Hours to authorize employees with zero hour schedules

One of our Managers see some remaining hours to authorize against a few employees along with a zero hour schedule. It appears as if employees without a time schedule have reported hours? How should he handle it?

Payment Methos CEPA does not exists for th ecustomer xxx

We get the above error when creating a collective invoice for the specific customer. The straighforward fix would be to add the payment method ‘CEPA’ to the customer > payment > payment methods right? But the problem is we don’t use CEPA

Non Project Hours - where do they end up?

When we are resgistering time, we report let’s say 3 of the regular 8 hours under a specific project activity. The rest of the hours are just reported without a project activity. With time, can we see in somewhere in IFS those ‘non project’ hours we reported? What’s the specific screen in IFS for that in IFS9?

Issue Materials - Dispatch Report

Hi AllOur German site need the below setup to comply with a legal requirement there: When issueing material from the Project Navigator, they need to generate a dispatch number and record subcontractor details and the date issued. Do you know if an existing report in IFS could help with that or any other creative way of doing it? App9 UPD14 is used right now, but will be on cloud soon. Thanks,Asela

Open PO with periodic invoicing

We have the following requirement. Discussed with several experts and finally posting here since we didn’t come across a solution that covers this 100%. Maybe the experts in the following forum can direct me in the right direction. We release a Purchase Order to our caterer 12 months prior with a approved value. The total value of the services are not going to exceed this original amount. However the caterer provides services at an agreed rate and the total amounts for each month may vary significantly. We need to settle the monthly invoices then and there! The variance is such that a previously agreed supply schedule cannot be accomodated. Ideally the payments should be authorized when the supplier sends the invoices. We have explored the following possibilities We explored the blanked PO option. But probably a PO line with partial receipts might be the best option. Wanted to understand what the others maybe using for a similar requirement. Thanks! We are in IFS9 and hope to go to 23R

New Employee creation - Work Address and Work Mobile

Hi AllWhen creating a new employee, I cannot figure out from where the values for the work address and the work location are fetched. I thought its from Company details > Offices, but the work mobile isn’t a part of it. Updating Sales Prices for all parts - Overall Impact

We maintain Sales parts only in one site and sold out from there. We have a month end inventory revaluation process during which we create a simulated inventory value. Now we made a decision to update all Sales Parts’ sales prices to a higher price since we identified that we have been charging less. We can do that via a data migration in IFS9 we are using. I understand how the sales prices work in the CO and the quotation. (e.g. changing sales prices can affect pegged orders, etc) Apart from that, I need to understand how updating sales prices like this will affect the financials side. e.g. maybe Inventory Value Simulation and Financial Analytic tools in IFS? Note that Prices Lists are separate. Also open orders will be taken care of. Hence they are of no concern.

Sales Contract Value and the % per Line / Item

I understand when you create revisions per sales contract, you can add a Sales value for each line item like below: However, my client needs to show the total contract value in one field and % value per each line item. Application for Payment not refreshed

We are on App9 UPD14 and just created an AFP. But it dosen’t reflect the values from the Sales Contract. All the prerequisits are fullfilled. The contract is in the Active status.The contract revision is in the Active status.The default project and revenue activity exists on the contract.A general report code is defined as a default value on the contract and it is a valid report code on the revenue activity.Refreshing from the header dosen’t help.

No longer receving email notifications from the Community

I’ve encountered this situation a few months ago. Since then until now, I stopped getting all the email notifications from the Community for some reason. Before that happened, I used to get all the emails as per the preferences I chose in the profile settings. Now no more emails to subscribed subforums, discussion threads, private messages, etc. Espacially when I post a topic, its pretty annoying that I get no notification when someone answers it. Checked in in my spam, not there too. @Community team, pleaes help. Thanks,Asela

IFS 9 to Cloud Upgrade anyone?

Hello Can any IFS Customers, Partners or IFS Consultants in the Community elaborate on an upgrade you’ve made from IFS App9 to the Cloud?We are in App9 UPD14, we are debating to go through App10 or not. What do you think?We have quite a lot of customizations and configurations and maybe, only maybe, some of them will not be needed after the upgrade. Thanks!

Possible deadlock on WorkOrder

We have a couple of work orders with the following issue. For WO we ordered materials, i.e part nr. 100024743, but that one line was never used.The PO and the PR are closed, logistics Issued with Internal Transfer, but now the MR can not be closed, and thus the WO and the Activity cannot be closed respectively. Usually the Material Order can’t be closed until material on the PO is issued, but we never used the materials.What would be the best way to close the Material Requisition here?

