Hi,I have two checking accounts. I am transferring money from one account to the other. What is the best way to post it in IFS. Both are ledger accounts so it will not allow a Mixed payment. I can do an external voucher upload but then that transaction is not included in the “Query - Cash Account Balance”.Any help would be much appreciated…Thanks,Debbie

Bulk Move Inventory

Hi therehope you are all doing well!Our organisation are taking on a new warehouse and moving many thousands of lines of stock into the new warehouse. I’m hoping for some advice on how whether it is possible to move inventory in bulk in a more efficient way than creating transport tasks. I’ve been looking at the migration tool and was wondering whether this could be used or if there Are any other options? We’re currently using Apps 9. Thank you to you all in advance 😀

Currency rates for Sales Price Lists

Hello,A customer of ours uses sales price lists for their customers. They have now two sales locations (UK and US) outside their main office in the Netherlands (NL). UK and US sales locations are treated as customers. Customers outside of the Euro zone got orders priced in Euros. So no matter what country the customer is in.The sales locations UK and US procure products from the NL location. They do this via their connected price list in Euro’s.Main company wants these, for NL sales, to be handled in the currency of the receiving country. So UK will buy products and the sales order in NL is raised in GBP. For US this means sales orders in USD.New pricelists must be prepared in both GBP and USD.This is done in site for company NL which has currency code EUR.When a part is raised in the new price list (stated in GBP for example) the base price for the part is calculated against a currency rate set.Is there an option to use a specific currency rate set as US and UK sales locations have a

Unable to load column information for view in Query Builder.

It is not possible to load column information for view in Query Builder.The message: "Failed to load columns"is displayed, and can't create a query using the query builder.Following are the steps followed to recreate the issue.1. Login to IFS Enterprise Explorer as Application Owner2. Execute new creation on the "Query Builder" screen.3. Enter the Title name as "Test Query".4. Enter "SITE" or any other LU at Search views to see a list of views.5. Unable to refer to view column. The message: "Failed to load columns …" appears.6. An error occurs when selecting a view, right-clicking, and executing "Add All to Columns".We have tried refreshing the following cache elements and still the result is same.1. Dictionary Cache2. Reference Cache.

Insert GROUP_ID into IDENTITY_INVOICE_INFO

Hello,I have a problem with the integration of some data from an Oracle database into IFS. I have succeeded to insert information about supplier into SUPPLIER_INFO_GENERAL table, but fail to do so for IDENTITY_INVOICE_INFO.The error i get is : Catch : ORA-20110: Group 0 does not exist.On the other hand i have group 0 both in tables INVOICE_SUPPLIER_TYPE_GROUP and INVOICE_PARTY_TYPE_GROUP_TAB Any idea please ?

Automatic connect photo to an IFS Object

Hello,Is there anybody that has the following in place: user takes a picture and the photo is automatically uploaded to a server. Some script runs frequently and scans the photo (its name) and connects it automatically to an object in IFS.I know it is not easy, but have an idea how to connect the photo to the correct object, if the name of the photo contains the key of the object (think of a project number in the name of the photo to know the project is the object in IFS).Problem that I face is that the name of the photo needs to change on a regular base. Today project 23, the next day project 2998. I’m thinking of a camera with FTP or iPad with photo link to directory that IFS can read one way or the other. Still the name of the photo is a sequence number that is hard to change automatically.AI might help, I think, but have no idea how (maybe barcode in photo??)Any idea is helpful.Thanks

Simple interface - Creating a CSV from IFS

We have a few consultant designed interfaces at present, which work well but I would like to start creating simple ones myself.For this example, I need to create a CSV output on a scheduled basis, with the output file having data placed in columns specific to my needs.Is there a guide on easiest way to achieve this?Possibly in the future, may also use an input file but think I will be using external file loads and running them manually at the moment.Thanks

Capture hours worked on tooling creation

Hi IFS champions! We want to capture hours spent making tooling for our production process. We have explored using Work Orders, Shop Orders but both have their pitfalls as well as benefits.Ideally, need to capture time spent (real-time or retrospectively) against each Tooling item manufactured. Needs to be a simple process as these colleagues are not IT literate!We are not currently doing anything with tooling, apart from creating them in IFS and attaching them to the Shop Order for manufacturing.Any thoughts? n.b. we are on IFS2003 :(

can someone explain how the amount discount is calculated in customer order line if there is tax code defined for the line? cause in my case i can see that, the amount discount gets changed based on the tax code which i dont want. [both for app-9 and app-10]

Manual Time Balance Reconciliation - odd dates

The client is upgrading from Apps8 to Apps10 and when we look at the manual Balance Reconciliation Status we expect to get dates from the first in the month until the last. But we get dates in the middle, why does this happen and what can we do to make it work as we want (1-31 Month X)?

Can I use C90 (Cost Source) to drive Work center cost to different GL Accounts?

What I did,Created a Cost Source Connect the Cost Source to Work Center at Cost Details Basic Data Created posting control M41 and connect it with Control Type C90 At Posting Control Detail connect Cost Source to an Account. What I expect;Once I report machine time, I expect the cost goes to the relevant GL Account based on the above mapping using Cost Source and WorkCentre. Am I doing the correct thing? Is C90 meant to be use like above? If not how can I use C90?

Inventory turnover figure to purchase requisition line?

I was wondering whether somebody has good tips on how to provide our buyers with Inventory turnover figure to purchase requisition line to help them sanity check the future PO line and planning data in general. I’ve been looking at API’s and available views but a good candidate for the information source has not popped up… This information would be really helpful for reducing the inventory levels in long term. Apps9 - ESTIMATES EXTENSION - Why do Estimate cost build up show labor costs for purchased raw parts??

We had a case where customer was using Apps9 ESTIMATES Extension and customer reported erroneous costs on Estimates cost build up.It was bringing in high labor costs for purchased raw parts… labor costs are only supposed to happen for manufactured parts.This customer was using configurations and whenever they selected a different sub assembly/compressor (i.e. different from the one they acquired via the RMB Load from template) via edit configurations and recalculated the costs on the estimate, the problem was noticed. From the SQL point of view, your estimate in error will show up when you run the following SQL (and you can add an “and” condition to include your estimate_id). In an ideal situation, the following SQL is not supposed to return any rows, but if it does (whether in Apps9 or Apps10), you have a cost build up problem with that estimate.select Estimate_Node_API.Get_Displaytext(estimate_id, estimate_revision_no, node_id) item_name,a.* from ESTIMATE_NODE_COST_TAB awhere cost

Intercompany AR/AP - Out of Balance Fixes Needed

Good afternoon, I’m seeking an IFS solution for a recurring issue that my company sees - out of balance intercompany accounts after consolidation. We have many legal entites in the group, many of these trade with one another (one may purchase goods on behalf of another, or may pay salaries for employees that are seconded to projects completed by other entities etc). When accounting entries are posted, to move costs from one entity to another, this is done via two journal entries (or one, if combined into one upload)E.g.
