WaDaCo - Data Collection Configuration

Hi,Anyone have any deep level document on Data Collection Configuration for data collection processes of WaDaCo, specially for Report Picking of Handling Units (REPORT_PICKING_HU) and Report Picking of Parts (REPORT_PICKING_PART) ?I have referred online documentation on this, but it doesn’t give any deep level understanding.Actually the requirement is that the WaDaCo users need to see the Part Number (display the part no) as a step or see it as a column in another step at least, in the Report Picking of Handling Units process.But, I checked, the Part No is not there in the Items in the Configuration window, so I cannot set the Part No as a step to select part no from list, or show it as a column in list for another step.Part No is not there in the Items tab What I thought was, if the users need to see the Part No, use the “Report Picking of Parts” process instead, because it has the Part No as a Data Item, so can be configured to show the Part No as a step and select from the List the

ASC (ASC Shipment) module and ASC documentation in IFS

Set a quantity level in warehouse/location when refilling

Hi,Is there a way to set a quantity level of a part (like safety stock in inventory part level in overall) in a specific location, so that refilling of the part to that location will be triggered, only when the qty of the part falls under a specific qty in that location ?For an example, part A is there in location X and location Y, and location X need to be refilled from location Y, only of the qty of part A in location X is under 10. IS there a standard functionality achieve this. Any way to achieve this ?I have tried putaway zones functionality, by ranking the storage zone for location X, above storage zone for the location Y, and after running/scheduling the task “Refill All Putaway Zones”, a transport task is created to move all the qty in location Y to location X, since I have not defined any storage requirement restrictions. Object Connection Transformations for sourced (from another OCT) attachments

I have a question that >>>> When an attachment (document object) in current LU (LU-2) is inherited (sourced) from another LU (LU-1) through an Object Connection Transformation, the attachment in the LU-2 does not appear in a new LU (LU-3) when the OCT has been configured for LU-2 and LU-3. The attachments originally attached to the LU-2 is successfully transferred to LU-3. Is this how the functionality works (limitation ?) ? Actually, the requirement is to transfer the attachments in the ShopOrderOperation LU (for outside operations where a purchase order is connected) to PurchaseOrderLinePart LU. For that, there is an in-built (system-defined) OCT. It works for attachments attached to the ShopOrderOperation LU itself. But, there are attachments inherited from other OCTs (from InventoryPart, EngPartRevision, etc), and these are not transferring to the PO line with that OCT setup. MS Level 1 calculation is also automatically run after MRP is run

Hi, Does someone know why the MS Level 1 calculation is automatically run, when the MRP is run, and MRP process is completed.I have checked in 3 App10 environments and I got the same results. Please see below in the progress text details in the background job. And, I have checked this by running MRP for a site in App9 environment, and it stops after finishing the MRP job. Nothing related to MS Level 1 calculation. Is this a difference introduced in App10 version, or is there some setting to control the behavior ? Thanks

Link type Lobby element does not work when data source from Saved search from CO Line

Hi,A saved search was created for the Customer Order Lines window as below. And then, that saved search was used to create a Lobby Data source. the VIEW is populated automatically with the saved search, since the VIEW is that in the Customer Order Lines screen.Then, a Link type lobby element was created using the created data source. And as you can see, the Page field cannot be selected, and it is empty. (It should be Customer Order Lines I think). And due to that reason, from this element, the screen cannot be navigated by clicking on the link in the element in the lobby. I have tested, and this problem exists for any saved search from the Customer Order Lines screen.As a workaround, I can change the VIEW to CUSTOMER_ORDER_LINE in the data source and resolve the issue. Any reason, anyone of you are see / know why this functionality does not work for the CUSTOMER_ORDER_JOIN view ?CUSTOMER_ORDER_JOIN is the view used for the Customer Order Lines screen, anyway. Overlap functionality in shop order scheduling

In shop order operations, it seems that the Overlap functionality does not work correctly. While CBS and APB are not used, and Infinite scheduling is used, see the below example,Calendar configuration has 5 working days (Mon-Fri) 8 AM to 12 PM and 1PM to 5 PM (8 hour day).Work center utilization - 100 %, all operations efficiency - 100%, Resource capacity of the WC - 100Operation 10 has 24 Machine Run Time (unit - Hours) and no set up timeOperation 15 has 12 Machine Run Time (unit - Hours) and no set up time and have a Overlap of 50 percentSame work center for both operation.As I understand, the start date/time of the second operation should be 12 hours (50% of 24 hours) after starting of the first operation, which should be 1/25/2021 1.00 PM. But it is scheduled as 1/26/2021 10.00 AM (18 hours after). Is system check something other ? Or system calculate in a different manner ? Thank you in Advance. Thushitha

Purchase requisitions without lines generated from MRP

Hi,One of our customers is experiencing an issue. MRP is creating purchase requisitions without any lines (part or no part), so only the purchase requisitions header. But, this is ad-hoc (this happens occasionally).Is there a way that MRP can create purchase requisitions without any lines ?I have checked whether there is any custom task to delete the PR lines of certain parts, but there’s no. Labour time not captured when approving operation, if stop production is not done in SFW

Hi all,There is a problem I’m struggling to find whether it’s a bug or due to some setting in the application.Scenario is below.When a shop order operation is started in SFW from Start Shop Order, and then without performing Stop Production, and performing Approve Operation for that shop order operation, the labor hours is not captured for that operation.When approving the operation, the Labor Time is ticked, and the Stop Clockings is also ticked, so as I understand, previously started clocking should be stopped automatically, and planned labor hours should be reported.But, I can see in the Operation statistics that, only the time from that start to stop (0.02) has been posted.If the approve operation is done after performing the stop production (after staring production), all the planned labor hours plus the time between start - stop production us captured. Any idea why it happens ? Is it a bug ? Or is it due to some setting.Below is the setting in the work center.I have checked the s

how to find whether SP1or SP2 in APP8

Hi,How can we find whether an IFS App8 application is SP1 or SP2, if it is not specifically mentioned in the landing page link ?Can it be determined based on the client version (see below pic) specified in the About information ? Or can it be found in somewhere in the application ? Thanks,