Time Registration - Popup Information / Error Message when extra hours recorded

I am referring to the window Human Resources > Time Management > Time Registration in IFS9 that we use. When someone reports, say, 10 hours its nice to have a popup asking them to make mandatory attendance notes. In your view, would we need a customization To have a warning Only Information Message ?What would be a good workaround without going through a customization?

Standard Cost Missing for Part

When converting the Purchase Requisition lines to PO, the following error occures: “ Standard cost missing for part xxxxxx with configuration id * ” Strange thing is when the same user does the same steps for another PO for exactly the same parts under same settings, the error naver occured. I checked the setup for those parts, they all have ‘Zero Cost Forbidden’ with Estimated Material Cost and the Unit Cost in the Inventory Part zero. But the SfPP has a cost. Is this possible?

IFS Demo Environment for testing purposes

Can anyone share a link to access an IFS Demo environment where we can test flows? We use IFS App10 UPD9 and we have a few customizations for business requirements. In some instances we like to test a flow in the standard IFS before actually reporting to IFS Support organization. Before actually ordering a new IFS module, we’d like to test too if we have such an environment. Thanks.

One Site per Company Setup

One of the previous companies I’ve worked with is registered in IFS as a single-site-per-company. In reality that company has multiple sites under same company with the same country. But in IFS, those sites are registered as diferent addresses only. Those days I was thinking of a way to change it, but I couldn’t. What do you think will be the negative issues as a result of this incorrect setup? Do you think they’ll manage to change it at all, given there have been a huge transaction history of about 10 years after the initial IFS rollout?

Contractual Performance Withholding and Warranty Retention

We have agreements with some of the customers and sub contractors we are working with for some of the services we deliver with regards to the payments they owe us [We don’t use Customer Agreement functionality in IFS yet and in App9] Invoce 1: There’s a down payment for € 1,000 + 19% VAT - When the CO is released, this has to be settled by the Custmer Invoice 2: At an agreed milestone with the cutomer [Note that the customer retains 10% contractual withholding cost of € 2,200] Invoice 3: At another milestone of delivering more quantities of the 2 services [Note that the quantities here are cumulative, so is the 10% Contractual Performance Withholding retention by the customer which makes the total retention is € 6,750 only at this point by the customer Invoice 4 [Final Invoice] - The services are fully delivered now and the rention goes down to 5% only via a new item called Warrenty Retention, meaning that the balance between € 6,750 and € 5,400 is returned by the customer now T

Lobby Element: PO Lines not conneted to CO Lines

I am about to configure the above mentioned lobby element. I thought the solution would be simple, i.e. exclude demand Codes like Purch Order Trans, Purch order Dir, Int Purch Trans, Int Purch Dir. However, I observed that there could be PO lines having Demand Code = Invent order, but still conneted to a CO in ‘Supply Chain Purchase Order Analysis’. Isn’t this understanding correct? If yes, what do you think would be an appropriate way to develop this lobby element?

'Closed Date' field in the Purchase Order Receipt

What’s the sigficance of IFS letting you manually enter this value? I mean, it automatically gets filled when the following conditions are fullfilled. The receipt status is Received All invoices that are matched to the receipt are posted. The complete arrived quantity has been invoiced or returned.This is fine. But my problem is this: Sometimes my user, immediately after a receipt, manually enteres a value in this field in order to complete the project activity. He dosen’t mind about invoice matching or anything about the received lines. I am wondering why IFS lets you manually enter a value even when Invoiced qty =0, given the situation I experienced?

Copy Costs to Cost Set One Output

We would like to compare the output of ‘Create Simulated Inventory Value’ with that of ‘Copy Costs to Cost Set One’ for our Inventory Revaluation process. Is there any way that the output generated from ‘Copy Costs to Cost Set One’ job preferably exported to excel? App9 UPD14

Material Requisition Cannot be Closed

Test PlanCreated and released 2 Material Requisition lines for 2 different Purchase Parts on the same MR. RMB on each of the above lines show that 2 Purchase Requisitions created respectively. [No Project connection] Both the PRs processed and converted to the Pos. Out of the two, only one PO is received and closed. After issuing the materials of the relevant line of that PO, the MR header is in ‘Partially Delivered’ state Now the user cancels the other PO and selects ‘No’ to the question to reopen PR lines. So the PR remains in the closed state Now how shall I close the MR?The user actually changed the Due Qty to zero on the MR line and tried to remove the line. But it gives the following message.“The Material Requisition Line Demand “1” is used by 1 rows in another object (Material Requisition Purchase Order) IFS App9 UPD14IFS Support Case ID CS0109018
