Inventory Locations Hidden checkbox

Find the location in the Warehouse Navigator and set the check box for Hide in Warehouse Navigator.With this selected, the inventory location now shows as Hidden in the Inventory Locations page.

How could I make to appear the option "Engineering Transfer In Progress"

As @Charith Epitawatta stated, this menu item is available only for Engineering Revision Transfer Action records with an Action Status of In Process. Records obtain this status only when a Detailed Transfer has been performed for an Engineering Part Revision.

In Apps10 EE, in the 4th dialog you can select the part to be a Raw Material. Same in Aurena.

MRP generating purchase requisition lines unexpectedly

Looking for clarification on why MRP is create P’req lines when there is open supply lines greater than the safety stock. The Safety Stock on this item is 6, the Minimum Lot size is 12. There is 0 on hand and 20 on a purchase requisition (seen above). The P’req was entered manually and as a result of a previous MRP scheduled task. Should MRP consider all open po’s and requisitions when calculation MRP amounts? Since the original Req is in Released status, I’m guessing your Site is not set to Use Released Purch Reqs in Planning (Site > Manufacturing > General). If it were, the system would not have generated the additional requisition for 12 to satisfy the Safety Stock. Check the MRP Projected Onhand in MRP Part Information > Receipts and Deliveries with your 2 req situation in IPAP. I’m guessing yours says 12, when if using Released Reqs in Planning it would say 20.

@Chandima Pathirana @vs.sukesh I do not believe anything needs fixed. The From/To Times in Day Types can be defined only from 12:00 AM to 12:00 AM. The graphic below should help.Also, a nice enhancement would be to allow the First Period in a Day Type to belong to the Previous Day.

Calendar for different shift timing in a week

Assuming you want to reflect a 06:30-18:30 work time followed by an 18:30-02:30 (following day) work time starting on Sunday at 06:30 and ending on Thursday at 02:30.You will need three day types, and the Period Start Day in the Schedule will be Sunday.DT1 - assign to Sunday in the Schedule (Working Time = 1050). 06:30-18:30 WORK 18:30-00:00 WORK DT2 - assign to Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday in the Schedule (Working Time = 1200). 00:00-02:30 WORK 06:30-18:30 WORK 18:30-00:00 WORK DT3 - assign to Thursday in the Schedule (Working Time = 150). 00:00-02:30 WORK Also, after generating the calendars, check that the Working Time on each day S/M/T/W/Th is correct. If not, you may need to assign a different Period type (e.g., WORK2) on either the 18:30-00:00 interval on DT1/DT2 or the 00:02:30 interval on DT2/DT3.Note - It is not required to have the 06:30-00:00 interval split at 18:30. @Marcin Szczurek this is available when a lot-tracked part (not order-based tracked) has been processed in Register Arrivals via Receive, not Receive with Serials/Lots. Allows you to assign a lot/batch before moving to stock. Never available for order-based tracked parts.

@Anna My setup is also in Apps10 Upd14. I do not know of any checkboxes that have any effect on this. What Units of Measure are setup for the Company? Is there any Input UoM in effect here? What is the Freight Factor on your Part?

Status of Structures

Actually, If I converted it by one by, it would take more time. So, I would like to convert it from Manufacturing Structures page cause I want to convert more than 1000 product structures. Is it possible? Yes this can be done for multiple structures at one time in the Structure Alternates page. Easily done in the IEE client.

Which MOQ and Lead time input is used in the MRP

MRP uses the information in the Planning Data tab of the Inventory Part in its order lot sizing calculations. MRP (except for multi-site planned parts) does not consider anything in the Supplier for Purchase Part record in its order lot sizing calculations.For all part types (manufactured or purchased), the relevant fields are: Planning Method, Safety Stock, Min/Max/Mult Lot Sizes, and Scrap Factor (%).Std Lot Size is not used by MRP in any of its calculations. Std Lot Size is used only: 1) for calculating the manufacturing lead time (for that specific lot size) and 2) in Costing Calculation for spreading the Setup Costs over the Standard Lot Size for better unit costing.Min Order Qty on the Supplier for Purchase Part page only comes into play when a Purchase Requisition is entered manually or converted to a Purchase Order. The user will be presented with an information message that "The minimum quantity when ordering Part No [xxx] from Supplier [yyy] is [z] EA." There is no hard stop

Shop Order Scrap of Serial Part and As-Built Structures #2

@Björn Hultgren Thanks for the reply. I have asked the customer to enter a case for IFS to investigate the behavior the customer has observed. The short version: In your scenario, they have seen a lot/batch tracked component move from parent serial 5 to parent serial 4 when scrapping a quantity of 1 on the shop order.

Demand Planner Logic for Forecast Output

From an APICS/ASCM manual - “...the forecast quickly becomes repetitive when forecast data are used in place of actual results; after a few periods, everything is based on forecast data and a moving average or weighted average of the same three numbers results in the same number. It shows how these methods are less useful the further you go into the future.”Maybe the logic acknowledges this and just uses P1 forecast for the entire horizon.Same scenario with smaller gaps in actual demand numbers.

Changing Engineering BOM Qty

Hi There, Is there a way to change the quantity of a single part which is used in thousands of boms? I know the structure change feature can be used to change one part for another but doesn't seem to include qty changes. Thanks Paul Is your question related to mass changing the QPA in the Consists Of tab in multiple Engineering Part Revisions or within Manufacturing Product Structures?

Another thing to consider would be when there is a technical question in a certain functional area, such as when one is trying to add custom fields or perform custom functions on an object like a Purchase Order, the best forum would be a technical one (Framework) not the functional one (Buying).

Here I have defined a document revision (doc no 1200450) in Doc Class TEMP as the template document for class MW-TRAIN. This document revision will be used as the template when I create a document in class MW-TRAIN with Language Code = en and for any Format (represented by ‘*’).There are more methods to create documents, but let’s cover these two.Create Document AssistantHere I am registering a new document in class MW-TRAIN. With the checkboxes ticked for New File and Open File, when I finish the assistant IFS will create a new file using the template document 1200450 as the source and open the file in the related application. Register Document Revision then Create FileIn the Document Revision page, I have created a header without a file. When I select the Edit button, IFS will create a new file using the template document 1200450 as the source and open the file in the related application.