Contact Info tab under Contact tab in Supplier screen

Hi, From case G1619382, I came to know that the below (Contact Info sub tab) is available only if the SRM component is installed in App9. I have checked several App9 environments, and I made sure that it is true.sub tabs are available in an instance where SRM component is installed Sub tabs are not available in instances where SRM is not installed However my problem is that >» if those sub tabs are available only if the SRM is installed, why the component is shown as “CRM” for those sub tabs in System Info ? Are the system info incorrect for that LU ? (because these tabs are not available even though the CRM is installed, but SRM is not)Any idea why the system info shows as “CRM” for the component for those sub tabs ? (I have also noticed that a new component called RMCOM (Relationship Management Common) has been introduced for App10 and these tabs in both Suppler and Customer have been included in that component) Maybe someone from IFS Framework team would know the reason. Time in the Scheduled tasks/reports

Hi,When scheduling reports/tasks, from which time zone, the time is shown in the schedule ? In most screens in IFS EE, the date/time is shown as per the time zone set up in the logged in PC.But, in schedules, it is not the time set up as the logged-in PC. Is it shown as per the time zone defined somewhere else in IFS (from the server time) ? Thanks,

RMB option "Outside Operation Complete at Vendor" enabling

Hello, There is a disabled RMB option “Outside Operation Complete at Vendor" when reporting outside operations (subcontracted operations) in shop order operations reporting. I know that we normally do this by involving a purchase order. When I referred IFS Online documentation, it says that the above RMB option can be used when the Purch component is not installed. Can someone confirm that it means that RMB is always disabled if the Purchase (Procurement) component is installed ? Is there a way (some setting or system parameter) to enable that RMB even if the Purchase is installed ? Thank you in advance.

Restrict to untick Labour Time in Start Production dialog box in SFW

Hi,When the users/employees are starting productions on shop order operations which have planned labor run time, the Labor Time tick box in Start Production dialog box is selected by default.However, noticed that the user/employee who is doing the Start Production, can untick it, and proceed, which cause the labor hours/cost is not captured.Is there a way to restrict for the users to untick that checkbox ? Person_Info_Comm_Method_tab

Hi,Does someone know in which version/release in IFS Apps, the table Person_Info_Comm_Method_tab was removed ?I can see that it’s not in App9 and later, but can see in App8.However, in the environment I checked, that table is not being updated with the records added to the Communication Method tab in the Person record. There are some old records in that table.The Comm_Method_tab where party_type = ‘PERSON’ is the table which is get updated with the records added.This causes me to think that the earlier table might have been removed in a release/service pack in App8.Someone have an idea ? Thank you,

Report Rule Log for errors in App8

Hi, In IFS App8 version, Report Rule Log screen does not explain the reason for the errors in detail (why it is in error and so on). At least, an idea can be got, only if a print job ID is also there, so that we can go to the relevant print job and take look.Otherwise, I think we can not find on which report rule, the error has occurred and why. I have checked App9, and it provides a more detailed error description including the rule ID which has had the error.Are these errors are saved in a log file in some folder in the application server in more detail ?Can we get some information through the log ID (the highlighted part in the screen shot) ? Refresh attributes globally or multiple parts at the same time

Is there a way to refresh/update the attributes globally or multiple parts at the same time. If a technical class has been updated with new attributes, characteristics data of the connected parts need to be updated one by one within the RMB “Refresh Attributes” for those parts to be updated with newly added attributes. If there are hundreds/thousands of parts been connected to the same technical class and need to be updated, this is huge time consuming. Is there any option to do this globally or multiple parts at the same time ? Or refreshing server cache would update it ? Thank you in advance ! Thushitha

What is the component version 14.0.0-MEP

Hi, I want to make sure a customer’s instance has been applied with a particular bug fix with the version the customer is in. This is related to App8.The version in the bug details (patched in) is 14.0.0 for PURCH (App8)When I checked the installed components in the customer’s environment for PURCH, it appears as 14.0.0-MEP ? So, does anyone know what does this “MEP” part means in the version ?If the customer has this 14.0.0-MEP version for PURCH, does that mean that bug fix has already been applied ? Thank you

Some uncommon work order reports

Hi,Does anyone have an idea on the use and how the data are populated into the below 3 standard operational reports related to work order.Work Order Index Work Order Information Work Order Operation InformationYou can find these 3 reports in the list of Order Report option in IFS, however, there is no any search parameters and no data is getting into the report, just only the header/footer. I have tried different IFS environments, no data is getting into these reports.Does anyone know about any information for these 3 reports ? Any pre-requisites to be done for the data to be loaded into this. I have a thinking that these reports may be deprecated reports, or have issues but not identified maybe because customers are not using these reports.Any idea ? Best RegardsThushitha

Invoice-Invent Diff Amt/Base

Hi,Does anyone know how the value for the field “Invoice-Invent Diff Amt/Base” in the Invoiced Purchase Orders screen, is calculated ? Any conditions to display the value there ?As it says, the value is taken as (Invoice Price*Qty - Inventory Value*Qty), but I always get it as zero, although the invoice price is different from the Inventory value.It would be great to know the logic of the calculation.
