in SAP it is possible to delegate an authority level for another employee during the Manager’s vacation. Is it available in IFS, so that POs, postings etc can be authorized by another person during only the vacation of a Manager. Can you please help understand how to do it with screenshots maybe?
We have a customer in IFS Applications 9 and they use IFS Time Clock. Their existing cards start character is 2 and now they have some new cards as has the start character 3. In “Employee Card Parameters” they have 2 in the field “Card parameters: Start Characters”. How to set up the parameters, for them to use both their old cards as their new ones. We are trialling Time Clock from this weekend. Our setup is: IFS Applications 10 UPD 7. Time Clock setup with 3 buttons - In, Out and Reset. And a barcode scanner that scans the card Is there a way to setup Time Clock where we don’t have to click on In or Out etc., and just swipe the id card barcode?
HiI have a question regarding sick-leave and increment that I do not completely understand.I studied the topic entered some time ago but I don’t feel that I completely understand it. So here is my problem:Day 1 the sick person should not have any salary - one wage code for that and snould have no increment.Day 2 the sick person should have sick-leave pay - another wage code for that.AND the person has also right to increment from sick day 2. If I report sick-leave to the system then understand that I move from absence period 1 (where I get no pay) to absence period 2 (when I should get paid) “automatically”? Or do I have to report this absence two times? And if I want the person to get paid according to the schedule I guess I should choose absence calculation period type “Working hours” and nothing else? Grateful for any hits and tips here!
I would like to have a common time reporting in Aurena where the Employee should be able to report time both on projects or work orders. In IEE this is possible from the Time registration window, however when I open Aurena for the same user I only have the option to report time on Project. Should it be possible to also register time on work orders and how do I set it up to enable time reporting for both?
What are the possible solutions Available to implement Data level Access control in IFS, apart from existing Company, Site and access control functionality in CRM. For E.g. Oracle provides different access permissions for Data and Screen how can that be achieved in IFS. Are there any new functionalities added to security / permission setup around data access control?
Hi I'm trying to work out the best way to send an email event to notify mangers/supervisors to authorise expenses. I have tried to trigger from the existing event ‘Expense state change’, the streams Table, expense header table but I'm struggling to be able to define the intended target email address. (it works if i hard code an email address in). i get the error message ‘To’ field is not specified.The stream works as intended We are using Apps 10 UPD 8 Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks
Shop Floor Workbench Clocking. No Out Clocking on Interval. Date Not Calculated. No Changes Allowed.
Dear community. When an employee starts indirect/production using the Shop Floor Workbench they are prompted with a Warning that they have not registered an attendance In clocking (as we do not clock in/out). This creates a record on the interval tab of the Time Card Day with the in time. When the employee stops indirect/production the MFG clocking/results are created but no OUT time is created, so the employee can finish for the day and the Out clock never gets populated. Then the employee can try to book in Time Registration to another indirect shop order and they get the message It is not calculated as there is no end clocking, but what will insert the end clocking since the employee doesnt clock for attendance, only for shop orders? This error then stops any entry on the time registration , even for other days, and no results are generated for that day, so the day can not be authorized for payroll transfer. What am i missing ? Trying to create a custom event to display an information message on when the user clicks SAVE after receiving item in Receive Shop Order. Select Shop Order on the Inventory Receipt tab input Quantity Received Save the record Initially, I created the event against LU InventoryPartInStock and table INVENTORY_PART_IN_STOCK_TAB. Is this the right area to catch the receipt or is there a better place? The information message is to prompt the user questioning if they have printed the required label(s). Hi, Please see the screen of Inventory Transactions History below. You can find Posting error checkbox ON. I would like to find why those errors appeared. 2 lines from top to 2nd might just transfer Inventory from Stock location to shipment location then 3rd line shows parts delivery to customer. The invoice is still NOT issued. In my thought, financial transaction may not be needed, so the checkbox “Has Erroneous Postings “ shows ON with the meaning of Posting NOT required…. Please advice me thet my thought is correct or not. if NOT, please let me know how to check the error and solve it. Regards; Yasuda

Hi All, We are using IFS 8 SP2 Foundation, We have recently applied the binary patch of 188.8.131.52 and we observed due to this patch the zoom functionality of Custom Field(Persistent and Reference Type) has stopped working and throwing an error “Invalid Identifier”. Has anyone faced similar issue and able to find a solution from IFS. Do let me know. Please see below query of a reference custom field when we use zoom in a screen. Training events are often registered after the actual training have taken place just to keep a record of the trainings held. When adding participants to training event we very often get warning message “Training participant xxx might be unavailable for the training due to absence. See the reference text column for more details.In reference text we see Time Card Absence;Looking at employee time card we see that employee was present during this day.Does anyone know the logic used? On the training events there is only start and end date and nr of hours but no start time.
Hi, Can someone guide me on how to use an image stored in the database table in an operational report? I have stored the image as a blob in the database. And I was trying to fetch the image using a select statement. But, it is not showing the image even though it shows the value of the string when trying to preview the report.
