WADACA - Register Arrival - How to set up the Register Arrival process for a non inventory purchased part

Hello,Every time that I attempt to Register Arrival for a non-inventory purchased part from the scan gun using the Register Arrival process, it asks for the “Source Ref Type”. When I choose the List option, there is no value that I can pick from. When i look at the Register Arrival screen from the IE client, it says that the Source Ref Type is a Purchase Order. The WADACO process isn’t pulling this value in automatically as it does for purchased inventory parts. Below is how I have the Register Arrival process set up. Does anyone know why this is happening? Is something not set up correctly in the Purchase Order or the WADACO configuration? Thank you,Matt

Copy Part function question

Hello, I’m attempting to use the Copy Part feature to copy an Inventory Part, Routing, and Product structure to another site in my system. Currently, we are creating parts in an estimating site that houses all of our work centers, labor classes, etc. Once the parts are finalized, I would like to use the Copy Part function to move those parts to the correct manufacturing site. I have noticed that the Copy Part function works, however it does not bring over my routing steps. I’ve tried changing the status to Build, but the routing steps still do not appear after the copy. I’m not sure if there is something I’m missing, or if this is how the Copy Part function works when you try to copy to another site. The final item I’ve noticed is that you are not able to copy a new Product Structure component part to a new site unless you manually copy the part prior to running the Copy Part from the top level Inventory Part. My assumption was that if you run the Copy Part from the top level, if

LoV not shown from IFS/Order report, but in Business Reporter for Selection Group (HR)

Hi All, This question is related to BR version 5.0.9.0. Please see attached word document for related screen shots. Attempt 1: I added a customer attribute ‘SELECTION_GRP’ to FACT_TIME_TRANSACTION (source type - Function Call) and used it as a BR report parameter . The report will show LoV for ‘Selection Group’ when it runs from BR .But when I run it from IFS/Order Report LoV is not displayed. I think the reason for missing LoV in IFS may be ‘SELECTION_GRP’ is not a primary key item Attempt 2: I did not see a standard dimension for ‘Selection Group’ , So I created a Quick Dimension for Selection Group. And tried to create a Relation for Fact using Quick Dimension. but was unable to do so because I could not find a fact item id from FACT_TIME_TRANSACTION to the ‘selection_group’ source reference. The customer requirement is to see LoV for ‘Selection Group’ in IFS. I would like to know how do I achieve this. Can someone please help? Thank you! Disna

Add AR Customer Contact for Event Action to e-mail PDF REPORT CREATED (Interest Invoice)

I have confirmed with IFS that Repeat media output in not supported for Interest Invoice for Apps8, so the PDF_Parameter_1 is not supported. Noting that I will have to hardcode the email address in the event.Since each Customer has their own email address, hardcode is not an option.Does anyone know of a way that I can pull in the AR Customer Contact detail, at least the E-mail Value into Event Action for Interest Invoice, so that the email notification and Interest Invoice pdf can be sent to the individual customer contact?

FSM 5.7: Custom table and Message Translation

I have Create a Custom Table that will be receiving data from an External System.in the Table has 3 columns (task_id, field, Value) for the field it will have a value like “Person_Email” This table will be added to the task Screen as a new tab as a list viewI don’t want to display the column “field” but would like to display a description instead “Person Email”. I was hoping that i could use the message translation to manage this as there maybe a future requirement to have these discriptions displayed in the users languge instead of one fixed value. If the message translation is not the right place then i dont mind creating another table to manage the Field Value, language and Description as long as i can display the Description as a field.Does anyone have a suggestion on how this might be possible? Post & Print batch shipments

in FSM,Does anyone have a process in place to post multiple shipments at once?We have a quarterly program where we ship out over 700 orders or maintenance kits to our customers. Right now we have to post and print each shipment 1 by 1. its tedious. We talked about running a perform batch shipment XML but it froze up the system. open to any suggestions people may have on this.

[ FSM Mobile] Hiding line codes in time repotting

on FSM 5.7 it shows all the users entered line codes. however only some of them apply to labour while the others do not. What would be the best way to hide specific ones from the mobile time reporting screen

Quick Report (Crystal Report) web_util_api and SQL Expressions

I am trying to create a Fire Roll Call that lists current employees when they are classed as present. When you look at the Present Employees screen in IFS the view is COMPANY_PERS_ASSIGN_BASIC. The Present column calls the following API to get the result of whether they are present or not: Time_Pers_Diary_Clock_Util_Api.Is_Present_Offset(company_id, emp_no,null ) and returns a 1 or 0. This was working fine in my Crystal Report but is not available when you add the WEB_UTIL_API. I have tried adding it as a custom field within the COMPANY_PERS_ASSIGN_BASIC view but cannot seem to get this to work. How can I get the result of the API into my report? Any advice gratefully received.

Cannot find custom page

Hello,I have created a custom LU with 3 fields, created the custom page, inserted into a custom tab, and everything was working good. After a test, the users told me that one field was unnecessary, and they wanted to remove it. Then I proceeded this way:removed the custom tab removed the custom page unpublished the LU removed the field published the LU created the custom pageNow, when I add the custom page to the custom tab, I cannot find the page in the list.I know that, to make it easier, I can hide the field but this is not the first time that this kind of problem happens and the solution is …. wait until the next day. In fact the next day the custom page “magically” appears.Why this happens ? Is there a background job (maybe in the night) that rebuild something ?We’re running IFS 10 update 8.Thanks.

FSM - Change Product on Completed Request

Is is possible to switch the product on a request / Task after it is completed (with part usage, non part usage done)? When we attempt to do so, we cant remove the old product from the request. The error states that it cannot be moved since it is tied to part need, usage & NPU. The way around is it we update all those values with the new request unit ID via SQL DB Query. Is there a more user appropriate way for people to do this day to day vs manipulating the database -

Hello There is a Oracle error when I open a zip file on import configuration windows .ORA-06502: PL/SQL: numeric or value error: Bulk Bind: Truncated BindIt’s about a Custom Event nammed “0^FGAEVQUA004^MrbPartInspection”I checked parameter “Define the characters which should not appear in key fields” , it contains “(..)&%_<>=;~”The event already exist in an application package .Thanks for your help

Crystal Report Print dialog box defaults to neither Windows default printer or IFS default printer

Hoping someone can shed some light on this situation. I have a user that brought this up - whenever they are trying to print a Crystal report, the Print dialog box always default selects “Microsoft Print to PDF”, instead of the Windows default printer (shown as “Front Office” with green default checkmark below). Her IFS Printer Definition settings are also set to default to this office printer. I even checked on our IFS Print Agent server - and the default printer is another office device. Does anyone know what might be the reason for this, and whether it can be changed?

Operational Reporting - emailing PDF under changed filename

Let me join the IFS community with this very first thread! My issue is how to e-mail report (invoice or order confirmation) but under attachment file name different than default (ReportID || ResultKey). I have tried with Report Rule where action is Set Property, then set DocumentFileName to WhateverIWantTo.pdf but it doesn’t seem to be a solution. Next i have prepared Rule with Action SendEmail, then set Attachment Name to new FileName, but it came to me with above mentioned standard filename. The same for Route To Connect action with Output File Name set to new one. But, it didn’t change file name either. I assume, the best way would be to define under which name report should be created, so in earlier stage than e-mail it. However I ran out of ideas how to achieve it. Hope that anyone here can help me.
