As we push to get user’s over to Aurena, we have discovered that when locking an attached document within the Manual Supplier Invoice screen, each time that the Document Object Connections tab is clicked, the systems takes a long time before this option becomes available. All other areas of IFS where this process takes place do not exhibit this behavior, nor do we see this in IEE.
I have been working for several months to upgrade our databases from 12c to 19c, but I am stuck on a particular issue that I cannot seem to resolve. I chose the manual method (expdp/impdp) as this is what is endorsed by IFS and recommended by the consultants. Does anyone have any experience in creating your own certificate for IFS using a Windows Server 2016 Certificate Authority? I have created my CA located on my domain controller within AD, created templates in AD CS, created a csr from my middleware server, then exported the certificate with the private key, but when I try to use it during the IFS installation, it fails the verify stating “Certificate verification failed: signature check failed”
I have a virtualized instance of IFS Apps 10 running under vmWare workstation on my laptop, fully updated to UPD18 and, as a time saver, wondered if there was a proven and safe way to “move” this copy of IFS_HOME (the middleware server folder structure) from one server to another? I have successfully deployed delivery 2016 (UPD17+UPD18) to my IFS test environment, but have run into an error while applying the included Touch Apps manual installation on my utility server. The Touch Apps database is a separate database from IFS and I have verified IFSTAS and TASRUNTIME user/password within the the TAS database and verified the IFSMOBILITY user/password within the IFS TEST1 database, but received an "Access denied" when the installation runs.Product Version: 10.18
We have a report in IFS Apps 10 under IFS Business Reporter that was designed and and implemented over a year ago and up until the beginning of the month work correctly. Now, no matter whether you “Order” the report from within IFS, or launch IFS Business Reporter through Excel, as soon as the report is “run”, the “Conditional Formatting” rules within the Excel worksheet move from “This worksheet” into “Hidden:sheet_1”, even though there are no “hidden” sheets. This only happens when pulling the data from our production system. If we run the same worksheet through BR against any other environment (DEV, TEST etc.), the “Conditional Formatting” rules remain and the selected data that matches the conditions are highlighted as designed. This does not appear to be related to any IFS UPD levels, as we have had it succeed in both UPD8 (TEST1) and UPD12 (TEST2), but fail consistently in UPD8 (PROD).
I have a need to modify my mWO pages (via Apps for Page Designer) using several ‘Contexts’ which seems all well and good until I try to add these Page Configurations to an Application Configuration Package. My hope was that I could select only the Page Configurations that are associated with a particular ‘Context’, but it would seem that any Page Configuration that is of the same Projection is added to the ACP as well. I only selected one Page Configuration when choosing “Add to package” and IFS selected the second Page Configuration (associated with a different ‘Context’) and added it to the ACP as well. Is this the default behavior for ACPs that include Page Configurations? Is my assessment correct that it relates to the fact that these Page Configurations come from the same Projection or is there some other link between the Page Configurations? I really want to manage the Page Configurations by each ‘Context’, and not by ‘Projection’. Does anyone have any insight into the matter? BT
I have one user who regularly accesses the IEE screen “Project Management, Reporting, Supplier Invoices” (see pointer # 1 in attached PDF) and is met with a notification for “Slow network mode” as seen (pointer #2). If she clicks on the hyperlink (pointer #2), the message goes away, the question mark (pointer #3) turns into a number based on attachments and it shows the available attachments for this screen. She has no trouble accessing the attached document(s), but this seems like something is wrong within her user account and this is a nuisance. I have had her try this from another computer and she gets that same error. Furthermore, I have tried this as another user on the same workstation, and this user does not get the error and no one else has reported this issue! Could this be a permissions problem? Any other ideas on what to check?
We are looking to update our employee evaluation process and want to compare what is available in Apps10 to some other system that we have in place. Problem is, we are having a difficult time finding instructions regarding the setup of this system. It would appear that there is some basic data that must be in place as well as additional permissions, but all we can seem to find is how to use the system once it is setup. We are interested in finding other IFS Apps 10 users who have implemented the Performance Evaluation capabilities within IFS Apps 10 to get some insight into setup and use cases. We are currently on UPD16 and would prefer to have most of the activity occur through Aurena, but understand that there may be parts of this (specifically the setup of basic data etc.) that may need to be done in IEE. Recently, our newly deployed workstations have been handling EDM files (attachments within IFS) differently than prior configurations. Is there a setting that defines what the IEE does when a user selects a linked document (i.e. a vendor invoice that have been uploaded to EDM and attached to the Posting Proposal). In the past this action would simply show a view of the actual document (PRF, JPG etc.), but now IFS EE triggers a “Save” dialog and will not let the user see within IEE (they must save the file then open it separately in the default viewer (depending on the file type).
Is there a way to enable verbose logging for HTTP(s) requests to middleware server listening on tcp port (i.e. 48080, as configured during installation)? Getting “You don’t have permission to access /open-connect-provider on this server” while attempting to use reverse proxy to connect to TouchApp server.
If we happen to need to restart the IIS web site for our TouchApps server, then TouchApps no longer works (503 error when loading customer portal page)
I have a certificate that is about to expire and have down loaded the new cert in .cer format. Since this is a renewal, do I need to create a CSR again from my server and rekey the certificate through my CA, or is there a simple way to update the cert without a new private key? P.S. This is IFS Apps 10, UPD8 running under Windows Server 2016

In preparation for our next UPD delivery, I am trying to cleanup our development environment and remove several instances of IFS apps 10 from our middleware server. What is the best practice to remove an installation of apps 10 from the middleware server in order to free-up resources (ports, memory, disk space etc.)?
While working with Work Tasks in Aurena, the user receives the error “Insufficient Privileges” when selecting the tab “Allocate Resource”. This did not occur prior to UPD8, but wondering if this is a simple permissions changes brought on by UPD8 or another bug?
During the installation of our UPD8 delivery in the APPS10 DEV environment, the installer completed, but reported database errors. Where are these logs located (eg. server & folders locations)?
During the installation of UPD8, we are encountering many errors of a similar nature: !!!Error occurred while executing Plsql Block at 23-MAY-21 00:53:45BEGIN Installation_SYS.Set_Projection_Snapshot_;END;ORA-06550: line 2, column 19:PLS-00302: component 'SET_PROJECTION_SNAPSHOT_' must be declaredORA-06550: line 2, column 2:PL/SQL: Statement ignored The installer ran like this producing many error in the “logging window”, then eventually hung after about 14 hours. This did not occur during the 4 attempts of UPD8 in our test environments.
These processes seem to be holding up the installation of UPD8 in apps 10 . . . I am applying the UPD8 to my PROD environment and the installer has been stuck on IalObjectSlave.apy for over an hour! Is this normal? I do not remember this taking this long in our test installs?
I recently tried to install a Touch Apps server in my Apps 10 (UPD6) test environment, and continually received an authentication error even though we have confirm IFSMOBILITY user is active and password is correct. Once I cancelled the installation and tried to re-run, I not get the following immediately upon “Run as Administrator” on RAS installer:
A week ago, I successfully installed UPD5 to Apps 10 in my DEV environment with only one error reported in the installer.log and no errors reported in the IFSDEV10_configuration.log.
