Fixed Exchange Rate in Sales Contract

Hi Experts, In on of our clients, there is a scenario where they have a contract with multiple currencies. E.g. Rupee and USD. Base currency is Rupee and its ok to deal with it but for USD they have agreed to fixed the exchange rate for the contract. So, the dollar rate should be fetched as agreed in the contract in Invoices.We are currently using Sales Contract Functionality with AFP and Project Invoice.Question is “How to get fixed Exchange Rate for Dollar part of the contract where it will reflect the same/fixed rate in invoices and at payments as well.Please share best practice regarding this scenario. Hi everyone, I would like your help regarding inventory part and fixed asset.My client purchases Fixed Assets and store it in warehouse. Then it is issued on Material Requisition if needed in the equipement structure and / or Maintenance can be performed on them while in warehouse.Do you know how to define an inventory part as a Fixed asset and as a Serial Object as well ?Thanks for your help.Regards

Connection Window in a specific language

Hi,The very first time I connect to an APPS10 environment with Enterprise Explorer, I have the Login Window in English (picture 1).I have to change the language in the EE options to have it translated in my language (FR) when I connect the 2nd time (picture 2).Is it possible to have the Login Window translated in a specific language the very first time I connect to the environment ? Consignment Inventory - Undo Customer Order Shipment

Hello all, We have a shipment we were trying to undo on a consignment order. Normally this is not a problem, but on this particular part, we are getting this message:“UNCODELOV is not valid for lot/batch master. Contact system support.” When I have tested this, it appears to be related to the lot quantity rule being set to many lots per production order in the master part record, but not 100% sure about this. Unreleased activity

Hello, I got a problem with unreleased activity.The MRP runs and generates Shop Order Requisitions (SOR) and Purchase Order Requisitions (POR).The problem is that the MRP creates an MRP Planned Demand needs. This needs are related to Shop Order Requisitions in Status “Proposal Created” not accepted by the planning team. Exemple:I got two Finish manufactured products A and B with planning method A (MRP): Product A = (composed by one unit of B and other of C)Porduct D = (composed by one unit of E and other of F)So, the planing steps are:Execut MRP. Check Shop Order Requisitions (SOR) and there is proposals to Release 2 unit of product A and 3 units of product D for the same date. You decide that you will not accept the SOR for product A and ignore it. And Accept SOR of product B. You run MRP again. (Because I know if I change the demand of higher planning levels the demand of levels below will not automatically change. The proposals are fixed) Then you go to your Purchase Requisition li

Invoicing PO returns for credit

How do others handle invoice POs when parts have been returned for credit?An example of the issue we are having:The supplier ships 10 pcs and emails the invoice for 10 pcs to our AP group.The 10 pcs are received and the Arrival report is sent to AP to verify the receipt.1 pc is identified as bad and returned to the supplier for credit.When AP tries to enter the invoice, they don’t have 10 pcs to match against.The supplier has not yet sent the credit.

REST Debug

Hi, Please give me some advice on how to debug effectively the PL/SQL side of an incoming OData REST webservice request when the input is a complex structure. As long as there are some simple parameters to the request, it is fine, I can specify them in the test window of PL/SQL Developer.However, it can be quite painful to build a complex structure (like several customer orders and their lines and their child rows) in PL/SQL before calling the request. Ways I tried:Remote debug with Oracle SQL Developer → could not get through the error: ‘insufficient privileges’ for DBMS_DEBUG_JDWP package (I granted everything and added ACLs) Tried to find within IFS how the conversion of JSON to Oracle types are done - that way I could copy the JSON part of the request to the test window of PL/SQL Developer, where I would convert it to the proper Oracle record type that is defined in My…._SVC package and pass it to the the appropriate method in My..._SVC packageAny recommendation is welcome.Thanks J

Hi All,In Standard ISO20022 transformer, we could not find the tag related to <PrtLctn>.But one of the bank is expecting us to send the default value as 001 in <PrtLctn> tag for Inter-Bank Transfer.Is anybody aware why this tag is missing in Standard ISO20022 transformer.Thanks for the support in Advance.

