Dear community,I need your help regarding the export control module as something is not clear for me.If I well understood, each part that are export-controlled needs to be identified, classified and approved in the part catalog. In addition to this, for purchased parts, the classification must also be done in the supplier for purchased part.Why is this required ? because what is troubling me is that we must maintain manually the same information on 2 different windows. And so, it can generates discrepancies if we forget to update one value on one or the other screen.Am I wrong ? or I’ve been missing out on…Thanks for your help

Dear Community,The screen “tool usage report” (IFS Cloud 23.2.2) analyzes the tool instances usage reported only when performing a shop order operation. I thought that this screen listed all the usage even in an analysis result 😕So, I would like to know if there is an other screen or a way to identify the tool instances used in the quality analysis as this information is stored in the data point inspection results. We are currently working on the upgrade from IFS V8 to IFS Cloud 23R2. We have events actions for sending e-mail notification to users with an IFS URL.So, we were forced to update all this navigation URL to be in accordance with Cloud version. Example of an URL added in an event action : https://uat1.ifs.asf.pri/main/ifsapplications/web/page/ChangeRequest/Form;$filter=RequestNo eq $REQUEST_NO$This kind of URL is working smoothly but only for the related environment. The issue we are facing is that as we are on a test environnement and not on the PROD environment, the beginning of the URL is working today but it will not work tomorrow in the PROD environment as it will not be the same. Consequently, to avoid modifications on all events actions containing an URL, we would like if it possible to use a dynamic URL that will change depending on a variable which will be, in our case, the system URL value entered in the system parameters. In Cloud version 22R2, we have control plans using Acceptance sampling parameters.For a part, with “skip lot inspection” and a inspection frequency 1 of 2, the system generates an analysis to be completed for the 1st receipt. For the next receipt, an analysis is also automatically created but in the status “confirmed” with the acceptance sampling status “skip lot” . So nothing to do on this analysis. That is all well and good !However, I do not understand why we cannot receive the part in stock without registering inspection results. In the receipt line, we have a quantity in the field “qty to inspect” and the status is “to be inspected”. Why the status of the receipt is not “to be received” and the qty to inspect 0 ? Is it a misunderstanding from my part or I am missing something ? Because, if I make the parallel with a control plan using a trigger “interval scheduled = 2”, the status of the 2nd receipt is automatically set to “to be received” and the qty to inspect is 0. Is there any function or assistant In cloud version that allows to replace one manufacturing tool by another one in all the routings using it ? Or is it planned in the future ?
I would like to know in 23R1, if it is possible to manage document revisions in the report rules when using the action “check in to document management”.Let me explain with the below example :The customer order confirmation has been printed 6 times. Consequently, each print generated a document which is attached to the customer order.We would like to have only one document even the print has been done many times. So each time a print is done, a new revision of the current document is created. By doing so, there will always be only one document attached to the customer order and this will be the latest released one which is available. Thanks for your help
Dear experts,With IFS Cloud 22R2, when using the create document assistant, the view copy (PDF file) is not imported in addition to the original document.On the contrary, if I check-in a document from the document revision window, the both files (PDF & original) are imported.Is it normal that it is not working with the create document assistant ? Dear community,I need some help for RMA flow within 2 sites.In Cloud version, our scenario is : Company A - Site A - internal customer of site B Company B - Site B (manufacturing site) - internal supplier of site ACustomer orders are released on site A generating automatically a PO for site B and so, a CO + SO on site B for site A. The site B can deliver the parts to site A (Int. Pur. Transit) or directly to the final customer (Int. Purc. Direct)In case of parts to be returned (RMA) by the final customer, I would like to know how to handle this flow with end-to-end traceability ?With the IFS previous version, we created a RMA on site A for the customer, then created an other RMA on site B for the customer Site A and the goods movement between companies was out of IFS (no shipment, no transaction). I know that, on Cloud version, RMA on a site can generate a RMA on the other site but the 2 sites must be linked to the same company so, not possible in our scenario. So, need to be created R

I would like to know how to manage if there is a ban forbidding export to a certain country. So that, the customer order /sales quotation is not allowed to progress (stopped when releasing).I thought we can use the denied party-customer in the export control menu as shown below But, we can release an order on a customer with a denied country.As mentioned in the page help : “Information about the parties that should be denied for use in an order can be filled in on the Denied Party-Supplier, Denied Party-Customer, Denied Party-Forwarder and Denied Party-End User pages which will then be considered before releasing orders.”I worry that something’s going to get missed somewhere.Anyone can help me ?

In VCloud 22R2, it is not allowed. Is there any configuration that is available that would enable the use of values in the Min and Max fields for a data point of type “attribute”.The goal is to give to the operator the dimensions to meet but the measured value is not fulfilled in the analysis result. We only need to know the number of non-conforming parts. Thanks for your help

We are on Apps8 and we would like to manage through IFS, supplier contracts like cell phone contracts, electricity contracts, contracts with universities… The need is basic as we want to be able to identify contracts per supplier but also to manage the deadline of the contracts.All these partners are codified as a supplier. Is the sub contract menu appropriate for that kind of contract or are there alternatives to do so ?Thanks for your help
Dear community, In IFS Cloud, we can make a field editable with the page designer. So when activating this option, we can edit the value in the concerned field but in the below example, there is no possibility to save the modification. The sample size has been modified but there is only the cancel edit button. Am I wrong or I’ve been missing out on ? Thanks for your help

Need your help on a mistery !When uploading a document in IFS (V8), many users get the below message informing that they must have edit access in order to write the file. The users have edit and view access on the concerned doc classes. Even, the DMS administrator already got this message. Documents are stored directly in the database.The strange thing is that this is very irregular and we are unable to replicate intentionnally the message. Most of the time, the second test of uploading the same document immediately after the first one, is working and the document is properly checked-in.I think it is not linked either the users or doc class….but due to what ?Thanks for your help
Need your help in understanding the capability indices calculation.As per IFS, to calculte such quality indices, at least one Control Plan must exist, and at least two Analyses for a Control Plan line in this Control Plan must be in status “complete”. I totally agree with the first prerequisite but do not understand the second one.In fact, in our company, we are manufaturing small run of parts and some of them can only be manufactured once a year. And so, we still must calculate the Cp/Cpk/mean on one shop order and cannot wait the next year to have a second shop order on the same part to estimate the proportion of parts that are within specification limits.Am I mistaken or can IFS fulfiil our requirements in another way ?Thanks for your help
In Apps8, I realized that if a document is attached to a routing operation work guideline, when creating a new routing alternate or a new revision from a routing, this connection is copied. And even when using the “copy part” assistant, the connection “document/RoutingOperWorkGuide” is copied to the new part. On the contrary, if I attach a document directly to a routing operation, this connection is not copied to any new part, routing revision or alternate. Is it a bug ? On the basis of the above point, is it possbile to call this function “document connected” in a custom event in order to copy the doc connection when it is attached to a routing operation ? Hi, Need some help on purchase requisition authorization for express order (order code 5).I do not find how to limit the total amount for users who are using this order code. Let me explain : From 0 to 500€ : they can place PR/PO with order code 5 with no authorization >500€ : the express order is not allowed and must no be used. So they have to place normal PR/POThanks
In V8, is there a way in the document management system to restrict access to documents in obsolete status for users who have only view access on doc class. We would like to give them view access only to documents in released status, so that they are not able to find a document in preliminary or obsolete status. Thanks for your help
