How to set default file path when adding documents

Hi!Our finance user need add invoices to voucher often. He need select file path almost every time. Is it possible to set a default path (in LAN) or keep the path same as last time?

Shelf life for purchase part

Hi All,I use IFS 8. There is shelf life for a few purchase parts. For example, the rice shelf life is 6 months. 1. Is there a place to enter in 6 months or 180 Days in system? There are 4 fields about shelf life in Iventory Part, tab acquisition. But seems it is not for purchased part.2  And I want to enter part manufacture date & expiring date only for these parts when Register Purchase Order Arrivals. Is it possible?

Change Cost Element description

Hi!We created a new cost element and it is used in cost bucket already. Then we find we need change the description from Finish to English. Seems it cannot be changed. How can I change it? Update it from Oracle database directly? If update DB, is there other table field need change together also?We use IFS 8.

Email Order... doesn't work

HI!We use funtion Email Order… for PO. IFS will send mail to supplier automatically. Then supplier guy will reply our buyer to confirm the PO. But last week, we move our mail system from Domino to MS O365. Then this function doesn’t send mail anymore. The action setting as follow. Other mail type event if From User is not &REPLY_TO_USER. For example followed one works right. Is anyone help me? Thanks in advance!

instruction of Purchase order change order

Now a new business requirement happen in our company.  Some time we need change price of PO after PO was authorized and released. I notice there are 3 functions can change PO line price.Edit PO line price in PO directly. It will create a new PO version and created an Purchase Order Change Order automactically at the same time. Right click blank place of PO Header and select ‘Change Order → Create Change Order’ . Then it pop up Purchase Order Change Order page. Give the new price and save. Run function  Purchase Order Change Order directly. Query the PO number and then change price & save.Our detail requirement as follow.Any pric or amont change of need appove again. The approver want see old and new price when approving. For these POs, it will send message to another site sales by function Send Order. The sales approve the Incoming Customer Order. Customer Order then create CO automatically. We want update CO line price automatically by Send Change Request & Incoming Chage Requ

Error Message: Object modified by another user

We use IFS 8.  We have 2 sites, A and B.  Some time A will buy some part from site B.  Buyer released PO and Send Order. Then sales of site B will get a mail with Message ID. Sales approve this incoming CO then get a planned CO. Sales need change Wanted Delivery Date in CO Header and save it. It pops up errror message like follow picture when saving frome last week (It never happened before.).  I am sure that no other user edit this CO. Then user must quit IFS and login again. Then changing CO data and saving works. What cause it?How can I prevent it happen again?By the way, the system will create a Shop Order automatically when release CO.

Why page help doesn't work for functions under Solution Manager?

Hi all!I use IFS8. Normal I will use ‘page help’ to learn a new function, which will turn on help page from browser IE. But for functions under “Solution Manager”, it doesn’t work.For example, I try to load help page for function “Solution Manager\Configuration\Event Actions\New Event Action”. It give error message “404 - File or directory not found.” Detail please see followed pics.How can I get page help for these functions? The Product Staus is Not In Effect. It is wrong.

Hi!One user create a new Inventory Part. Then can not query it from Production Structure. I notice that the part Product Status (in tab Revision ) is Not in Effect.It is strange. Why the Product Status is Not In Effect even the Phase Out is null? This should be the reason can not query it from Production Structure. How can I make it In Effect?  How can I create BOM? How to cancel or delete an INV & Planned PR proposal?

Hi! All,I use IFS 8. Part 288900 ‘s Planning Method was set as B. Then system create PR for it. User change its Planning Method to A on 2022-08-28. Then an INV and Planned PR proposal  which was created on 2022-08-28 live in PR proposal pool always. Users always find it if search PR by Requisitioner INV and Status Planned. It congused user. Is it possible to cancel or delete this PR?Thansk your help in advance!

Why there is no Total Tax Amout in PO subtotal area when print PO?

Hi!We use IFS8. Normal there is Total Tax Amout in PO subtotal area when print PO. It looks like as follow picture. Recent we create a new site. But there is no Total Tax Amout in PO subtotal area when print all PO in this new site. It looks like this. What setting I missed for new site? Thanks in advance!

How to delete a line with non-inventory part from Material Requisition?

Hi all! I use IFS 8 now and have a Material Requisition question.One user create a line with Non-inventory part, part number 990001, in MR. He issued all other lines. Then find line with part 990001 is wrong and want delete this line. But can not delete it. Then he unissued all other lines. Try to delete this line. Can not delete it yet.Anyone can help me to delete this line or close the MR order? Thanks in advance!

