Crystal Reports Web Service Setup Problem

Hi @Alex Ivkovic, It seems  you are using a view named PART_REVISION in your report. IFS only supports standard report views(views that end with _REP) in Crystal Reports and if you use any other view, then you need to grant SELECT privileges on them to IFSPRINT and IFSSYS users.  Please try granting the above mentioned view and see if there is any difference.  Hope this helps!   Perfect! LOB Storage

Hi Mathias, We are remaining on prem, we are just doing an upgrade to the IFS cloud version.  The time is really spent on the data pump import.  Will the new repository type work in an on prem situation?

Mobile interface for agents

The app does not seem to have the ability to assign tickets and work on them.for agents.  I have attached a word doc with the issues. We do have a case open with assyst and have provided the same attachment

How can I create a login that works for both AssystNet and AssystWeb?

Hi, we normally use a pre-fix for the assystNET users. You can define this prefix during the installation of assyst when you are adding your authentication provider. we normally use a prefix 'ad-’. so if your network login is:john.doe@company.com and you need to be able to login to both assystWeb and assystNeet you will need to create the users as follows: for assystWeb shortcode: john.doe@company.com for assystNet Login: ad-john.doe@company.com and as said, in the installer you define the Contact User Prefix as ad-.   Dimitri Dimitri,If we have already installed can we just run the installer again and add this?

Print Server Hiccups

I run a couple of instances of the print server on the same server. I set a few of them up as services but I also run 1 manually (console session) that way all I have to do is kill it and start a new console session.  I just close the RDP window (don’t log out)

MWO - Getting Value Cert error while installing

That was it! I created a self signed certificate and the installation proceeded past that point.Ran into a new issue Upgrading database.Upgrade complete.Getting Deploy User Name.Getting Runtime User Name.Granting Access to user 'TASRUNTIME'.Creating Synonyms for 'IFSTAS' tables.Updating Service OrderUpdating Service Instance ifstouch.Exception:Failed to SubmitChangesInnerException:ORA-12899: value too large for column "IFSTAS"."SERVICE_INSTANCE_TAB"."IFS_PASSWORD" (actual: 344, maximum: 255) The password is not too long so no idea what this is saying

It needs to be fully trusted to work Cheers James Does it need to have  a certain name or store? How will IFS know which to use?

MWO - Getting Value Cert error while installing

Looks like IFS Touch Apps Server Certificate is missing in the store. Since it’s updating an existing TAS it’s not created again by the installer. Easiest work around I can think of is to create a self signed certificate and add it to computer store Cheers James Having the same issue. The documentation says a self signed cert is not acceptable. Does the certificate have to have a particular name or location to work?

Can customer orders and lines get removed from the Application without cleanup?

If you run the Cleanup Customer Orders, then you might lost some customer orders and lines. Otherwise there is no way to delete it through the application automatically. It needs to investigate further what's happened to that customer orders.  So please create a support ticket. Then they will investigate the issue further and will give proper answer/solution. Best Regards -Kelum The problem is there are orders for the same site, in the same status that were not deleted all around the deleted orders.  There is no  combination of options in the cleanup of customer orders that would give the result we are seeing.

Not enough material when receiving

Hi Bjorn - typically in our experience it is just one material that is stopping that specific receipt.  While I suppose it could be much more couldn’t you limit it to a reasonable number and if it’s over X say “multiple parts”.  Please remember these are shop floor employees. and giving them a quick answer without having to open other reports etc would greatly increase plant efficiency as this happens rather frequently.  I think this is also dependent on the type of manufacturing. We are producing  huge volumes of parts with very few components so for us it takes a lot of time to analyze this.   Many of our bills of materials are 2 or 3 lines. Obviously IFS knows what is stopping it so it seems a rather simple matter to say “We can’t receive this because there is not enough of component xxx issued” but I may not understand the programming issue.  I don’t believe it’s necessary to even calculate the quantity  as everything is issued in batches anyway

The problem is it also shows anything that needs to be issued for future receipts. As an example our machines use rolls of film  A shop order may  need 4 or 5 roll changes . It doesn’t show what material is actually short right now

IFS 10 - Multi Sites Pros and Cons

We have 2 factories in the same town that were set up as 1 site.  We have never been happy with that solution. Things like inventory reports, shop orders, parts etc are all by site and it’s so much easier to do reporting etc. with separate sites.

Moving GL account history

It’s really a code string issueSoAccount 5001-70-30  account, business unit, department is one thingAccount 5001-60-30 is something else so the description of the account makes no senseWould like to move 5001-60-30 to 5002-60-30 if that makes sense.Problem is we would lose the history

Looks like that’s the right path, I found it in application messages. . I created the routing rule but now I get Runtime exception [null] when processing message [2066822] Caused by: java.lang.NullPointerException: null
