Custom objects concept introduced from app8 version onwards.

Custom events do exist in App75, but not custom objects. As sahan mentioned custom objects are introducted from App8 and in higher versions.

Custom events does show in navigator in  App75 SP7. May be you could mention the sp version your refering.

You need to search for “Events” window and then click on the ‘+’ icon as shown in below picture to add a new Event.