How to delete a line (with non-inventory part) from Material Requisition

Hi all !I use IFS8 and have a problem now. Could you help me?One user keyin a error part number in Marterial Requisition. Part number is 990001 (non-inventory part) and supply code is purchase order.  User issued all other lines. Then find this line the part number is error. Now user can not delete this line. Then user unissue all lines. Still can not delete this line. And can not close this MR order. How to delete this line or how can I close this order?Thanks in advance!

Add concurrent jobs in database background jobs

Hi!  I use IFS 8. Each month end, there will be users compain that they have to wait 1 or more hours even run a simple daily job. I check Database Backgroud Jobs. There are many big jobs are posted at month end. Some job will running more than 2 hours. Other jobs have to wait when 1 big job is running. I guess there is only one job can run at same time. Is it possible to run 3 or 4 jobs at same time?  Thus other jobs can execute on time if 1 or 2 big jobs are running.Is anyone can help me on this? Thanks in advance!

How to change the mail subject?

Hi！ I use IFS8 now. When I print Purchase Order, I can send PDF to my mail. I want change mail subject to include PO number, then it is easy for user to know which PO is this mail. Is it possible?And we always receive double mail for 1 PO. How can Ireduce 1 mail?

PO status was changed to Planned after part authorize

Hi! I use IFS8. Buyers meet this kind of problem almost once per month. The PO need 2 user’s approval. The buyer released a PO. The first one approved it. Then the PO status changed to Planned. The second one can not approve it. Buyer had to release this PO again and the first one approve it again also. Then the second one can see and approve this PO.Is there someone else have this kind of problem? Is it a bug? Or something happened buy I don’t know.

Wrong total tax amount and total gross amount in PO

Hi! I meet a strange question today.  In one Purchase Order, the Total Tax Amt/Curr and Total Gross Amt/Curr is not equal the summery of all lines.Is it IFS bug? Or buyer give some other data error? Is anybody can give me some clue? Thanks!

How to forbidden system cancel purchase order together when cancel a sub-contract operation in shop order?

Hello all!  Sometime, some operations is sub-contract in our shop order, because we have no capacity. A purchase requisition will be created automatically When ‘Ship WIP to suppliers’. Then buyer release PR and ‘requisition to order’. But sometime, after done these actions, the planner find we have capacity to manufacture this operation in our workshop, don’t need sub-contract this time. Then planner user reverse WIP shipment. Then delete this operation. At the same time, the related purchase order is canceled also. But buyer don’t want planner have right to cancel purchase order line, because buyer need confirm the PO status with supplier first. Maybe the supplier has finish the production, the PO line can not be canceled.My question is, how to forbidden planner user cancel PO line when he delete the sub-contract operation? The system just delete this operation. Don’t do anything on related purchase order line. The planner need inform buyer and then buyer do the action ‘cancel PO line

How set field 'Perform Check' of Purchase Part checked as default

 Hi! I use IFS 8. Is anybody can help me? I want set ‘Perform Check’ checked as default when user create new purchase part. Otherwise user forget check it often. We will have problem when purchase order received. For example, warehouse user receive 500 pcs because enter one more 0 but the order quantity is 50 pcs.I have searched in community. There is some answers that can set default value by using the Default tab(RMB of a window-> Properties->Object Properties dialog box ). But I can not find default tab. I am not sure if IFS8 support this function.Thanks in advance! And Happy New Year to you!

How to delete an existing IAL?

Hi! Everyone,  Is there anybody can help me on this issue.I use IFS8.  In function IAL Object Developer, how can I delete an existing IAL when it is not used anymore? Seems the button ‘delete’ is always inactive.

How to know all settings existing in Setup History Log

Hi ! Everybody, Is there anyone can help me on this topic?I USE IFS8. In function Solution Manager\Configuration\Logs and Queues\Setup History Log, how can I see all settings existing quickly? So I know if they is the log setting already which I want. Otherwise I have to take about 3 minutes to find the component, table and field.   And is there anyone can give me a simple instruction on how to choice Sub forum? I really don’t know which sub forum should I select for this question.

Is that table INTFACE_JOB_HIST_DETAIL_TAB just save records which is failed?

Hello all, I want confirm one thing.I notice that one line will be added to table INTFACE_JOB_HIST_HEAD_TAB once I execute a migration job. But I can not find any records in table INTFACE_JOB_HIST_DETAIL_TAB if all rows are migrated successful.Is it the table INTFACE_JOB_HIST_DETAIL_TAB just save records which are failed?Thanks in advance!
