How is “Assign work” different from “Allocate resource” in scheduling. If I do assign work, It gets assigned to the person as per the start date I gave which is understood but allocate resource does not seem to do anything. It gets into his calendar on the current date itself. And Adjust to schedule ON/OFF does not make any difference

I wanna cancel a work assignment inside a work task as I am unable to close it, but when I hit cancel, it asks for cancellation cause. The only place where I could find cancellation cause is below, but it does not reflect in assignment screenso please tell how to cancel a work assignment.. When I am trying to cancel the work task, it shows the same screen asking for cancellation cause but no cause is autopopulated in dropdownso basically i want to know how can I delete or cancel a work task?
hi In FSM module in IFS, I created a location & tagged it with a region. Inside the task of that service request, I chose that location but I am unable to see region populated by default.The region to which location is taggedI entered this location in work taskRegion is not populated and I cant add that as well. (under PSO scheduling information in the work task) Since region is not there inside the task, when I am using View eligible resource in dispatch console, it is not applying any filter on region which I expected. I am trying to remove the location so that I can manually add the region but I don’t see any option to remove the address in the task once entered.
hiIn FSM in IFS, In technician portal, I can see only standard service tasks not all. Also, I saw an unassigned task in technician portal but when I assigned that task to resource 406404, it is not showing up in technician portal under Assigned.
Inside a task, in time reports, only those entries get inserted for which transaction date is same as Planned start date, why? I think if a technician work for 3 days, he wants to enter his time report for Day1, Day2 & Day 3, he should fill here & it should be accepted.Also, when technician starts reporting time, the system shows me all the resources of assigned group, not only the assigned person, why?Ex. assignment of below task is to a Resource 25COPY but in time reporting, it shows me all resources of assigned group--why? I expected it to auto populate the resource who is assigned to the task.

I duplicated the timesheet here into the checklist, so the entity is also copiedEntity that Checklist is using isThis is the same entity copied from Timesheet tab. Now, when I am configuring some fields in this, it is getting configured in Timesheet tab too which I don’t want. Ex. Hi,Is there anything like cost type/hourly rate type in IFS FSM module- I have FSE who works on service requests tasks. The FSE/technician might have diff rates like normal, overtime, nonbillable etc & the cost calculation should be based on the hrs filled in that category. Ex. his normal rate is say $50 & say his normal hrs are 5, so cost will be 50*5, but if his overtime hourly rate is $80 & overtime hrs he filled is 3, then cost will be 80*3. So want to know where these rates can be defined?
Hi, If a work task is transferred to a technician & he finishes his assignment using MWO, the assignment status becomes Completed but work task status is sometimes Work done & sometimes remain work started only. What’s the reason behind this? I want the manger to manually mark the task to work done. Also, can a new status be added in the list?

HiIn MWO, there is an option “Return” that comes after assignment is marked complete. What’s the use of it? I could see that the task disappears from MWO screen BUT I am unable to delete the assignment now.
HiFor a task, the time difference between work started & completed is automatically clocked & gets filled in time reports. I need to manually go to work task clockings & delete it. Is there a way to avoid getting entry for it?I need to show only the time which is manually filled by FSE.
hi, is it possible to apply a column/filter for custom field in work order planning gantt? Like we have a custom field RIG on the WO screen, can we display that field here too so that I can see only the work orders only that belong to that rig?Also, can we drill down the tasks further to see which resources are working on them? Something like below--MARINER IS the rig, 259, 436,446 are tasks and below them are the resourced working on them. Right side shows the dates.
HiHow can I apply calendar in dispatch screen? I setup a calendar that has 12 hrs per working day from 6 am to 6 pm, so if task duration is 15 hrs, I expect it to go over 2 days but when I drag & drop the task against the resource in dispatch console, it shows only 1 day (considering 24 hrs of work). The resource is tied with that calendar.
