Correct Manual Customer Invoice preposting after posted

Hello Does anyone know if you can change / correct preposting on a Manual Customer Invoice that has been saved/posted? Would be nice to have the link back to the original entry vs just doing a journal entry to move it between accounts to fix. Or canceling the invoice and re-inputting it.I can not see a way but just wanted to check. Thank you!

We receive requests to raise manual/instant invoices via e-mail. Is there any process in IFS that could automate this for us, or have the request come via IFS to be more managable?

Multiple Sessions Stacking and Locking

We are experiencing very poor performance on our live system and trying to understand what is causing it.We can see that at database level users are logging in but we see many users are getting a collection of sessions, maybe as they move around screens and such like. We see that their 1st session appears to be locking their 2nd session and this manifests as a screen that freezes with the little ‘processing’ pop-up upon saving a record.We also see one user’s session is locking out another user’s sessionsI wondered if anyone on here has experienced this and if it is possible to manage it We’re on Apps 9 SP11 - 2 X Windows App Servers with 3 X Linux Oracle Database servers. All load balanced

We are trying to add downtime reporting in IFS for our Maintenance team. We are using Apps10, where tasks have been introduced. I see start and finish times, but i don’t see anything about downtime. Is there someplace to record this that someone is using that we can also use?

Maintenance Plan

I have a 1 month, 3 month and a yearly pm with replacements set, I canceled the generated work orders from the 1 month which removed the work order reference from the maintenance planning line but what happened was the work order reference in the 3 month and yearly show canceled but did not delete and now I can’t regenerate the work orders. Any ideas on how to fix this.

FSM 6u6 - Customer Portal - Does it support hyperlinks to outside content?

Hi,We are looking for a way to give our customers access to user-specific URLS through the customer portal. This could be for Project Plans, SmartSheets, Sharepoint sites, other file storage locations, reports, or other portals/incident systems. I’m aware that there are Link elements in the lobby, but since we can only associate 1 Lobby to the portal, which is used by many of our customers, all customers would see the same links.This could be solved through a data-source driven element, such as LIST elements, but they don’t support hyperlinks. I’m very open for a Lobby solution, if one exists, to load custom hyperlinks unique to the person loggin in (or their portal access) The workaround to not being able to use lobbies seems to be to build a custom workflow… However; I’m running into a similar issues as with lobbies.I can get all the right data, including URLS, to display for the right people. I cannot figure out how to make a hyperlink so theURLs are functional, or beter

FSM 6u6 Customer Portal - Workflow & Lookup Questions

Hi All,Hoping at least one of you may have experienced these challenges in the past, and figured out how to overcome them :) We’re trying to launch the new customer portal, but have the following challenges: When launching the “REQUESTFLOW” process, which starts creating a new request, the “Place ID” always seems to default populate to whichever value is highest on the list of Access in the users profile --- Is there a way for place_id to start blank/empty? We’d are a B2B organization, where each Customer has access to hundreds of places, we want to force them to select the right one, without defaulting. When loading any lookup, whether Placelookup or RequestTemplateLookup, or others, the default sort order seems to be on the key element. Can the sort order in a lookup popup be manipulated to any custom-sort, such as by place.name or request_template.name? Is there any support for Searching or Filtering within a lookup? a list of 500-5000 locations is hard to browse through witho

GPS Tracking

HiCan you please explain how GPS location updates are recorded on the mobile device (IOS) and sent to the backend and what should be configured to make this happen. We are currently using FSM6 SP5 and are experiencing very few GPS updates on the person records of the technicians. The mobile device is set to allow location tracking for the device and FSM however very few updates are written back to the FSM application

Hi,Does any one has experience with handling JPK (SAF-T)/VAT Reporting for a Foreign Company Registered for Tax in Poland?For example, a company in Norway is registered for Tax in Poland (May be due to triangular trade). Delay of EDI Send Invoice

HiHas anyone encountered the issue with sending Customer Order EDI Invoices too soon? In a small number of cases, the Customer will reject the invoice because the goods are still ‘in transit’. We are not using Delivery Confirmation in these cases.So we want to delay the sending of the invoice by say 5 days. We cannot use the ‘Invoice Date Offset’ setting that will delay Print/Send because we want to account for the revenue with a real invoice. We also have considered ‘Interim Posting of Outstanding Sales’ but this only accrues for the revenue - we want the invoice on the Sales Ledger. In summary, we want the Invoice in the ‘PostedAuth’ status but the Sending Delayed. Perhaps there is a way in connectivity or something?

Amortisation in IFS

Dear community, I have a quick question on the amortisation/prepayment process in IFS. Take this scenario, we pay a supplier for something in period 1 for $1,00,000 and then we wanted a recurring journal to amortise the costs over 5 years, we have been told that this requires the accounting periods to be open or something similar to be able to do this? Does anyone know how you might set up recurring journals or similar, or can you point me in the right direction of any documentation that might help? Thanks, David

UKMOD GFE Equipment

Just wondered if anyone (in the UK) has experience of managing MOD GFE equipment in IFS. whether its repairs, spares, embodiment items etc etc. Some of this will come in on a CRO but not all of it will and some of it will be held by the business on behalf of MOD. My starting point for tracking is the fact that it will all be flagged as Customer Owned in IFS.There are strict requirements how businesses need to manage and report on any GFE they hold. Excel Migration Job problem

I’ve got an Excel Migration Job that’s giving me fits. The solution may lie in Excel itself but so far nothing I’ve tried works. Perhaps it’s not Excel and there is an issue with my migration job.I’m migrating Fixed Assets depreciation distribution detail. Note that the migration job for the distribution header worked without problems. The source Excel file has a column that requires formatting. Specifically, I’ve used Excel to format leading zeros to 3 positions: ‘1’ becomes ‘001’, ‘50’ becomes ‘050’, etc.However when I Validate a few lines as a test, IFS migration seems to “see” the values in that formatted column without the formatting: ‘001’ is seen as ‘1’, ‘050’ is seen as ‘50’. I’ve tried every approach and finagle I can think of so I’m here asking for insight.Lucy

In connect on Apps 7.5, can the default file out path for saving a file to disk be set to something other than related to the root directory of extended server? In other words a UNC path on another server. Tried a UNC path and it didn’t work.