Automatic Receipt Matching - Price Difference

We use the automatic receipt process, which will match the invoice with any new receipts. Just noticed however that if the part price is updated in background and the receipts change, the invoice will remain as prelimposted until such time as we manually rematch the invoice. Is there any set up we can do that will update a receipt that is attached to an invoice so that the price will update and invoice will clear without the manual intervention?

Offline capability for performing functions similar to WADACO.

WADACO does not work in offline mode, if there was a need to perform WADACO transactions such as Counting , Moving , Execute transport task, etc. in offline mode, is there a solution available for this ?

Charges on inventory transaction

We have a customer that wants to have a charge (or cost etc) when issuing parts from inventory to a work order, without affecting the inventory value. The warehouse is seen as an independent organisation and then need to generate revenue to cover the cost (labor cost). To clarify with example: The part has a inventory value of 100, and when the part is issued to a work order, the cost on the work order will be 110. We cannot find a suitable solution for this but i believe IFS has a great way to solve it.

Does other users face problems while using both english and local language ?

Hi,In our company the Sales team uses English and the production team uses Danish.However the production team have now been forced to use English since an annoying error keeps occuring while they close orders in the WorkBench. If they change client language to English the error does not occur. Here is the error:FndPLSQLEnumeration encoding error !The client value ‘Manufacturing’ is not part of the Enumeration ‘ShopOrdCOde’! This error comes when the production uses DK language, and as you can see the PO Type is not translated in to Danish - it says ‘Manufaturing’ - however sometimes during the day it says ‘Produktion’ as if it “jumps “ between translation DK and English - as if not beeing stable.Has anybody else experinced something like that ? When we were running App’s 9 -we did not have the problem.Now at App’s 10 we have the problem :-(

Print attached documents to specified printer

For customer on APPS10, soon to be on IFS Cloud 21R1, On a work order, is there a way to get attached documents to print to a specific printer?In existing functionality where you can “Print attached documents” from work order guidelines, it will download docman document and then print to the default printer installed on device running the IFS application.Could it be possible to setup so that certain doc classes for example, gets routed to specific printers? Similar to our Printer Definition for operational reports functionality?Any ideas how to create such a modification, or configure it to do that? This is a question i have gotten few times by different customers. For example, drawings needs to go to a certain color printer, while work instructions or other attached pdf documents should go to a black and white printer in a different area. Ideally we would select a RMB, “print work order package” and print all attached documents, and depending on what doc class, send them to different

Supplier portal 3rd party experience?

Hi, Does anyone in this community have any experience with 3rd party supplier portals integrated with IFS 10? The IFS supplier portal becomes really expensive when you have many suppliers but not massive spend. From what I have heard only the Oracle licenses for each supplier is full Oracle license. That business case wont work for us and is not scalable for future rollouts of IFS within our group. The wish list includes:Updating supplier data (approved by us before updated) Update purchase part data (approved by us before updated) Handling of purchase orders (for the suppliers that do not use EDI that we want to set up shortly. Suppliers could choose EDI or the portal.) Ability to get forecast (without our involvement) Possibility to have “one login” together with our drawing distribution system to make it feel integrated. Handling of quality issues and reports Any suggestion would be appreciated

'Manual Pegging of Shop Order Material Line'

Hi, I’ve been experimenting with 'Manual Pegging of Shop Order Material Line'. I’ve grasped the basic mechanics, which is to search for a part and assign it (by allocating the full qty. ‘available’ to the level above (selecting the relevant order no). The only discernible change is when I check ‘Inventory Part Availability’ the ‘Pegged’ column is whatever qty. you assigned (both for the supply and demand elements). Are there other benefits besides this? I hope there is, otherwise, you wonder what the point of this somewhat manual practice is. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks, Jay

Consolidated Screening List

I need to be able to use this API for the Consolidated screening list here https://api.trade.gov/apps/store/apis/info?name=ConsolidatedScreeningListAPI&version=v1#tab2. Does anyone know of way to do this in IFSAPPS9? It uses Bearer Authentications so uses Access tokens in the API request. Bascially what I want to do is at time of customer order entry, check to see if the customer is on the list and log that in order line history and give the user a message if it is on the list.
