We have a Counter lobby element that when we drill-down it is loading all CustomerOrders- not just the ones for the SQL behind this element.The SQL uses an IAL - RW_ORDERS_SHIPPED_TODAY2, which is built on another IAL (RW_ORDERS_SHIPPED_TODAY).I’ve done other lobbies where the drill-down works, so I don’t see what’s different with this one, unless somehow IALs aren’t recognized? select count(*) from ifsinfo.RW_ORDERS_SHIPPED_TODAY2where contract = 'W'
