Access to Employee Objectives and Expenses

We are on Apps 8 and have just implemented the use of Employee Objectives. However, we have key users in Finance who need access to authorize employee expenses and payroll. Our solution to provide this access has been to grant them positional access to the level of CEO. However, now that we are implementing Employee Objectives, we don't want these people being able to see everyone’s objectives. How do we grant them access to be able to deal with expenses and payroll but remove access to objectives, other than their own?

FSM Mobile Scripting - goToScreen function

I have this simple script; alert("Trying to go to DebriefOV"); goToScreen('DebriefOverview',false); /* To be: C_opportunity_details */ The above code works OK. If I try to change the Screen name to my custom screen ‘C_opportunity_details’ - nothing happens. Please help.

when using stock search to find nearest part. user is receiving error could not acquire the current GPS location. Please activate GPS feature on this device. Doesn't happen with all users

Naming of PDFs for Customer Invoice

Hello, I’ve a customer with the requirement that he wants to define the naming of a PDF document (e. g. customer invoice) by himself. If in IFS a PDF is automatically created then the naming is like “PDF46549877987…..” for the PDF file. Is it possible in IFS to define the namings of in IFS created PDF files?

Change Document Class Code

Hi, we did not finalise coding format for Document classes, however I need to start creating some Document classes for our IFS Project . which later will be imported into Production. Is there any chance to change Document Class codes while migrating? or even at the same database? Thanks, Aida.

SSRS as a Lobby Element

In Apps8 - there was an option to display SSRS reports in the Analysis pane at the bottom of the screen. In Apps10 - the Analysis pane is now the Lobby pane. Does anyone know if there is a way to use an SSRS report as a Lobby element there? For our purchasing - we get PO status / update information from suppliers in a SQL server. Currently users get that data through an SSRS report in another window. Ideally, I’d like to display the report data in the lobby pane so it’s automatically all there for the current PO. I’m trying to not have to create new tables / LUs in Oracle and then replicate the data from SQL to Oracle.

I am new to FSM, when we have a Person, we can define Places connected to this person. In Place record, we can also connect persons to it. Why we need to define it in two places? What are the difference between those two connections?

Bank Reconciliation process - automatic Transaction Matching

Hello, We are looking to use the Bank Reconciliation process where we upload from our bank the cashed checks so we can mass “cash” them. Our daily files could be quite large. When we test this process and let’s say want to remove the bank statement due to an error, it’s telling us we need to unmatch each check first one at a time! This would be very time consuming! I remember testing this in version 7.5 and pretty positive I could just remove the whole thing without performing this function. Does anyone know of a way to remove the bank statement in version 9 without having to go to each line to unmatch? I may just be missing something in set up. Thank you in advance!

CLEAR explanations of interactions of dates on customer order and purchase order lines.

All too often, a customer will ask us about the relationship between the date fields on a customer order line and what one should or can be able to change and what the ultimate effect of those dates are elsewhere in the system. The help text can be rather unclear on these fields; target date on the customer order. It would be nice if we had a quick reference on these fields and what field should be changed and when. It would be nice to know what roles would or should change what dates. Thanks!

Setting a default value for OCCURENCE_FREQUENCY on the Risk Assessment screen.

Current Version: IFS Applications 10 UPD 6 The user has requested setting a default value for the OCCURENCE_FREQUENCY field on the Risk Assessment screen. The LOV is from the Frequency tab in Risk Potential Basic Data. The field isn’t Mandatory. Is the only way to create a Template then set the template as default? I thought I had done something similar using Conditional Fields > Create a Value Set. However, Add Value Set is greyed out for the field Frequency (Occurrence Frequency) Please advise.

Event with stream action

We have created an event, it will be triggered when the name of the user changes, the mentioned user in the custom field gets an Stream. This works, but we have one issue: What we want is, that the user, who gets the stream, immediately could go to the salespart mentioned in the stream (via the link in the stream). We think we could arrange this in the screen below, but we are not sure. Anyone who knows? At this moment, when we got to the stream, we get an empty salespart field. Thanks in advance

Does ISO20022 support FX payments?

Q1. Does the ISO20022 payment format work with foreign currency payments? When we initially set the payment file in UK we were advised that it worked only for domestic BACS payments. Can you please advise if the functionality has been extended for foreign currency payments (example SEPA payments)? Q2. If the answer to Q1 is yes, then what versions of IFS support this?

Business rule Alert - Previous Service History

i’m really stumped on how to put together this business rule. basically if a piece of equipment has been service more than 3 times within the last 30 days, we want a pop up alert to notify the user of these details. This would be before insert of a request (or after if that works best) It would be similar to how when you create a request for a place that has existing service calls

Excel Add-in - How to easily convert values to uppercase? (Apps10)

A customer is considering using the Excel Add-in for creating supplier for purchase part records. We created an Excel migration job for this and during testing we received the following error for the field Supplier Part No:The value "SOOW 16/6 16 Gauge" has incorrect format for [VENDOR_PART_NO] in Purchase Part Supplier. Should be in uppercase.How can the value in the column easily be converted to uppercase without needing any adjustment by the user in Excel? We would like to handle this via setup in the migration job. If the job was of type MIGRATE_SOURCE_DATA we could simply use the Oracle function UPPER when mapping, but we cannot figure out how to handle this for migration type EXCEL_MIGRATION.

Adding a cloumn to the Risk Object Connection screen

We use the object connections quite heavily in Apps 8, especially on Project Navigator, and I was wondering if anyone has been able to add an additional column to these, particularly the Risks object connection. I am looking to include the status column which can be found if you RMB to the Risk Analysis Navigator, however the object connection screens do not give the option to create a custom field. Does anyone know of another way this can be done? TIA

User Cannot Run Quick Report - Granted Access

I have one specific user that cannot run a quick report. She has a permission set that was granted access. I confirmed under the Manage Grants that her permission set is there and she is listed under the Users. Other people in her group that have the exact same permission sets she has can run this report. Has anyone else ever ran into this?

Demand Planner on Windows 10

we have just moved to windows 10 for all users (from windows 7) - DP ran just fine on windows7 but on windows10 the screen font is so small you cannot read it and when you move a window around it leaves a trail of windows behind it filling the screen Anyone any experience of this and perhaps a fix? Thanks Steve G

Signature on mobile WO report

Is there a way to get the customer signature entered on the mobile devices when completing a WO (MWO) to the backoffice work order report? Assume this signature is saved as a blob in the database but how can we get this into a Crystal report?

Monitor User Usage

RUnning FSM 5.7 (UPD 7) Looking for a way to track user interaction with the system. Within the User record we can see when they logged in and last logged out but we need more. They could be logged in but IDLE all day and not actually working. Any suggestions on how we could pull this data or track it?
