On trying to log into IFS the user is receiving Contact the Vendor instead of the login screen. I have managed to get the user going by changed the default web browser from Edge to Internet Explorer. Can you please advise.

Disable Difference Code for further Use

HelloIs there a way to disable a difference code so it is not available for users to use it in future.we cannot delete it because it is being used historically but with process improvement we are more specific with our naming conventions and don’t want users to accidentally use that old obsolete code.(UNKNOWN_DIFFERENCE) . we are using IFS8.Thanks

Errors when creating permission sets in IFS10

We have are seeing some strange behaviour when creating and testing permission sets and was wondering if anyone else has seen this.After creating a functional permission set we assign it to an empty test-end user role. We then in turn grant this end user role to a test end user.Sometimes when logging in we get error messages such as the one shown below. When checing the functional role we can see that all methods for the quoted API are granted. This happens for any random functional role and any number of API’s.The only work around we have found is to re-assign the functional role to another end user role and then assign the end user role to another end user. After having refreshed the security cache we no longer get the error message.We have also tried to refresh dictionary and reference cache but that makes no difference. IFS have even provided us with a script that clears down the whole dictionary cache, but even that made no difference.

@0guz asked: I want to see structure levels for parts from '0' as top product until last one. I tried to write that code, but a part can exist in case x at level 2, same part can exist in case y at level 4. So we had to use LISTAGG maybe idk. Can u help me for this problem?

We need to add several OEE functions to the mWO (get journal records, add new journal entry).As we understood we need to add mobile entity in the mWO code. We got an advice to use DevScaffold project for this purpose.Our question is – do we need to have WO full source code of existing entities in order to add our one or we can build our entity as a separate DLL and deploy it along with existing cloud resource dll (mWorkOrder_4_8_1_0.dll)?

Is there any technical documentation on how to create views for operational reports which are suffixed with _REP and make them appear into Report Definitions so that crystal layouts can be defined?Also along with this I am also looking for technical documentation on how you can populate data for _RPT tables and make them available for any custom operational report generation.

MRP for multiple sites

We have an issue with purchase requisitions where MRP does not consider available qty on other site. We have 2 sites in a company, Let’s say A and B. A is a material-supply site, B is a manufacturing site. So when MRP runs for site A, it does not take qty on site B in the calculation, this generates a lot of mess for us. Please help and thanks in advance

FSM - Item Styles Colour Code on List Views

Item Style Knowledge Article Hi, Looking through the above knowledge articles and came across this one. This is something we have been looking at, and I thought I would create this topic to see if this is possible. Is it possible to get Item Styles into a list view on a custom screen? I wanted to do something simple like make a Request Priority 1 stand out. We can do this and it displays ok on the request screen. However when we look at the same request on a custom list view the Priority value appears with no styling. The custom screen is based of the primary table Table with a child relationship to Task, then an item path to a view of the Request table. We have tried to apply the Item Style ID against the field in the properties, but that doesn’t appear to work either. Cheers Ady

We are using IFS version 8.While creating sales part we need to mention sales part no and inventory part no .If Inventory part is present i.e. already created in system them user connecting this inventory part with sales part and saves the screen but if inventory part is not present in system then also user can created sales part by mentioning inventory part in part no and when he saves the screen sales part along with inventory part getting created.I need to restrict user for creating new inventory part if it does not exits in system.Please provide me pointers regarding this scenario.Thank YouDeepak Navale.

Microsoft 365 Excel issue in Apps 9

Hi Community, Some of our staff that have O365 E1 licenses, are experiencing issues when using the “Output to Excel” option in IFS Apps 9. Has anyone else experienced this? I am trying to add non logo type images to Report Designer layout (Client Version Apps 8 SP1 ) based on different report conditions. I have set the default graphics path as a file location in the machine and Explicit run time path in the server as below .Client MachineThe image files are physically presented in the folder path in application server . I need to limit the quantity received for each part number. If the PO states (5) I need to prevent someone from receiving (6) if the supplier shipped more than was ordered without authorization. Where is this found? Thank you.

Hi, Has anybody used IFS to create a bacs file for Euro payments? I need to generate a supplier bacs file with all the fields that are needed for Euro payments to Ireland - doesn’t have to be 100% accurate as we can use other software to generate it in the correct format as per bank requirements.
