Hi All, We are using IFS 8 SP2 Foundation, We have recently applied the binary patch of 4.80.67.0 and we observed due to this patch the zoom functionality of Custom Field(Persistent and Reference Type) has stopped working and throwing an error “Invalid Identifier”. Has anyone faced similar issue and able to find a solution from IFS. Do let me know. Please see below query of a reference custom field when we use zoom in a screen. SSRS install for IFS9

Has anyone gone through this install process? I’m still waiting on IFS to get me the files (I have heard nothing from them for weeks) but really need to get this moving. Any tips? I’ve heard the install can be tricky. Does this module require a separate purchase?

RESEND INVOICE ERROR

Hope someone can help me, Resend invoice is not working on Apps10, UPD6, can not get xml file to the output folder Can not search any application message related this transaction. Any file was created on Connectivity inbox. Last month we migrated from 7.5 version to IFS10 so don’t know why doesn’t work.

ORA-00376: file 57 cannot be read at this time

Hello, I try to migrate documents from IFS 7.5 to IFS10, but during this process ( PL/SQL script ) for some documents I get Oracle error ORA-00376. Does anyone experience this error ? Migrating Demand Planner Server from Windows Server 2008 to 2012

Hi, I am trying to migrate Apps 8 Demand Planner Server (DPS) from WS 2008 to 2012 R2. I checked IFS Platform Documentation and DPS is certified to run on WS 2012 R2. However, I am getting the following error trying to launch the ForecastServer.exe to configure the DPS Service on WS 2012 - Has anyone come across this issue and how can I get past this to install the DP Server? Sales Price based on Batch No

Hi, I would like to know if there's any standard functionality available in IFS Application version 8 to maintain Sales Part Price for a part Lot/Batch wise? For example, I have two sets of batches available for a single part in my inventory as X and Y. And I want to sell these parts in X batch for 1$ and Y for 1.5$. So when I create the customer and update batch no X in customer Order line, price should automatically comes as 1$ and when select Y price should come as 1.5$. Password Change Issue

Hello, We are having an issue with logging into the IFS Client using IFSAPP on one of our non-live environments. Changed the password numerous times with different password complexities. I am able to login to the database using a tool such as PL/SQL Developer with no issues using the credentials but when I use the same credentials to login to client IFS we get the following each time: Any ideas what could be causing this? IFS Doc Man vs SharePoint

Hello, We are currently using IFS Apps 8 document management extensively for holding different types of documents. These include for example building surveys, drawings, supplier quotes and Supplier Invoices to name a few. There are operational dependant documents and reference documents both stored in IFS currently. Documents are linked to Objects in IFS such as Work Orders, Serial/Functional Objects, Purchase Orders and Supplier Invoices. Also worth mentioning that we use Mobile work orders for our engineers, so as part of this specific documents are transferred to the mobile devices. We already use Microsoft Teams and SharePoint and the business like the look & feel of SharePoint over IFS. Also the accessibility of SharePoint to all employees over IFS is another factor. Another driver is the ability to have one location for documents related to specific assets/objects which can be easily searched upon through a user friend interface. AccessPlsql -- User Permission

Hi Community, I am in the process of setting permissions. I created one permission and granted “Voucher Entry” access but when user try to access that window, IFS throw an error calling “CURRENCY_RATE_API” must be declared. However after digging the error, I realized if I grant Activities → AccessPlsql permission that error doesn’t appear and user can do the transaction. Can someone explain what does this permission do and Is there any other thing to do without granting this access ?

Problems with sorting

Im working on sorting work orders, to do that I manually write in the number according to another number in the object ID, this takes a very long time. I have several work orders that all have the same object ID, and I want the same number written on the column called sorting. Is it possible to sort the work orders automatically, numbered according to the object ID number? For example; Pylon number 123 (Object ID: 123) has 17 work orders, these must all be number 123 in the sorting column.

Update ship via code on the purchase order on direct delivery

I have this internal order flow: PO - Company A CO - Company B PO - Company B CO - Company C SO - Company C When PO is created on Company A it is send to Company B where it generates a CO. That CO is born with Supply Code not desided. But is changed to Int Purch Dir and To Demand Site changed to Company A The effect is that when the CO is created on Company C the system finds the Leadtime and ship via code for sending the order to Company A in the Supply Chain Matrix (instead of Company B). That’s all good. But I need the Leadtime and ship via code to be updated on the PO in Company A for them to see how Is there any way that can be done? I’m on IFS 9

i got this error when a schedule ran that will send auto email to user. at print server i got IfsPSCrystalReportsPlugin.CRPlugin. Apps 8 to 10 - Facilities Management

Hello, We are considering an update from IFS Apps 8 to 10 and would be interested to receive guidance, feedback and lessons learned for companies using a similar industry and setup as ourselves. We are a FM company so the emphasis is very much on the service side of IFS. We currently use the majority of Service and Maintenance module including Mobile Work Orders, 360/PSO, Route Work Orders and standard Work Orders. In addition business support modules are also used Procurement, Financials, HR and Payroll. We have a fair few custom objects (Fields, Menus, Events) that have been developed over the last 4 years in addition to supporting custom Oracle APIs. Anyone who feels they cover all or some of the above areas and has gone through the upgrade or in progress, please can you share your thoughts Many thanks Shaun

Symbol storage for Labels

Hi We are potentially looking at creating labels from software called Zebra designer, which integrates with IFS APPS8. Zebra Designer creates an .RPL file which is stored within IFS. When the option of the label is selected to print it will pull most of the information onto the label from IFS where 80% of the label information will stored here such as; Part Numbers and Descriptions from “Master Part” Lot Numbers from “Shop Order” On the label we will also have symbols such as CLP symbols i.e. Hazard warning symbols, CE Mark symbols and Temperature symbols and we are not aware of any screen that this can be stored in. Can anybody shed some light on this and where this can be stored within IFS and what screen so when the label is printed it also pulls the symbols? The content of the label in terms of symbols will be part dependant, so this will vary from Part to Part. Many thanks Ravi

Hi, We currently have multiple companies set up in IFS. I am able to view the GL Balance Analysis for the main company, but am unable to view it for the other companies. It gives me the ‘Information Message’ saying No data found. I can access the session in all the companies, but am only able to generate data from the main company and not the others. I’m guessing this might be some permission that is not set up properly? Our system administrator doesn’t know where to look to grant me access. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
