Hello, I have two questions around setting up print servers for a cloud hosted IFS apps 10 Aurena only deployment.IFS recommends setting up print servers “as close to the physical printers as possible”. I see this as an outdated strategy. Many organizations have centralized data centers and/or cloud infrastructure and are actively trying to reduce the number of servers installed at locations, including print servers. There are low latency, high bandwidth connections that can overcome issues of the past. So, what are the actual needs for bandwidth, latency or other technical specifications to make IFS print servers work effectively so I can decide whether they actually need to be on site or in our data center?Second question, does IFS support Azure Universal Print, which is ultimately where we’re going in our infrastructure.Thanks.

Hello,we have IFS MWO Client installed and same is configured with one database server.Incase there is a failover on database then the database server will get changed. is there a way we can add 2 database servers in the connection string to take care of failover like we do in IFS Application installation.Best RegardsPankaj

Hello,I would like some guidance with Mixed Payments. Customer needs to upload Customer Payments through External Payments via csv, so I have created a new File Type. But when I upload the file, it ends in Parked Payment and does not match with the invoice. I am probably missing something or doing something wrong. Any guidance will be very helpful. Hi,Our customer uses a lot the Dispatch Console and has created many usefull filters in it, for its users.In the “Filter (Scheduling)” transaction these filters created by admins are flagged “System Filter” so he thought those could not be modified by end users. But actually, every user’s filter is flagged “system” as well and can be modified by anyone.Could you please detail the meaning of these “system filter” information, and explain how we can create some “global” filters in the Dispatch Console, which can be only updated by admins ?Thank you Alliance V15.1.0.11

A customer has custom data warehouse built in MS SQL server that they are using with multiple internal systems for reporting purposes. When using IFS Cloud they want to keep using the same data warehouse solution.What is the best way of loading data to their existing data warehouse from IFS Cloud at the database level?Is it possible to use Access Views for this purpose? if so are there any benefits of using access views for this rather than using Oracle views with direct DB connection?

In the above image, Type column is too long and I couldn’t find the end. In UI designer, width of the column is 10. I am getting this issue for particular user and one screen only. Other screens are working fine. I have changed the screen that time also i am getting the same for the same user. I have a message text in Aurena that I want to translate to Finnish language. It is a warning text that is shown on an Assistant dialog when I cancel a purchase order line that was generated from a purchase requisition line.I can find the message in Text Translations and enter a Finnish translation:However, when I refresh the language cache (for the whole PURCH component and fi language), the translation does not appear in Aurena when I use Finnish language: Anything else I need to do to refresh the translations in Aurena? I’ve come across the situation that for pages where there is custom objects added, only after I have unpublished and republished a page configuration Aurena in Page Designer, then the new translation is updated to the page. However, this Cancel Purchase Order Lines assistant is a default setup so there is no configuration to republish.Is there some special thing for “Message” sub type translations, or main type “RWC”?

We are currently running Apps10 UPD14We run nightly and weekly jobs to extract data from our IFS database, run an ETL, and then post the final information set to PowerBI.We recently discovered that some of our initial data extract statements are running noticeably slower. Our business opportunity extract starting running 7 minutes slower immediately after the UPD14 installation.Wondering if anyone else has noticed a similar performance impact and looking for suggestions to fix it
We have SSRS set up and working using the Report Data Services Data Source.We’re now running into a problem with getting the Oracle Client installed so we can use that as a Data Source also. The 32bit Oracle Client is installed, but we can’t get Oracle to show up in the Connection Type list in SSRS.Is there anything special which needs to be done to get the Oracle Client to show up in the list of Connection Types?Should we be using the 64bit Oracle Client on the SSRS server or will the 32bit Oracle Client work?
In Business Opportunity I have a user that is questioning the Totals when it comes to RevisionsUser is saying that the bottom portion of the Business Opp used to reflect the totals of that revision - we have noticed since UPD14 that the totals only reflect that of the most recent revision - is this the way it is supposed to work
I am looking for a way to group inventory items within IFS to do better reporting for their spend. For example. I have 10 codes for gloves. Is there a way to add a code for Gloves that could then be used for reporting to quickly review spend by category? If i have several categories, example, Gloves, Glasses, Abrasives, etc. Then I could run a report to see what all falls into each bucket; and as these items are requisitioned out, I can run reporting that shows the spend by group and by cost center. I don’t know where to add that level in the system - and am assuming Pre-posting will be involved - - which for inventory Items we don’t prepost, they just go to inventory, and as they are req’d out, they are then assigned a cost center.

Hi, We have a scenario where a contractor comes in to do some work on a shop order. However, it doesn’t really matter when he does the job. Once he can start, the PR may be sent. In the meanwhile, we continue the operations on the SO. When he can do the job, he can do it.example:We have a SO with 20 operations. As soon we reach Operation 5, the contractor can come. In the meantime we continue with operation 6, 7, 8, 9,… untill the end. One time the contractor will come at operation 8, other time at 10, etc. Doesn’t matter. How can we easily do this in IFS? With the outside operation, our part is ‘blocked’ untill the operation is done. Making a manual PR doesn’t connect the cost with the SO.

I am using IFS APPs 10 and would like to know what is the best method to adopt to forecast potenial demand against current capacity, for example we already have an active product structure for a sales part but wanted to see what the demand load would look against our current capacity if we were to receive an order for X amount.should we manually create the top-level part demand, run MRP and view the demand via Resource Analysis and then cancle the demand?any suggestions would be helpful regardsJamie
We need to modify the “Requested Finish Date” of a warehouse task. Following the help information it should be possible to update it if needed. But - How? The date field is inactive. Anyone any idea?
