Hello IFS Community,What functionality exists in IFS which leverages a directly connected electronic scale?" A couple example may be populating a weight field in a screen used for shipping, or for identifying a part but the predetermined standard weight in IFS.

Obsolete Part Going to Auto Req

We have a part that we have set as obsolete (customer no longer with us) but IFS keeps generating purchase req’s daily for my buyer. I’ve used IFS all of 4 weeks and I have yet to find the fix. Any thoughts?

Custom Event with Custom Field Lookup

I have created a custom event on the Logical Unit ShopOrd for Table SHOP_ORD_TAB. Whenever the need date changes they want a reason code entered (which is my custom field). I cannot get it to show me the actual data in that field if it is entered on the screen at the time the need date is changed. It looks like it is not updating the CFT table with the information so I do not know how to access that data from the screen before it places the data in the table.It displays the info message even when I have entered in the reason code on the screen at the same time I have changed the need date. It tells me that the need date has changed and I need to enter in a reason code which I have already placed in the field at the time.

Apps 10 - not re-scheduling a shop order operation

Hi, For a customer, I try to use the shop floor workbench : In the lower part of the screen, when I move the 707**10 operation forward, the operation 707**20 does not move (that’s OK). I move the operation 707**20 backward, the operation 707**10 does not move (that’s OK). After this, when I see the operation in the Shop Order, the scheduling direction of operation 20 has changed (at the beginning, it was backward scheduling, as the shop order is) : Then when I come back to the shop floor workbench, I just want to move forward my operation 10 (but not modifying the schedule of operation 20 because I want to keep it at the actual date), the result is that the operation 20 is re-scheduled following the operation 10, and the operation 10 as a scheduling direction changed : Does somebody know how to fix a scheduling of an operation to avoid this ? I’ve tried to changed manually the scheduling direction of the operation 20 to “manual” but when I move forward the operation 10, the scheduling

Purchase Requistion authorisation Rules

Hi, Just wondering if it is possible to configure the Purchase requisition authorisation rules to be based on the total value of the PR rather than the line value? We are using Apps 9 but looking to upgrade to 10 so any advise on what is possible in either of those versions would be great. Thanks

U16 Upgrade failing

Trying to install IFS 6 U 16 to our Deve environment, get the same issue locally on my own PC as well. Have set up Powershell 7.2 and .Net Framework is correct at 4.8 as well but am getting “Invoke-SqlCmd’ is not recognised as the name of cmdlet etc.What am I doing wrong ? Also on all these updates, when running it, why do I get a message that says “Start: The System cannot find the file specified” when I select Deploy FSM Components on-premise, it appears three times and I hit ok, doesnt fill me with confidence.

Shop Order SUBCONTRACTING transaction cost calculation

Hello Community,We are using IFS 9.I have a question for labor and operation trasactions. for subcontracting transaction -WIPFROMSUB normally Material cost is getting added if it is the first subcontracting transaction. But I have found that for 4 transaction there was material cost added in this transaction.but for last two transactions its manufacturing cost comprises of Material cost plus subcontracting cost. Lot number changed

We have a client that is using lot/batch tracking, and we saw a lot number removed by the automated user and put back in by the same automated user a few seconds later with a different lot number with a new unit price. We are using weighted average valuation. Has anyone seen this behavior before?

Jinsui file mapping fields

I am testing the Jinsui interface in Aurena and I´ve created the file for export. In the file there are 2 columns - CHECK_ID and PAYEE_ID that I cannot find out where the information is fetched from in the system.Is there anyone that has a document with the the mapping of all external file columns to its fields in the application?

Bulk transfer of employees from one company to another

Hi all, Is there a way to create employees in bulk when the person ids already exist? It’s basically a TUPE situation. Employees from company A move to company B. Both companies are on IFS. The companies are part of a matrix structure.There is a functionality to remove them in bulk from company A. That works a treat. But there is no option to create the new employee records in bulk. I can’t see an option to select multiple existing person ids.Has anyone done that before without using a data migration job? The environment is Apps 10 Aurena but would love to know if that also works in Cloud.Thank you

Missing Copy / Paste functionality in Travel Expenses

We see that the missing copy/paste functionality for Travel Expenses is still missing in UPD15 in IFS10. There is no Duplicate functionality either. This is really something our users are missing. It’s available in IEE. Documentation for Update Information

Is there any documentation where changes between updates can be found (preferably in a table format; excel) so it can be easily compared with previous updates? Also, including bugfixes included in the update with the respective modules effected. This would be helpful to compare and differentiate between updates.

FSM 6u6 - Exceptions in Error Log

Hi Experts, Every 10 minutes a set of exceptions is being logged in the Server Log. This is happening in both Prod and Test environment and not in conjunction with any of our scheduled processes.No test plan for this, exceptions are being thrown every 10 minutes in all the client environments.No impact to any of the users as well because of this exceptions as well.We couldn’t find the root cause for this exceptions. Auto Reserve for Shipment

Hi All, We are trying to figure out a solution for the following scenario when we reserve inventory for a shipment. We have multiple warehouses under one site. We ship all product for a shipment from one warehouse. When using the RMB Reserve on the shipment, IFS reseves material from multiple warehouses within the site. We would liek to restrict the reservation for a single warehouse within the site. Is there configuration that can help us achieve the same. We are on Apps9. Thanks.

Can't set up new employees

I am trying to give a user access to set up new employees in the system. He can create the employee record, but when he tries to fine the Person ID, he can't see it in the search window and if he just types it in and tries to save the record he gets the error "Insufficient access rights. You cannot modify Pers Protected data for the person." The person record he is trying to use is newly created and is not set up as a protected person. There must be some access setting I am missing.
