We are currently on APP8 moving to APP 10. I have found how to apply a warranty to a serial object with a original sale but cannot find how to add an extended warranty when purchased after the original sale. Can you help? Also will this work the same in APP 8 & APP 10 enterprise

Database session has been expired. Please restart client application for Apps8

Customer is using IFS 8 SP1+ with 2 managed server with an external load balancer.Customer is getting error in random timing “Database session has been expired. Please restart client application” on many screens.Customer is configured with Dedicated session timeout is 7200, Ideal time parameter of Oracle profile is set to unlimited. Tried reconfiguring and restarting the application server and database. By passing load balancer also we get the same issue. Database is running on RAC.Does anyone came across same issue or to identify the issue where else we can check for this timeout parameter apart from above mentioned.Answer on the below post didn't help my situation:There is no specific error in the Application and database logs.

Connection between planning resources in maintenance module and project module App10 upd 11

We are using both the maintenance module and the project module for planning resources (hours, not cost) in our company. Due to how our company is organized, we prefer to group planning hours by organization code, and not by resource group.We connect work tasks to some projects, and group all planning hours by organization code added to that specific work task.Some hours are planned directly on activities in the project module by resource group, but we are not able to find the organization code those hours are connected to in the activity section. Does anyone know if there is a solution for this issue?

Update Custom Persistent Referenced field via Migration Job

I want to setup a migration job (in IFS 10 update 11) to update a Custom Persistent Field on the Inventory Part.I read – and followed - the recommendations in Topic https://community.ifs.com/framework-experience-infrastructure-cloud-integration-dev-tools-50/updating-custom-field-via-script-1728 and everything seems OK, but the record is not updated. timeclock errors

Hi all,APPS 10 Upd11.Between the early morning hours we are having new instances of both the timeclock machines logging out or being sluggish and throwing out error messages.They work fine throughout the day time so between 12am - 6am they are “misbehaving”. We have a nightshift operation so its rather essential that timeclock works. This morning the timeclock logged out completely.It is not being caused by scheduled windows updates.Any thoughts or ideas to debug this? So far i’ve only got these two error messages to go by;

Sales quotation offline

Hi We are using IFS apps. 10We want to use the sales configurator in IFS to create sales quotations, but we need it to work offline. The use cases for offline sales work is, 1) Using the time on a plane traveling to a customer site to make a quotation. 2) It happens that you are with a customer where it is difficult to get an internet connection and even more difficult to get a VBN connection. I have only read about two solutions Maintaining and distributing a so-called version to the user of the IFS/Sales Configurator client tool - This is not possible for IFS apps. 10 Native apps. - This is not developed for the sales configuratorDoes anyone know a solution to working offline with the sales configurator in IFS? SC Matrix for Site default ship via not applied to DO

Hi brains trust, any idea why the default ship via from the Supply Chain Matrix for Site is not applied to the Distribution Order? The intersite flow for the DO is set up correctly, internal customer ship via is the same as the Matrix ship via, yet that one is not applied to the DO. The Matrix should overwrite the int customer ship via anyway, I’ve understood, but for some reason a different ship via comes up. There are no Exceptions on that line/ship via in the Matrix, no Supply Chain Part Group on the part no that was used. Any good ideas where to check next, where does the ship via come from if not from the Matrix? Thank you

Hi Community, We are exploring the Appointment Booking functionality and we understood that we can configure App Templates as blocking or non blocking. If the App template is blocking, it will block the provided slots until the external system confirm one available slot or reject the app slots request. This will also reduce the overbooking scenario. If the App template is non blocking, it will not block the provided slots until the external system confirm one available slot and it is not required the rejection call to release the slots. However, this will increase the overbooking scenario or the repeat calls to get slots since the system could reply saying that the slot is no longer available. Hello Everyone, One of our customers had directed the following question through a support case. Since it is out of support scope I’m creating this topic on behalf of the customer.“We're preparing our company for KSeF (new system for e-invoices). One of steps is checking the process invoicing. We 'd like to have possibility to create annual credit note f.ex. for realized sale, example:during the year we create 100 invoices for product (quantities = 10 000 tons, price per 1 ton = 12 pln). In the end of the year we want give our client bonus = 2 per 1 ton.We 'd like to create annual credit note for that, important thing is the price should be changed in Sale book. Upgrade recommendation

Hi Community,We have a customer who’s planning to upgrade their on-prem Apps8 environments to IFS 21R2 or whichever the latest version and will be hosted in IFS (IFS managed) on high level my plan is as below as far as technical aspect is concerned;Upgrade current Apps8 database to Apps10 latest UPD on-premUpgrade Apps10 database to Cloud whatever the latest release on-prem“Migrate” on-prem environment to IFS managed cloud. Customer Statement Template Issue

When creating customer statements our users either forget to enter a customer or customer range into the statement selection template, or move between templates causing the template to display correctly but not work as designed. What happens when this occurs is that all customers that have an outstanding balance receive an e-mail statement or one prints on our printers.We have seen this issue happen regularly, so I am looking to put in place a way of stopping it happening. I have created a blank statement template and set it as the default template, so now users must select there chosen template and enter the correct values manually.Previously users would create the statement from the customer analysis screen, and the default customer template would auto populate with the customer number. So in this scenario it takes longer for the user. This solution I would only want to be a temporary one.What I would like is to create an event that gives a warning that the user is about to creat

Dear all, we create customer direct debiting proposals with payment format SEPADB.When we create a customer payment proposal for one customer with more invoices/credit notes we just want to send a payment advice to the customer.So the setting in customer basic data is as following: When we use the RMB Print Payment Advices… the advice will be automatically send to the customer mail-address: When we create the payment file every single invoice number will be shown in the payment file instead of just one payment with the sum amount and the text “See payment advice”?How can we handle this?

How to create an invoice using a different currency code than the subcontract valuation

Hello all, Is there any way to create invoice using with different currency code than the sub contract currency codes. (İt is possible for puchase order by the way)We want to use USD currency code in sub contract / valuation but invoice will be created in company currency code (INR).We tried to create an example and there is no returned data because of different currency code when we try to match certificate per line in posting proposal screen. Hello,I work on IFS Business Reporter Excel app and I hope someone could help me with below issue - how should I create design row and repeater, considering that within that specific repeater I’d like to add two different criteria. CAMT053 Matching to customer when no invoice number

HI We are setting up CAMT053 to be used in external payment to book payments. I have manage to get the matching to work when the payer are providing invoice number, some customer are however paying only a total sum without invoice ref.In those cases we get not even customer ID even though the customer name are mention in bank transaction info 1 below. How should we set up, so in case no invoice number are mention IFS at least should pick up the customer ID. Also, Now IFS is considering supplier payments that are from payment order, but manual payments are disappearing even though they are mention in the file. No warning, Those payments are having same message code ICDT as those from the payment order, I tried to add one ICDT message code for supplier payment as well but not allowed, how is that handled? Demand Code on PO Req

I wonder if anyone can help, I have raised a po req for a number of inventory parts, this Req has then been flipped to an order. I had a descrepency with supply and demand on my part availability screen and eventually traced it back to the Demand Code on my Req line.For some reason the demand code has automatically come through as Non Inventory and i cannot find the route cause. what is more worrying is that i cannot replicate the problem when i recreate the req (comes through as Invent Order)Iv searched on the overview screan and there about 30 PO Req lines (converted to PO) in a DB of 60k inventory parts.Can anyone point me in the right direction here ?TIA
